Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Schroon Lake

We loved our stay at the Owl’s Nest! Rebecca was so communicative, kind, and friendly, and her home is so cozy, clean, and comfortable. Each bedroom is spacious and offered plenty of privacy and space for everyone in our group. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to make meals in and the backyard is so beautiful - a really peaceful setting to just enjoy a cup of coffee on the back deck. We’d love to come back!

Friends and I stayed at Julius’ place for the Blackfly Bike Race, it was conveniently located for the race and well suited for a weekend with friends. Nice amenities and beautiful views as well.

Our stay was amazing. The scenery was beautiful, the cabin itself was well stocked and clean and our host was extremely responsive and helpful. We will definitely be returning in the future!

The easiest 5 stars I've ever given! It's my family's 5th year coming to the Stone Lodge and it's our favorite trip of the year. From the bald eagles nesting across the lake from you, and the private sandy beach, to the fire pits at night, and the kayaks out on the lake, it's just the perfect spot. Amazing hosts too! Cannot wait to return again for a 6th time to make even more memories.

My husband was out of town & I wanted to take our 3 boys on an adventure for winter break. My oldest is about to turn 16 & had wanted to hike in the Adirondacks so I thought, what better memory to make with my guys than hiking & skiing in paradise? And Reese helped make those memories even more amazing. We drove in from Manlius, NY through a blizzard that ended up shutting down roads all behind us but the skies cleared & the sun was out as soon as we entered ADK. We hiked a frigid and windswept Stewart Mountain (just down the road from Moonshine Lodge) and then headed to our home away from home and that’s exactly what it felt like when we walked in: cozy, clean & just like the photos. It was perfect for us. From the loft (!!!) to the beautiful kitchen. We had 4 perfect days hiking, skiing Gore & just relaxing back at the cabin. The games were such a hit. Reese was so helpful whenever I had a question. Just a standout host with a beautiful home to share. We’d love to go back!

My husband, dog, and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we were so happy that we did. This place is so pretty inside and outside. The check in was the easiest check in I have ever done and this airbnb was the best one I have ever stayed at. We were close to all the activities we wanted to do, yet it was still quiet. We could walk to town very easily and it was a bonus that we could leave our dog in the airbnb so when we went on harder hikes she could stay home. It really felt like a home. On top of the vibes and aestethic of the house, Amy and Ryan could not have been better hosts. Amy was so communicative, helpful, and friendly during the whole time of our stay and leading up to it. Lastly, we had Justin the private chef and that was one of the best experiences my husband and I could have. This was such a nice getaway and this place is 100% worth the money. We will be staying here again. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Thank you for making the honeymoon so memorable.

The space was fantastic for our two little families with easy access to the local Slate Valley Trails. Lots of wonderful and attentive touches to make our stay homey welcoming. Hope to return again soon!

Cheryl’s place was absolutely lovely. It was in a private wooded area which felt peaceful whether we were sitting inside or out. We used the porches and deck every day to enjoy sitting outside. The home was very clean. It was the best equipped air bnb I have stayed in. What is also rare is that it had everything we needed without being cluttered. There was lots of open kitchen space for putting away our groceries and also enough dishes and plates to serve my large family who came by for dinner. The location is a perfect spot - a nice walkable distance from the town and shops. We enjoyed a nice walk down by the lake each morning. The home is as pictured but, in my opinion, is much more spacious than it looked online. We were very pleased with the space, especially the large family room. Cheryl was very friendly and responsive to all of our needs. We would definitely come back to this air bnb again.

Ideal, beautiful location for visiting Middlebury and this gorgeous region of Vermont. The setting by the river is stunning and soothing. The unit is very comfortable and has everything you need. The host is gracious and welcoming. We feel so fortunate to have found this lovely location!

Stayed for an event at Middlebury College. Convenient for our event and close to many stores and restaurants. Place is cost and well kept. Perfect size for a couple!

Klara and Greg are a very engaging young couple who make their guests feel right at home. They have created exceptionally well appointed accommodation, which is extremely well equipped, and the decor is eclectic and interesting. Their garden is well maintained and full of interest. It was a delight to share this space with them and so many birds. We are happy to recommend the property to others. It stands in a small, quiet town surrounded by rivers, forests, lakes and waterfalls - perfect for exploring on foot, bike or car.

