Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Schroon Lake

Booked the house for a writers' retreat, we all couldn't have been happier with the place and with our stay there. The house is spacious, but more importantly, it's very comfortably set up, with multiple areas to sit together, relax or work. The large windows on the first floor have an amazing view, in our case to a thunderstorm on our first night, which was pretty spectacular to see through all those windows. The kitchen had everything we needed to make some big breakfasts, and the location nearby to Middlebury and not far from Burlington was convenient. Rich's communication was excellent and we always felt that we had all the information we needed immediately at hand. I would absolutely recommend this place for a family or small group trip, and will hopefully have the chance to come back sometime!

The flat was very clean and easy to find. Amy was very responsive and sent us a curated list of recommendations. We also loved the sauna, perfect for rainy days.

Tim’s cabin was absolutely beautiful, its in a quiet location, right in the woods. perfect place to get away from the stresses and noise of daily life back at home. not to mention if you wanted to lake george is just a 15 minute drive down so we were able to enjoy everything the area has to offer. the house its self is super spacious and was able to accommodate 12 of us without it feeling stuffy or small. Tim is awesome! super cool guy, very helpful and communicative. i definitely would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a nice stay in the adirondack/lake george area

A fantastic week, The home is a great place to relax and get away. I highly recommend renting this location for the views and amenities. The host does not leave a thousand chores to do when you go to leave like other hosts. If you’re ever thinking about renting in lake George, save this listing.

Lovely home in a lovely setting. The view is breathtaking and Barbara has outfitted the space woth everything you could possibly need. She is extremely thoughtful and personable. The area is great for hiking and outdoor activities but is also near Middlebury College and Burlington.

David’s place was a beautiful riverfront location, with all amenities we needed. David was responsive and attentive. The surroundings were green and peaceful. We wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend and hope to return in the future.

Evan was more than accommodating; He responds immediately and takes great care of the property overall. I have just recently been diagnosed with muscular dystrophy and it has been hard finding a place that met all of my accessibility needs. While I'm not yet wheel chair bond, I can't do stairs. Having a stair free entrance and walk in shower made everything much more convenient. The pool is bigger than I thought it would be as well! 10/10 all the way around!

Todd was an excellent host. He was clear and informative about check in/out and the cabin amenities. We had a great time staying at Todd’s place. It was very cute and quite comfortable. We had a wonderful & relaxing weekend here with a large group for my sister's lowkey bachelorette party. Even with a day of non-stop pouring rain, we were perfectly content with staying in and enjoying the coziness of the house. We had a blast watching the chickens roam around and hanging out with the overly-friendly barn cats while we sat outside. The goats & pigs were happy to greet us at the fence every time. The hot tub and pool were perfect! Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a beautifully scenic and peaceful getaway. Thanks, Sarah & BBVF team!

We had a fantastic stay at this home in Johnsburg! The house was spotless, spacious, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The fully equipped kitchen made meal prep easy, and we really appreciated how dog-friendly the space was—our two pups felt right at home. The hot tub and pool were a huge bonus, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the Adirondacks. Our child loved the fun game room stocked with toys, and the pool table provided entertainment for the adults, too. Highly recommend for families or groups looking for comfort and fun in a beautiful setting!

A perfect place for a weekend getaway for two. It is a really comfortable cabin in a quiet and convenient location between Bolton Landing and the village of Lake George. The gas fireplace and bedroom heater were perfect for the colder weather. We would definitely stay again!

My wife, our dog, and I had a wonderful stay at Shyra's place. The home was clean, warm, and welcoming—our dog felt right at home. Waking up to stunning views of the high peaks from the backyard was truly unforgettable. Short drives to Schroon Lake and Ticonderoga. A great home base of you're looking to hike any of the Adirondack high peaks. Shyra was communicative and very responsive throughout our stay. We’re already looking forward to our next visit! If you are reading this review.. BOOK this place right now. I have stayed in over 50 AirBnB’s across the US and this one stands out on another level. The attention to detail in every corner. The cleanliness. The amazing hospitality with the host walking us around the entire place giving us a tour. All the games blankets full bar and kitchen utensils were an amazing touch. I would easily go back. Loved this cabin so much it was home away from home. Did a small friend’s gathering for New Year’s Eve we spent 4 days here and didn’t want to leave. I’m telling you, if you see this review just book it. There isn’t a better option.

