Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Schenkenzell

One of the Best Airbnb Stays We've Had! This villa was truly one of the best Airbnb properties we’ve ever stayed in. It’s a spacious house with all modern amenities, beautifully maintained and perfectly located. The views of the Black Forest from both the living room and bedroom were absolutely stunning. The large balcony with a dining table made it perfect for enjoying meals with a breathtaking view. The villa also has a beautiful garden and a lovely outdoor sitting area, perfect for relaxing in the peaceful surroundings. The private sauna and wellness area were a fantastic bonus — we wish we had booked a couple more days to enjoy it even more! Melanie was a wonderful and friendly host, making our stay even more comfortable. Just a note for future guests: having your own transportation is essential, as there’s no public transport nearby. We’re already looking forward to visiting again!

The previous evaluations have raised high expectations, which have been consistently met. Everything that has been written so far is true! The prepared hiking routes are particularly great, some of which start right at the house. After hiking, relaxation in the sauna, then a cozy evening in the beautiful apartment. Only one disadvantage: we didn't stay there long enough! So only recommended, and indeed host and holiday home, you live and live effectively as on cloud 7.

We were very satisfied with Mr. Hartmut and the accommodation. Was our 1st time at an AirBnB and a nice experience. Mr. Hartmut has apparently not received such good reviews for nothing. He always seemed very straightforward and friendly. Makes everything very transparent and fair. In our 4 days and 3 nights, we felt comfortable and cannot complain about the price, cleanliness and performance at all. Simply great, no lie. Thanks again for a nice time.

Beautiful accommodation. We extended one night right away because we liked it so much. The host is super friendly and explains everything very well. The apartment was very clean and there is everything you need. The accommodation is not far from a S-Bahn station. We look forward to coming back soon.

Claudia's house is a gem - a mix of style icons, museum and antique shop. Those who are prone to too many impressions per square meter will not feel comfortable. Everyone else will be very excited. Big pluses: the well-equipped kitchen, the sociable guest and pub room as well as the garden with diverse barbecue facilities - and if necessary - an outdoor kitchen. We felt very comfortable.

Manuel's house is great for exploring the surrounding area and experiencing a few nice days on the edge of the Black Forest. We enjoyed it very much. Great communication, extremely nice, absolutely clean and everything your heart desires. We will be back!

The accommodation was extremely quiet in a beautiful location with very good excursion possibilities. Very clean and very well equipped, also really nicely designed. Nice contact - we were able to quickly and easily resolve a minor damage we had caused after departure.

Stayed here with 2 kids. Beautiful flat, amazing views over the lake and an ideal location just a short walk into the town and from the train station. The main bed was SO comfy, heating was very quick to kick in and cosy. Kitchen well equipped. Thank you.

I had an amazing and peaceful stay at this beautiful home. I visited with four friends, and the space was perfect for us — clean, quiet, and very relaxing. The host was kind and helpful, even offering us a fresh organic salad picked straight from their backyard, which was a lovely touch. The natural surroundings made it feel like a true escape. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy great hospitality!

Lovely and well-thought out apartment. Perfect for couples or digital nomads. Benjamin put great thought and detail into the space, which had everything we needed--even hot water bottles, blankets, and chargers. The neighborhood is beautiful, quiet, and walkable, and we enjoyed the local restaurants and live music. The apartment had lots of windows, a comfortable bed, and plenty of dish-ware and cutlery to cook. Benjamin is friendly, helpful, and quick to respond, and the space was clean and well-furnished. Would recommend to anyone, and am hoping to one day return!

My friend and I stayed at Geny et Richard's accommodation for 6 nights in late May. Our hosts were extremely friendly, thoughtful, and helpful. Geny had a lovely bottle of wine to welcome us and stocked our fridge for next day's breakfast (and more!) because of our late arrival. She even walked us to our restaurant on our first evening and gave us a lift to the train station one morning for an early excursion departure. The house was extremely spacious, well equipped, with lots of natural light, and even prettier than in the pictures. The small balcony on the landing and the garden were delightful. The neighbourhood was quiet and private, with good access to busses and only a 15-20 minute walk to Notre Dame Cathedral. The apartment might pose a challenge to people with limited mobility due to the number of stairs needed to reach both the first and second floors. But overall, a great spot to stay in Strasbourg. Thank you Geny et Richard for making our stay such an enjoyable one!

We felt very comfortable with Andrea and her family! The apartment is exactly as in the photos and description, also the amenities were not missing. The view is definitely unique, including the surroundings. Our stay with Andrea was not only uncomplicated, but also very familiar and warm-hearted. We will definitely be back!

We were very warmly welcomed and guided directly through the rooms, which immediately gave us a good feeling. The accommodation was fully equipped – we especially liked the beautiful, well-equipped kitchen. It really had everything you need. The outdoor area is a real highlight: the garden is very well maintained, invites you to relax and offers a fantastic view. Overall, the Airbnb is in a quiet residential area, which is very pleasant – but you should also be careful not to be too loud. The fitness equipment is a nice extra and perfectly sufficient for a small workout - but it could be oiled again :) We had a very nice stay overall and would definitely recommend the accommodation! Everything was right here.

We were a larger group and had a great stay all around! The welcome was extremely warm and friendly. The house has exceeded our expectations – it is very spacious, well equipped and offers a variety of ways to use. We all felt very comfortable and would love to come back any time. The accommodation was just like in the photos: modern, clean and furnished with great attention to detail. We were there professionally for a few workshop days and felt completely comfortable. The quiet surroundings and stylish ambience created an inspiring atmosphere in which creative work was wonderfully possible. Saartje is a great host. Very warm, quick to reach and always helpful. All our questions were answered immediately, and a later check-out was also completely uncomplicated after prior arrangement. We were 100% satisfied and can recommend the accommodation without reservation, both for professional stays and for private breaks.

We were 3 families each with a 2, 5 and 9 year old child. Our dog was there too. We spent our New Year's Eve there. Everything was as described and the place was super clean. If you want to spend a few quiet days and want to cook, you are in perfect hands there. Rarely found such a perfectly equipped kitchen. The dog was able to jump around in the entire large garden, as everything was completely fenced and thus also got his money's worth. We would go back there in a heartbeat! Clear recommendation!

Very nice place to stay for a weekend with friends or family. Spacious kitchen, bathrooms and rooms. Separated from the lake only by the (non-disturbing) railway line, great view, very large playground on the lake, thermal baths and downtown within walking distance. We'd love to come back!

It was a great pleasure to stay in Fritz's beautifully decorated and clean apartment. The apartment is located in a 19th century villa and is surrounded by old trees, including a huge plane tree, which is one of the largest trees I have ever seen. Fritz is very friendly, helpful and warm. The apartment is also only about 15 to 20 minutes' walk from the city centre. When we travel to Freiburg again, we will definitely stay at Fritz's again.
