Shepherds hut holiday rentals in United Kingdom

Stayed here for 2 nights for the bank holiday weekend. The area was beautiful, the Lodge itself was modern and very clean. It made for a perfect get away with the private Hot Tub and cosy fireplace over looking the scenic view. Lodge was very private and secure. They provided firewood and blankets for the nights we were there and hosted a small shop for immediate conveniences such as drinks and snacks. Their information booklet had detailed lists of local shops, restaurants and nearby walks which was amazing, it saved us a lot of effort in a new area trying to find things to explore. We didn't get chance to check out the farm they had with several animals but were lucky enough to have the farm house cats come visit us each morning which we loved!

we had a superb getaway, ideal for timeout and a recharge. everything was as described and the mattress was so comfortable. is now on our favourites lists to return back to.

Celebrated our 1 year anniversary and it was absolutely lovely, we are definitely going back! Lynden was so lovely and gave clear instructions that made finding eveything so easy, love our tour of the farm and feeding all the animals that were so friendly! The room was really nice and decorated so beautifully & really appreciated the complimentary snacks. We loved the hot tub, lighting the fire for our marshmallows, and how close the animals got to us! Was a lovely place to stay felt so at home and welcomed, would define my recommend :)

We loved our stay in the shepherd's hut. We wanted a peaceful escape surrounded by nature and it was exactly that. We were rained in for one day but it ended up being our favourite experience- the hut is so cosy, everything you need is to hand, and we could sit and watch the scenery for hours. On the sunnier days there is a short walk to the coast path and the views of the coastline. The toilet and shower is the perfect set up, we also loved the outside bath and the wood stove.

Our stay was perfect - we loved it. The views our amazing; it is very peaceful and the hot tub and fire were a bonus.

We had the most perfect stay at Rosies Retreat with our dog. Lucy was a fantastic host, we loved how accommodating she was through airbnb and we love a key box check in, we were left to enjoy the space which is how we like it but we knew she was there in the background if we did find we needed anything. This is a perfect retreat with a well behaved reactive dog who just loves to look out at a view and has nothing around to spook them 🐾 all three of us are fully recharged and already looking forward to another visit sometime x

We were so looking forward to getting to the cabin, but due to personal reasons we had to cancel. Despite the very short notice, Frank was kind and considerate. Overall Frank answered all our questions with kindness, found us a driver to assist us, and showed great willingness to make our stay perfect. Thank you so much Frank!

Amazing from start to finish! Great communication, easy directions, smooth self check in and a lovely rural peaceful location! We all felt very welcome. The Shepherd’s Hut was spotless and very well prepared for us with a thoughtful little welcome gifts. We really appreciated the attention to every single detail! The guide book with local tips was very useful. Now I regret not booking more nights as this was only a little stop on our way down to south Cornwall, but we’ll definitely be back! We had a wonderful couple of days staying at Meadowsweet! If you want some peace and quiet and to get back to nature this is the perfect spot - the only things to be heard are the birds singing and nearby river rumbling. The location is very private and secluded, with all the amenities you could need. Ryan always responded to us right away and was really friendly, especially when we accidentally broke something in the cabin (sorry again!). Would definitely recommend.

Cosy, comfortable and charming shepherd's hut surrounded by beautiful greenery. Peter is a very attentive and friendly host. Came here for the South Downs Way 50k, so the hot tub was a welcome bonus! Would recommend to couples or solo travellers looking for a peaceful countryside retreat.

I had such a lovely stay at the Leveret Shepherds Hut. Such a beautiful and peaceful location, the only noise was the cows! Louise was super helpful sending over a bunch of information a week before my stay so I was able to plan ahead. Thoroughly recommend if you want to get out into the country, whilst still enjoying the luxuries of WiFi, a warm bed and a hot shower!

What a wonderful stay! We have stayed at many Devon based shepherds huts but this was our favourite so far. Modern, charming, clean and a beautiful view. Not to mention the relaxing tub outside with water jets. Very relaxing!

