BV is an adventurers paradise with miles and miles of river to explore, hiking and biking trails and 4 wheel drive roads to beautiful vistas and ghost towns. It shouldn't be legal to have this much fun!

Come enjoy our private 5 acres of Pinon trees with the convenience of being 5 minutes from town. Enjoy the joys of children on property and views of incredible mountains with the wildlife that frequents our "back yard". Relax in our private guest area locked off from the rest of our home including a kitchenette and laundry area, all separated from the rest of the house by a custom built and locking doorway. Warm, cozy, southwestern ranch style home 100 feet from the South Arkansas river. We built it in 2014 and it’s on 20-acres with a private drive, 900' of riverfront with a trail, superb privacy with great views; its only 3.5-miles from downtown Salida and 18-miles from Monarch. We have a big garden, and goose, chickens, ducks, and guinea fowl (fresh eggs!), and we're frequented by visits from deer, great-horned owls, red-tailed hawks, and sometimes wild turkeys and elk.

My place is about 15 to 20 minutes to restaurants and family-friendly activities in Salida. We are about 30 minutes to Mount Princeton Hot Springs and 30 minutes to Monarch Ski Resort. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). We also have a propane grill for you to use.
