There is a DAB radio for some relaxing background tunes! We provide a kettle, with tea, coffee, sugar and fruit tea's. Also a small fridge with fresh milk and enough space to chill your own food. A picnic hamper contains plates and cutlery. There is also a lovely bistro table and chairs inside. • Beautiful wee shepherd's hut, great hosts and an amazing breakfast. The place is spotlessly clean, has everything you need for a short break, loved having the BBQ. Would definitely recommend and I would like to return again some time.

  • I booked this little stay as a present for my husband's birthday and it didn't disappoint! We had such a relaxing time away. Mark and Suzanne's little touches were great, they have really thought of everything. The breakfast hamper delivered in the morning was a lovely treat for 2 working parents. We've already booked for Easter but will be bringing our toddler. Great stay!

  • A great stay in the heart of Yorkshire! If you want to spend a night lost in the middle of Yorkshire’s countryside this is the right place! Mark built the cabins by himself and they look lovely, cosy and warm. Breakfast is delicious and I am sure you will have a great time if you decide to visit. The cabins are sparkling clean and furnished with everything needed for a short stay. See you soon Mark!

  • We first stayed here in 2017 and we loved our stay. Our kids remembered coming here and wanted to stay again. We’ve just returned from a wonderful nights stay. It’s a fab space with an amazing view that is so peaceful. The area is perfect for exploring but far enough away for some peace and quiet!

    Carly2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely.

    Eleanor2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lorretta & Philip are excellent hosts, very friendly & accommodating. The views are stunning, definitely somewhere to visit

    James2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Peaceful stay with amazing views to wake to . In the morning you just hear the birds and the sheep! Only 5 min walk to 2 pubs . Very nice host nothing too much trouble . We would recommend

    Jeanette2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic use of space in a superb location. Our hosts were so welcoming to the family and, although we only stayed for one night, we know the children will remember it far more vividly than a faceless corporate hotel. Would recommend the cow shed to anyone looking for a unique stay.

    Jason2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very cozy ´cow shed in a quiet place. It has a nice terrace where you can sit, staring at the sheep and beautiful view while listening to old time music cassettes. We loved it.

    Marleen2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • We can totally recommend staying at The Cow Shed. The owners have built and maintained the space themselves and you can tell it is a real labour of love. The views from the decking area of the rolling fields are spectacular. It is the perfect place to relax and get away from the pressures of modern life and get "off the grid". There are some lovely touches such as the saddle bar stools and the mannequins. There are some great CDs available to play and also cassette tapes if you feel particularly nostalgic. We had never stayed at a place with cummunual showers before, but this wasn't an issue as the facilities are clean, spacious and warm. We will definitely go back. The hosts are welcoming and friendly. Also, Scalby village has a number of great amenities which are a short walk away.

18th century cottage in Scarborough. Centrally located, being less than a mile from Scarborough Railway Station and town centre. Beautifully appointed to a very high standard, with quality fittings and furnishings. During these uncertain times we are taking extra precautions to block a day at either side of all bookings. This will allow us time to deep clean and keep us all that bit safer!
Lounge/dining area, which includes 40" T.V, with built-in DVD player. Amazon Echo music system. Fully equipped kitchen, incorporating small fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and microwave. Full bathroom, with bath having shower and T.V, adding a little bit of luxury! Bedroom, with double bed, triple wardrobe and wall-mounted T.V. The bedroom is open-plan, so the cottage is ideally suited to a couple. This charming cottage has the great advantage of having a small raised garden, which is perfect for enjoying outside eating and drinking, and it catches the sun all day, ( if it is out of course!) The fabulous log burner is the centre-piece of this home, making it a wonderful, warm and cosy place for a short break away!
Shrove Cottage is on the edge of Falsgrave, which is approximately half a mile from Scarborough Railway Station. There is a news agent/convenience store just a few yards away and there are many more shops close by; including a butchers, bakery, green grocer and pharmacy. There is also a Sainsbury Superstore/Petrol Station in Falsgrave. There are some great traditional pubs, which often host local bands, serving real ales and tasty food. The cottage is located on an A road, which can get busy.
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Shrove Cottage! Judith was able to have the cottage ready for us an hour early which was really handy! The cottage is perfect for 2 people, cosy and comfortable. Milk, orange juice, and bread was left for us which was very nice! The cottage was only a 20/25 minute walk to the beach which was a nice easy walk and we had no problems parking outside the property. Would definitely recommend this place and will probably come back in the future!

