We live in the countryside with lots of greenery and fresh air, free spirit and are open to guests. The bakery with traditional furnishings, wood-burning stove, sleeping loft and timeless comfort is located separately on the property. Next to the residential building (40 m away) is the modern bathhouse for the exclusive use of our guests. In our house, we read a lot, philosophise, drink good wine and take care of the essentials in life, pure reduction! Adventure instead of luxury.

In the Philosophenweg in Kassel, quietly located and yet very central, just a 5-minute walk from the beautiful Karlsaue. The apartment has a large living room with dining area. Three cozy bedrooms. A corner bathtub with rain shower, a fireplace and a small terrace are available for our guests. Well suited for families and nice meetings with friends.

Ideal for professionals, students and small families. The 2-room apartment is centrally located with excellent access to the A7, A44 and A49. In just 15 minutes by car you can reach the World Heritage Site Hercules and the Schlosspark Wilhelmshöhe. Wilhelmshöhe train station is only 20 minutes away. Directly across the street is a gas station and bus stop. A village baker and a grocery store are also very close. Long stays are possible by arrangement.

A day trip to the Unesco World Heritage Site Wilhelmshöhe Mountain Park including Hercules is worthwhile. Great hiking trails (e.g. Habichtswaldsteig). Rewe, Aldi, pharmacy and ATM in the village. Swimming pool and cinema 10 minutes away by car.

Due to the size, layout and amenities, we only offer this apartment to 1-2 people! On request, if necessary, max. 4 people! But there is no closed bedroom! The apartment is 45 square meters, it has its own entrance with its own terrace and a private sauna. Parking is sufficiently available and free of charge in front of the house on the public street. Bicycles can be parked safely and covered in the garden.

Family Waldkauz's guest house in the middle of the forest

Our accommodation is located in the middle of Germany, close to Kassel and surrounded by nature. You will love it because of the heavenly tranquility, the gateway to the forest and yet only 20 km away from Kassel by car or tram. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups. Unless they are uncontrollable fighting dogs, animals are welcome to us and regularly feel very comfortable.

The village is beautifully situated at 360 meters above sea level, right on the edge of the vast Habichtswald. Ideal for walking and tranquility.   The house is very luxurious: three saunas, two bathrooms, pool table and much more! There’s lots to do in the area. Especially around the Nationalpark Kellerwald-Edersee.
