Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Saint-Martin-d'Ardèche

Due to personal circumstances we had to rearrange this holiday 2 times, of which Remy was very understanding. We booked the villa based on how well the photos looked but were really not ready for just how much better the place was in reality! Le Magnanerie is tucked quietly away in a totally idyllic spot in a gorgeous old French hamlet, boasting the most impressive westerly views across the private pool of the Cévennes, with stunning sunsets. The covered outside area is spacious and perfect to escape the direct summer sun, and the thick stone building is naturally cool. Comfortably set over 3 pretty floors with portable air conditioning in the loft bedroom area. Kids bunk beds are perfectly placed and even though everything is wooden, nothing creaks. Local agent Deborah was very helpful and after driving from the UK, we were pleasantly surprised to have had our best family holiday to date here! We rarely return to holiday destinations, however we will certainly be coming back. Merci

Everything was perfect! David and Eny are very warm, just like their house, super good energy you feel good there! I loved the decor, very tasteful and I had a great week, total change of scenery… My dog was also happy to have space with walks around without necessarily taking the car. Thanks again

Great house for a family vacation! The house has all facilities you need and is located conveniently close to Suze-La-Rousse (small village with some nice shops and restaurant).

What a fantastic week we had with 14 adults! We were there with our family and the house really offered all the space to enjoy together and to occasionally retreat. It is spacious, stylish and super comfortable, with nice bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms and cozy corners to sit together. The outdoor kitchen was our favourite place: cooking, eating and drinking in the evening sun. The area is beautiful. We went canoeing, visited vineyards and caves, but to be honest, the pool was so nice that we often just stayed at home. And with a table tennis table and boules court, you really don't have to be bored for a moment. Eric and Yasmina are incredibly friendly and welcoming and are always ready to help. Francois, the owner, is warm and makes you feel welcome right away. Everything was right about this place. We would definitely come back again!

We just spent 15 days and the good weather was at the rendezvous, for those looking for calm and tranquility is the ideal place! Christine and Philippe are welcoming, warm, available and concerned for the well-being of their guests. They were good tips for sites to visit, both in the Gard and in the Ardèche which is barely 10 km away Many places to visit including the Pont du Gard, the Pont d 'Arc and the Ardèche gorges by canoe, the Aven Orgnac cave, the Sautadet waterfalls, the Nîmes bullring....) The house is well equipped and local shops are in Barjac 3km away We had a great time!

We truly enjoyed our stay, a perfect location to unwind and immerse yourself in nature. It was a nice surprise to find so many animals: a horse, super cute dogs and a cat. The garden is beautiful, you can walk around, go down to the river, enjoy quietness and pure nature all around. The road to the location is also very nice - like a hidden path through nature. It’s definitely a place to come back to, with an amazing energy. Even two nights restore you fully and feels like you stayed much longer than this. Not to mention a stylish and tastefully decorated house. You can find all you need. Amazing both side terraces - to enjoy a morning sun and a sunset.

C18 mill of great charm, surrounded by lovely garden, all restored and brought to life by Isabelle. Utterly peaceful. Within 10 minutes' drive from unspoilt village with excellent food shopping to provide for delicious meals in the garden, serenaded by nightingale and turtle dove. Bats and tuneful frogs in the evenings. Beautiful walks from the door along dusty lanes with verges full of wild flowers. Avignon, Orange, Glanum, Nimes, Camargue all within driveable distance. Isabelle could not have been more friendly and welcoming and we hope to visit again one day.

Excellent stay, in a beautiful quiet house, with a very beautiful garden to rest in. Very pleasant house to live in, located in a beautiful environment, close to very beautiful villages to visit, a river where you can swim and where you can do plenty of hiking. Finally, we were very well received by Valérie, who is very kind.

Wonderful holiday in this quiet and very beautiful accommodation! The grounds, the pool and the building are very well maintained, you feel right at home. The furnishings are impeccable and really leave nothing to be desired. Luigi was particularly courteous and always responded immediately to questions and helped! We will be happy to come back!

Very beautiful, architecturally well-designed house that successfully combines old and new and perfectly keeps the Mistral away with its porch. Even in strong winds, it is always possible to stay on the terrace and enjoy the beautiful view over the garden and vineyards. You also have a magnificent view through the rear floor-to-ceiling windows towards Cairanne! The bathrooms and kitchen furnishings are modern and comfortable. Everything was very clean and maintained. The pool is pleasantly warm and, due to its exceptional size, really suitable for swimming. Apart from the occasional tractor passing by, there is a heavenly calm most of the time. We had a wonderful stay. Many thanks to Madame Cid for the friendly welcome and support!

The townhouse offered by Xavier is extraordinary, it is a place full of history and perfectly renovated by the owner! We came with friends to meet up, we had a wonderful stay! I recommend this house without hesitation!

This house is a real dream. The facility is designed with great attention to detail – especially the wooden beams, natural stone walls and the stylish straw lights immediately create a holiday feeling. Outside is just as beautiful as inside: the garden is well maintained, the pool is perfect for cooling off. The location is quiet, but not secluded – you can quickly reach the next town, but you have absolute privacy. The house is well equipped and was super clean. Everything was just like in the pictures - if not better. I would come back anytime. Unrestricted recommendation!

Couldn’t have asked for a better house - ticked all the boxes and was conveniently close to Avignon without being in town. The house was spotless with all amenities thought about. Pool, loungers, outside dining was brilliant. Will definitely be back.

Alison and Costas are a dream team. Excellent hosts with a beautiful chateau for you to enjoy. Aline is great too. You’ll have a wonderful and relaxing stay. Great food and activity recommendations in the booklet. Be sure to visit all the markets you can, and try and eat at Le Flores- which was the perfect lazy lunch venue.

This place is a hidden gem for anyone looking to spend some time truly in nature.. the sound of birds in the morning and the sunsets are beautiful. A car is required as the place is hidden away but it’s definitely worth the extra mile for the experience. Florian has put together a lot of local recommendations and the morning fresh bread available on some days is a must! All in all we had a great time and recharged our batteries!

A perfect little house to escape to! Ideally located in the Cevennes, super quiet, decorated with great taste and well equipped. With extra pool and beautiful pétanque track... And hosts available, responsive and very friendly!

Excellent two week stay in Olivier’s lovely apartment. Beautifully renovated to give a great mix of modern and character. The stone walls are beautiful. Overall very spacious - two large bedrooms and two lovely bathrooms. Kitchen dining area enormous. Jacuzzi and roof terrace a bonus. There are lots of stairs as noted but very manageable. There is great safe and accessible bike storage and riding from the front door fabulous. Oliver was very responsive both before and after booking and check in. On request supplied us with a filter coffee machine. Barjac is a charming village close to the Ardeche and Cèze rivers for all manner of outdoor activities. Overall a fabulous stay, well recommended. We had a wonderful short stay here. We were greeted by Mauricette upon arrival and she was very flexible with our arrival time after a long drive from Lyon. We were given some lovely recommendations too. We found the place spotlessly clean, and the bottle of wine and coffee was a lovely gesture - thank you very much. There is a lovely private terrace on the first floor where we enjoyed breakfasts (bought locally), and peaceful evenings with a bottle of local wine. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was very much appreciated after days on the river/beach, and we fell in love with St Martin d'Ardeche. Thanks for a great stay, I'm sure we'll be back.

It was a real pleasure to stay in Alexandre's house: the rooms are spacious and pleasant, the outside perfectly maintained and Alexandre's welcome perfect, knowing that he was able to be very flexible with the arrival time.