A very relaxing stay! Couldn’t fault the hosts with very useful instructions everything was clear and easygoing. Loved the privacy and surrounding area. Hope to return soon!

The perfect long weekend stay! Thomas and Lauren were so friendly helping us with local recommendations and offered to pre-warm the hot tub for us on our arrival (so kind!!). The place itself is spotlessly clean and the location is absolutely idyllic- we were lucky enough to have clear skies and lots of sunshine and it was magical. The pizza oven was super easy to use and Lauren sorted us out with some pizza dough (even though it was v last minute planning from us, oops) and the firepit was so cosy as the sun was setting over the fields. They've really thought about practicalities with kitchen utensils/tea/coffee/oil/salt etc so cooking at home was also super straightforward. Very easy to find with minimal instructions and overlooks fields with a stream down at the bottom and nothing else! Wouldn't change a single thing- thank you so much for having us!!

We had such a wonderful stay for my partners birthday, Clive went the extra mile to make us feel welcome by putting up some birthday decorations and leaving us some treats for when we arrived. It's a perfect place to get away and unwind in nature, we were always surrounded by animals whether it was Norman the cat visiting during a bbq, hanging out with the goats, or watching the ducks drift about in the stream while relaxing in the hot tub. Thank you very much to Clive and Nikki for hosting us. I cannot recommend Kingfisher enough, we truly had an amazing time :)

Wow wow wow! Headland hideaway is stunning! Absolutely gorgeous, Mike was amazing!!! Messaged every day to check all is okay, send photos of the signpost where to turn and exactly where to park etc. his food recommendation were helpful and stop on! Tried lots and all were amazing! The pool was the biggest hit and we were so lucky when we stayed we had amazing weather! Everything was spotless and modern, loved the remote control curtains! A fabulous half term dreamy weekend! Thank you so much Mike! It was an absolute pleasure!

This place is simply amazing, the hut next to the animals and the views are breathtaking. We loved our stay in which we did plan to go out in to stone for the night but as so beautiful we easily decided to stay. I cannot recommend this place highly enough…you will not be disappointed. See you again soon.

This place is lovely! Steve is great, so friendly and really helpful. My girlfriend particularly loved the goats, but the entire experience was just lovely. Highly recommend

What an absolute gem of a place. Beautiful accommodation in the most peaceful surroundings. The hut was immaculate with plenty of facilities. Sitting in the hot tub with the most amazing views has been delightful. An absolute must to visit to recharge the batteries. Highly recommend this lovely hut - We will definitely return.

We have just returned from two nights away and we are so sad to be home. The shepherds hut felt like our own little piece of heaven set in a beautiful location. Bryony had thought of everything we might need- milk in the fridge, eggs, robes, towels etc and even a bar of chocolate! If you want to switch off and relax then this is the place for you!

We only stayed one night but this place was exactly what we needed! peaceful, quiet, Tom helped us to check in early which was super nice. There is no wifi at the hut (as far as I’m aware) but like I said, we only stayed for one night so it was perfectly fine! If we’re ever in the area again, we would happily stay again.

There aren’t enough stars to give this property! Immediately on arrival you feel at home. Such a peaceful and beautiful location cut off from everything yet you still feel like you have everything you could possibly need (and things you didn’t even think you’d need, including a little ramp for small doggies to get up the steps to the hut!) We came here for our dog’s first Birthday and for a relaxing weekend away just us three. We booked in January but Stu and Bev still remember why we’d booked and we arrived to a homemade Birthday card and Happy Birthday bunting for our dog. The welcome hamper was so thoughtful and the brownies were delicious! There were so many other thoughtful touches throughout the whole property like milk and juice in the fridge and amazing smelling toiletries that made this a home from home. You can really tell Stu and Bev know what “dog friendly” actually means and two nights was not enough to enjoy this gorgeous location and we will most certainly be back!!
