Old 'alpendre' (porch) recently transformed for residential use in Santa Lucía de Tirajana. The alpendre was the house of the animals. The most valued and difficult to keep were the cows. There used to be two per property. The cows' part is now the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The goats and the donkey were housed in the other rooms that are now the bedrooms, and the current bathroom was the place where the grass was deposited for the rest of the day, as it was usually picked in the morning.

The house is a typical Canarian house with more than 200 years old, which has been restored in recent years and lovingly decorated, giving it a youthful and modern look. It maintains the original structure of the time, when the houses had rooms overlooking a courtyard. With the aim of maintaining its historical value,in each of them we have enabled the bathroom, bedroom and kitchen living room. All surrounded by an open-air patio, with hammock and lounging area.

The chicken coop used to be here. But there's almost nothing left to see of it. The rock walls create a pleasant microclimate and the large windows let in a lot of light and also overlook the slope. The house is on the outskirts of the village of San Bartolomé de Tirajana: "Tunte". Originally it was a house and a barn for animals with the typical construction of the time in the Canarian rural areas, with thick stone walls. The house, due to its wide walls and open common spaces, is cool in summer and cozy in winter, although it has air conditioning and a wood-burning fireplace.