We had such a great time at Ashley's place and really appreciated the welcome basket & being able to bring our 2 kitties with us to stay that need meds. (We also loved the neighborhood porch kitty that visited daily.) Thank you SO much, Ashley!

Our stay at Luxe Logs was fantastic. To start, Todd shared a very comprehensive welcome guide in advance that was easy to follow and very helpful in getting acquainted with the property. Todd even proactively provided us early check-in without our asking. The property itself was wonderful and perfectly located for Adirondack activities. You really felt like you were deep in the woods, but still just a 5 minute drive to Gore for skiing and less than 10 minutes to town and restaurants. The cabin was extremely clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was the perfect balance of quaint/rustic and modern/luxury. After a long day of skiing, the sitting area was extremely comfortable and the kitchen was very well appointed with appliances, cookware, and probably the most spices I've seen at an AirBnB. Everything was just as shown in the pictures and we honestly couldn't think of any complaints. Would 100% stay again.

This house was a great spot for our family of four (and our dog!) to base out of while skiing Gore and Whiteface and visiting Lake Placid. We enjoyed having lots of space and appreciated the modern bathrooms and kitchen. We also appreciated that the house is walking distance from the grocery store, shops, and restaurants. The grocery store in town is good and we had a fun dinner out at Sticks & Stones. The hosts were very responsive any time we had questions. Thanks for a great stay! We’d love to come back in the summer…seems like a great lake town!

Cheryl’s place was absolutely lovely. It was in a private wooded area which felt peaceful whether we were sitting inside or out. We used the porches and deck every day to enjoy sitting outside. The home was very clean. It was the best equipped air bnb I have stayed in. What is also rare is that it had everything we needed without being cluttered. There was lots of open kitchen space for putting away our groceries and also enough dishes and plates to serve my large family who came by for dinner. The location is a perfect spot - a nice walkable distance from the town and shops. We enjoyed a nice walk down by the lake each morning. The home is as pictured but, in my opinion, is much more spacious than it looked online. We were very pleased with the space, especially the large family room. Cheryl was very friendly and responsive to all of our needs. We would definitely come back to this air bnb again.

Lovely place. A private separate building on a family property. We rushed in and out because we were there for a bike race, but I really wanted to stay longer and enjoy the space. I loved the two chairs set out in a tree shaded area. The bed was comfortable, the place had real charm, and Melissa was around and responsive.

We had a wonderful stay at Jessica's comfortable home. The location was fantastic, as we were attending our niece's wedding at the Lodge at Schroon Lake. It was so nice to only be a 5 minute drive away and 5 minutes to town. The house was very private and its location was great. We hiked Gull Pond, Mt. Severance, relaxed at Schroon Lake public beach, ate at Stix and Stones, got ice cream at Stewarts (yum!)... It was all great! Jessica was so wonderful to work with. She replied immediately to any questions that we had! Truly a Super host! We really appreciate her sharing her beautiful home with us. It held all 8 of us with ease. Thanks for a great stay and the wonderful family memories! It was so nice to be back at our favorite ADK lake! Sue & Tom (and family)

Wow! We had an amazing stay at Ashley’s Airbnb this past week. The house was extremely clean and charming. It was perfect for our family and dogs. It’s only a 3 minute commute to downtown and 5 minute from million dollar beach, which is perfect for when you are traveling with dogs and little ones. The backyard is so calm and serene. This was the cleanest Airbnb we have ever stayed at. The mattresses are extremely comfortable and the blackout curtains are an added bonus. They provide the propane for the grill and firewood, which are just a few less items to worry about bringing. We have already booked our stay for next summer. You can’t beat the combination of privacy and location.

My boyfriend and our dogs absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cabin and would love to come back. It is walking distance to the small town with grocery store, great food, and of course the beautiful lake. Everything about this place is peaceful, serene, and the perfect relaxation escape. The interior of the cabin was spotless, charmingly decorated, and equipped with everything we needed. The interior decor was cozy and made us feel at home. We were very comfortable staying in such a well maintained, clean house. The bed was more comfortable than mine, the kitchen had everything we needed, and it was roomy with the four of us. There were extra towels (even dog towels), chargers, shower stuff - really anything you could’ve forgotten the host had available. Tony was incredibly responsive and provided a packet with great local tips: activities, restaurants, etc, everything you need to know for every season. I highly recommend staying here during your travels. Loved it so much!
