Beachfront holiday rental in Scotland

This was one of the best AB&B we have stayed at. Such a warm and clean property, with views of the beach that were breathtaking! A great central location to explore the North Coast. Although very rural and quiet, there is a nice coffee hut a few minutes walk in one direction and a lovely camp site in the other, with a cafe, restaurant and pub. The owners live on the site but were never seen or heard and it felt very private. They were on hand if anything was required and gave lots of helpful information. Our dog Rusty absolutely loved the large lawned area at the front of the property, which was totally enclosed and secure. We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the North Coast.

This is a fantastic place to stay for a short break, house is lovely, clean and most important a comfy bed, parking in the drive and the view is incredible. Walked along the coast to thinkers hill and the former lime kilns. Meal at the Anchor hotel, and ice cream at the wee cafe. Will definately visit again, thanks Loren

A small gem, totally quiet & on a beautiful, natural property on the outermost tip of Skye, as it could not fit better to the island! I felt very welcome & immediately at home! Thank you very much for the great hospitality!

When we arrived at Juliet’s cottage we instantly knew we were in for a treat. With lambs and bunnies literally outside the front door - we felt fully immersed in nature. The cottage has been beautifully decorated with extra special touches including the local artwork and textiles. We absolutely loved our stay, and feel incredibly grateful that we were lucky enough to experience Skirnish Cottage whilst on a trip visiting Scotland (where my family is originally from) with our 1 year old before our next baby arrives!

Lovely place to stay, lot of effort to keep the place clean and tidy and very animal friendly. Arrived to two goodie bags for the dogs as well . Will definitely be back to stay again. Thank you

Stay at David’s place was great! The area was very close by to the beach. Close to Edinburgh as well so was able to do day trips there. There is plenty to do in the resort as well. The rooms were slightly smaller than expected but didn’t affect us too much.

This garden cottage was straight out of a romantic fairytale! The gorgeous garden surrounding the cottage and the view of the water and misty rolling hills framed perfectly by a stone wall and ivy were just breathtaking (especially while sitting in the wood fire heated hot tub). The cottage itself was incredibly cozy. We had nearly gotten stranded on Islay with car issues and we weren’t even sure we’d get to enjoy this stop on our holiday. By the time we arrived, we were completely exhausted from the chaos of the previous 24 hours so this relaxing and welcoming space was exactly what we needed to decompress. ☺️ The cottage was well equipped and very clean! We had everything we needed and then some. Caroline was an exceptional host. She was remarkably responsive and lovely to interact with both prior to our stay (when we weren’t sure we’d be able to make it) and during our stay! Anyone with the opportunity to stay here, should absolutely do it! Thank you for everything, Caroline!!

The park itself is a 1 way system and the caravan was quite high up. However we stopped to speak to groundsmen on site who straight away said follow me I’ll take you to the caravan. All staff were lovely. The caravan was as described. Very homely and modern. The outdoor space is amazing with lovely rattan furniture and hot tub. We used the hot tub everyday and it’s big enough for 6 people. The weather unfortunately wasn’t on our side all week so we didn’t dine outside. However I would definitely return. We had a slight issue with heating the first night. Lisa was back and forth messaging and said she would contact staff at reception to rectify the next day. However this was sorted over text in the end. An amazing stay, great views across the water. It was beautiful x

Second stay at this beautiful caravan that once again did not disappoint. Lovely, comfortable, homely caravan in the most peaceful spot on a great site. We can not get enough of the amazing views of the sea, right outside the caravan. Sitting out on the balcony is one of our most favourite things to do here, with also the quick walk to the beach to paddle in the sea and make sandcastles with the children. Our children absolutely loved staying here again withe plenty to do on the site and wonderful surrounding places to visit. Lots of lovely personal touches in the caravan that make it feel very welcoming. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

We loved our stay at Signal House. House is absolutely beautiful. It’s in such a lovely location with fantastic views along the coastline. Easy to walk into Amble or along coastal path in both directions. House amazing, spotlessly clean. We hope to come back some time. Thankyou Tracey for a great stay x

The most peaceful place to relax, views across the bay are stunning and even when it was wet it was so cosy inside looking out and watching the weather changing. Got the most beautiful sunset on the first night. This wee hidden gem did not disappoint from start to finish and if you’re lucky enough to find it on Airbnb then 100% book it !

Being a long time traveler I can honestly say that Alex’ place is THE most beautiful house I have ever been. We were looking forward to “coming home” after each day trip. Alex has been more than a host. It felt like having a friend on Skye. We will definitely be back - we loved it ◡̈

Thank you Katie and Howard for providing a lovely place to stay, again. We love its counter-intuitive brilliance - small, but everything's there (including the most comfortable, enormous bed); nestled beside a huge (ex)church and trees, yet with a beautiful view of the sea; pared-down fixtures and fittings, but all generally top quality (plus fresh flowers!). Truly, The Vestry is a place where 'Less is More'.

What a wonderful place to visit. Kerrera can be enjoyed in a day but better over a weekend and Zoe’s place was just perfect. The view, the cosiness.. it was just lovely. Zoe is one of the most accommodating hosts we’ve ever met - she was so kind and the lift from and back to the ferry was a lifesaver after a weekend of walking the island. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the chalet and I hope we’ll be back one day. Lovely lunch at the tea garden, lovely meal up at the marina, amazing walks and views. Definitely a hidden gem and a must visit.

Graham and Natasha have truly outdone themselves with this stay, you will feel instantly like you are returning to long time friends in a cosy home. High recommend on the salmon dish for breakfast, and make sure if you have any questions about the area that you ask G&N as they'll be able to provide some great history, but also advice on what to do and what to skip. We had the most amazing stay, and feel we have made friends for life. if you get the chance, I cannot recommend this stay enough. Beautiful home full of beautiful peoole! I'll be back!

What a lovely little escape! Even though we were only here for one night, this beautiful cabin by the sea gave us a peaceful and memorable break. The sound of the waves, the fresh sea air, and the cozy touches inside made it feel like a true retreat. Thank you for creating such a welcoming and relaxing space—we only wish we could have stayed longer! Hopefully we’ll be back again soon. All the best, Dean & Linda

From the moment we arrived at Lazy Bed we felt truly at home. A wonderful, warm welcome from Gita who gave us plenty of tips and recommendations for our few days of life in the Highlands! Nestled amongst mature shrubs and trees and yet with a wonderful view of the bay, we felt as though we were living in a hide, with floor to ceiling windows facing the sea. One of the most peaceful places we have ever visited - the only sounds were the birds, sheep and the distant flow of water. The fresh air was sweet and pure. The accommodation has been extremely well thought out with everything you could wish for with ample storage space - All spotlessly clean and fresh. The kingsize bed was so comfy!! Our stay was over all too quickly and it was hard to leave but we will come back, one day!
