Martine welcomed us very warmly despite our late arrival, having been delayed on the road. The apartment with separate entrance is spacious and great for 2 people, and beautifully landscaped. We only stayed one night as in transit, but we would have stayed a little longer. Perfect stay, clean rooms! we highly recommend !!

We spent an amazing time. The cabin is incredibly cosy and the nature is absolutely peaceful. Willy was there to welcome us -as Gil was away at the time- and everything ran very smoothly. We would definitely go back there again.

Go there with confidence! This cottage is a pearl, a cozy little love nest. It is perfectly decorated, practical and functional. It feels good and at home right away! Nothing to say: the fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with large bath under the stars, a big cat very cuddly to keep you company, nature, calm ... 3 days there and you come back and recharge for some time!

We stayed in this lovely house for New Year's and it was the best decision! Gil and Marleen were away, but had organised for their friend Willy to let us in and be the contact. When we arrived the house was already heated and the lights on. We immediately felt at home as the interior is really lovely with many little bits and pieces from across the globe to look at. We enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, and walking in the quiet countryside nearby. A lovely feature is the skylight in the bedroom from where you can watch the stars at night. It is a lovely cottage in a beautiful place. You will be very well received and everything is explained well. In the woods you can make beautiful walks and is just 30 minutes from Antwerp. The place to escape and unwind in nature.

We really had nice time staying here. The house is located in very beautiful area with a lot of green trees and colorful flowers. Inside the house, everything is very clean, comfortable and good decorated. Nicole is a very friendly and nice owner. The appartement was on the first floor of a nice villa in a very quiet and green neighborhood on walking distance of shops, restaurants, pubs and.. one of Belgians best bakeries. The appartement was very nicely decorated with a modern kitchen, equipped with just every little detail one could think of. The rooms were very clean and everything was new and in a perfect condition. We appreciated the most discreet presence of Nicole , a cosmopolitan lady, who lives in her private rooms downstairs. Although we were just in Belgium to visit some relatives, we had a very relaxing stay in Schilde and came home with a holiday feeling.

We had such a great stay at Nicole's place. We will definitely book again. Great quality (the kitchen and bathroom are perfect! And a great bed to sleep in, and Nicole a very good host. We can't wait to come back again. Very good value and highly recommended.

Tom was available on my arrival to bring me through the facilities and explain the use of the power and water on the boat. This was very clear and easy to use. The location on the canal was very quiet and with nature all around. People cycling along the tow path and other barges and boats travelling along the water. Entering the accommodation via the wheel house gives a feeling of being part of the history of the barge and a connection to the working barges of today. The photos represent what is on the boat. the accommodation is separate for the rest of the barge and you feel you are on a working barge. The additional cabin with the bunk beds is a wonderful find. The large TV with multiple channels is an unexpected addition but useful at night. All you need for cooking including fridge freezer and microwave with a washing machine. All power is supplied from the solar cells so environmentally friendly as well. The shower provided excellent hot water and all facilities available. The beds are comfortable and the passing boats provide for the gentle rocking to help sleeping. Sitting outside watching the world go by is very relaxing and an excellent way to enjoy the evening. Tom and his family were always available to answer questions or deal issues. They obvious love living in this environment and I know why. I am Looking forward to the chance to return and spend more time there in the future.

We had a wonderful week in Oljana's house. It is very spacious with a nice pool (which we unfortunately did not have much use because of the weather). There is a large sitting room from where you are on the large terrace (with awning!) Comes, where guests are seated, facing the beautiful garden full of flowers. The neighborhood is very quiet with beautiful houses. 500m away there is a cute restaurant where you can eat good steak. Antwerp is a half hour drive. In short: a great week in Schilde. Our family, my parents and our three children had our first stay with Airbnb in this lovely villa in Schilde. The place is spacious and provides everything you need including wifi, very well equipped kitchen, nice terrace and grill for bbq, and swimming pool. All our children loved the house with lots of toys and the garden where to play. The house was also safe for a one-year-old to crawl around. A car is need when staying here, since the nearest bus stop was 2,4 kilometres away. The arriving and departure procedure was really flexible. Due to the fact that we were new to staying in people’s houses, we might have needed a personal introduction into the house. Anyway there was a welcoming letter and booklet of information in the house and we managed to sort everything out. I can recommend this beautiful villa to everyone planning to explore Belgium by car, and especially to families with children!

Avec les deux poules au fond du grand jardin et les chevaux de l'autre côté de la rue, nous avions parfois du mal à convaincre les enfants de faire des excursions . Nous y sommes tout de même parvenus tous les jours et avons passé une excellente semaine. Anvers et ses nombreux centres d'intérêt ainsi que le parc naturel Kalmthoutse Heide nous ont beaucoup plu. We were warmly welcomed. The room is very well equipped and welcoming, like a hotel room. In addition to the rooms are ready and hot and cold drinks. The hosts are very friendly, open and inviting. Our stay at Jef's chalet was amazing! If you're looking for a peaceful place far from the stress of the city to spend a relaxing weekend with your friends or family, this is definitely the place to go! Jef is very kind, welcoming and available. His place is simple and cosy, very convenient for 4/5 people. The environment is magical, surrounded by trees, you won't be disappointed. The sauna is such a plus.

It's on the countryside of Antwerp so you'll always need a means of transportation (nearest bus stop is about 15 minutes walking) but it is totally worth it. 5/5. Isabelle is a lovely host and made us feel very welcome in her beautiful house. The bedroom and bathroom are first class, the garden is an oasis of piece and quiet.

The location of the house was ideal to visit Antwerp for example. You can also good cycling in the immediate vicinity of Schilde. Some points we had were Valerie and her friend quickly and properly resolved.