An amazing property that offers one of a kind views of the surrounding mountains all while sitting in a hot tub or laying on a couch. Great jump spot for hiking into the High Peaks Wilderness! Don is an amazing host and will exceed all expectations. We truly look forward to our next visit at the Ridgeline.

We had an excellent stay at Jills. The space was very clean and well equipped with everything needed. The Hot tub was very enjoyable. Jill was a wonderful host and went above and beyond to assure our stay was great!

We had the incredible pleasure of staying at Elyse’s home in the days leading up to our wedding, and I can honestly say it was one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had. The house itself is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and full of charm. Every room has its own personality, and the views of Schroon Lake are simply breathtaking. Waking up to the morning mist and soft fog rolling over the water felt like something out of a dream. Whether we were sipping coffee on the cozy deck, relaxing by the fire, or enjoying dinner in the sunroom overlooking the lake, every moment was serene. Elyse and her husband were the most gracious hosts—thoughtful, kind, and genuinely warm. You can feel the care they’ve poured into this home and the joy they take in sharing it. We couldn’t recommend this place more to anyone looking for a restful escape or a meaningful stay in nature. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Our stay at Luxe Logs was fantastic. To start, Todd shared a very comprehensive welcome guide in advance that was easy to follow and very helpful in getting acquainted with the property. Todd even proactively provided us early check-in without our asking. The property itself was wonderful and perfectly located for Adirondack activities. You really felt like you were deep in the woods, but still just a 5 minute drive to Gore for skiing and less than 10 minutes to town and restaurants. The cabin was extremely clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was the perfect balance of quaint/rustic and modern/luxury. After a long day of skiing, the sitting area was extremely comfortable and the kitchen was very well appointed with appliances, cookware, and probably the most spices I've seen at an AirBnB. Everything was just as shown in the pictures and we honestly couldn't think of any complaints. Would 100% stay again.

We had a wonderful weekend at Lake George. The cabin was so cozy and homey, and we loved the firepit outside. Scott was a great host, quick and helpful communication, and was super flexible with check-in/check-out. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back sometime!!

This was a beautiful home. It’s extremely warm and welcoming and served our family well for the weekend.

We had a fabulous long weekend at Shasta’s place. Our family loves the outdoors and the location couldn’t have been better. It is right on Garnet Hill XC ski and snowshoe trails. Garnet Hill has been a favorite of our for years and so discovering this house was a gem of a find. It is also super close to Gore for some great downhill skiing and great snowshoe trails are also close. It is also super quiet being away from roads and other houses. We enjoyed cuddling up in front of the fire and playing games in the evening. We’re definitely planning to try to come back in the future!

The Mountain House was more spectacular than the photos! The details in the decor are lovely! The setting is very private and quiet! The grounds were well cared for. We loved the large front porch and spent a lot of time on it taking in the peace and quiet while drinking our morning coffee. It is a wonderful retreat. We would definitely come back again!

Amazing location to xc ski at Garnett Hill (right down the road about 5-10 mins) or Gore Mtn to ski (about 15 mins away). The location is very peaceful and the house itself is a great mix of updated and cabin cozy. We have two young boys ages 6 and 3 and found the layout to be kid friendly and safe, no issues with the stairs. The host even left a high chair in the entertainment room ( which we didn't use but was a nice feature for families with young kids). We found the amenities to be great, it was comfortable to stay and cook in the kitchen and use all the appliances--we used the coffee maker, stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave. The showers were warm and bathrooms were updated and nice. We all took full advantage of the wood stoves and sauna after skiing and playing in the snow. Amenities are within 10-15 mins in North Creek, we found the food options at Tops to be great. Would recommend to any families or outdoor seekers!

Wow! We had an amazing stay at Ashley’s Airbnb this past week. The house was extremely clean and charming. It was perfect for our family and dogs. It’s only a 3 minute commute to downtown and 5 minute from million dollar beach, which is perfect for when you are traveling with dogs and little ones. The backyard is so calm and serene. This was the cleanest Airbnb we have ever stayed at. The mattresses are extremely comfortable and the blackout curtains are an added bonus. They provide the propane for the grill and firewood, which are just a few less items to worry about bringing. We have already booked our stay for next summer. You can’t beat the combination of privacy and location.
