We loved staying at Kathy’s place. It was a wonderful oasis, with a beautiful and relaxing pool area. We ran into Kathy’s brother Jim multiple times while outside and got great recommendations for things to do in the area (Get Up and Go kayaking at Shell Key Preserve!!) and also asked to make sure our stay was top notch. They had nice chairs, umbrellas, and a few tents that can be used for your beach trips (we used the chairs and umbrella, which are essential). Bonus points for being super walkable to the beach *and* all the restaurants/bars in the area.

This place is a gem if you appreciate the classic motel vibes and throwback to a more laid back era. All of the employees we interacted it with were friendly, funny, and helpful. There were a few times some other guests were bending rules and their responses really strike a great balance between addressing the violation without making anyone feel uncomfortable or defensive. The location was unbeatable - a direct walk out to the beach. The Happy Hour beer was no craft brew but honestly perfect for the beach, and ice cold to boot. Shuffleboard and corn hole added to the charm. Free parking right by our room made things easy. We also really appreciated the green efforts - real coffee mugs to grab some coffee and fixed shampoo/conditioner dispensers to avoid small bottle waste. If you’re a light sleeper note that ceilings aren’t super well insulated so we heard a lot of happy little feet running above us. For us, it was part of the charm, but it might not float everyone’s boat

Great place would recommend every time. The weather was bad for us but they provide all that is needed for a great time at siesta. Would definitely come back

Kathy and the Gulfside resort was a 10/10 for us!!! She greeted us and made us feel very welcome from the check in! Everything in our room was perfect! We absolutely loved how she had her own recommendations on what to do around St. Pete’s Beach! Our poolside room was amazing! Probably about a 3 minute walk from the beach which we absolutely loved! Definitely will be returning!

Loved the stay! It was convenient to the beach, great parking, place offers beach chairs and an umbrella with cart to pull it to the beach which is super convenient. Free parking which is amazing as well.

The unit was very clean and the host was responsive and allowed an early check-in. Unit was right on the beach and convenient to come and go to the beach as you pleased. There were a few beach items in the unit for you to use. We did purchase a few things and left them for the next guests.

Great location. 2 walkable blocks from the beach and 3 walkable blocks to the circle. Very clean and cozy room. Just like a hotel room. Beach chairs and sand toys were provided complimentary to use. One thing to note, there is no grocery store or pharmacy like a Walgreens on the island. Wish we would have known this ahead of time to plan better. You need to get it before you get to the island. Great trip, would stay there again :)

The resort is beautiful and located very close to the beach and area restaurants. It felt very private. We enjoyed the patio each morning and evening. The room was well equipped. Would definitely stay again.

I really enjoyed staying here. It was a perfect walking distance to the beach and a lot of great beach bars and restaurants. It was clean and was spot on with the description and pictures provided. The surrounding area was safe and I felt comfortable walking places alone. The bathroom and kitchen were super clean as well.

Such a great location, perfect for what we were looking for our my husband and i’s solo anniversary trip! Small room, but we weren’t intending to be in there often. The grounds were gorgeous pool was great, Super clean and the back of the hotel with seating plus the dock was amazing. Such a short walk to the beach as well. The fact that there were plenty of beach chairs (and even umbrellas!) was so awesome. We flew in to the area so there was no way we could have brought our own. Craig gave great recs for places to go and informed us about a free beach ride! (Just tipped-which Craig let us know about too!) also there was a desk that was manned by Leilani who was so lovely and helpful. Overall great experience and will be returning in the future with kids in tow to one of the bigger rooms! As we saw lots of families also staying there. We were happy to be able to support the Roth hotel and areas after the damage they sustained after there last hurricane season.