    Heather2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Booked Judith’s cottage as a trip away for my parents. They both loved it. The cottage was beautiful and spotlessly clean and in a great location (walking distance to Scarborough front). Would love to book again for myself

  • Thank you so much for letting us stay in your fantastic little cottage. Was the perfect home from home to sight see a beautiful part of the country ❤️

    Jamie2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy cottage with everything you need, in a great location.

    Karen2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures do not do Shrove cottage justice! This place was the perfect little getaway cottage. The hosts have done so well at making the most of the space and have decorated the cottage beautifully. I will definitely be back as soon as I can!

    Amy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first time booking through Air bnb and I think this will be the yardstick we measure all future bookings with. From the start, Judiths communication was excellent as was the property information we were given in advance. On arrival to this stunning cottage, we were met with such thoughtful little touches such as bread and milk, robes to wear, candles for the outdoor area and many more that it instantly felt like a wonderful and cosy place to be. It’s the perfect size for a couple, has everything you need and is located in a nice area that’s not too near the bustle of the sea front. I fell in love with it instantly and we would love to return one day. It’s cosy, clean and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Thank you Judith for making our stay so memorable.

    Gillian2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great cosy unit with everything provided to have the most relaxing stay.Judith has provided for all your wants and needs and some really exciting technological extras that makes you feel super pampered. Wanted to stay much longer!

  • Fantastic place in stunning location. Will definitely be back!

    Luke2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation is tastefully designer and provides a beautiful backdrop to a peaceful stay. The thoughtful touches left by Mark and Suzanne really enhanced the amazing stay. Breakfast was truly wonderful and had something to suit everyone!! I can’t recommend this place highly enough!!

    Steph2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful shepherd hut in a lovely setting. So cosy and warm, even on a cold winter’s evening. Everything you could want and need for a relaxing break including breakfast delivered to your door in the morning!

    Helen2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous little hideaway. Perfect setting and superbly comfortable.

    Helen2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • You can expect a ‘true’ countryside experience in this place. We really had a good time enjoying the stunningly beautiful scenery around the accommodation (field and the farm). A place is a bit far remote so be mentally prepared to drive up the hill but not really too challenging in my opinion. Should be there before dark as roads could be tricky. Also ensure you take care your dinner before getting there - just an advice!

    Jarkkrit2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay and amazing hosts, the setting was beautiful. My little boy is nearly two and he loved the stay on the farm and breakfast was great. X

    Jodie2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for a super stay! It was cute and cosy despite the rainy weather. Serenity made our weekend 😊

    Emily2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent short stay to start off the year. Lovely cozy space, very well decorated. Brilliant location - very handy for access to the forest. All the amenities you could need for a short stay. Lovely finishing touches, especially the continental breakfast delivered to the door in the morning. Would definitely stay again.

My place is close to the both North and South bays, Peasholme Park, beach, playgrounds, the castle. Wonderfully located on a quiet residential street. The property is the ground floor flat in a Victorian Townhouse. You’ll love my place because of the location and the ambiance. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families with smaller kids, and furry friends (pets). CANNOT SLEEP 4 ADULTS, only 2 Adults and 2 Children / Teenagers. Small pets welcome - just not the sofa
Lovely flat by the seaside with private garage. Sleeps 2 Adults + 2 Children. Please ensure to specifiy if more than 2 people will be staying. By default we only leave bedding out for the double bed, when additional people are staying we leave out additional bedding **very important**. Private Garage (quite narrow, however I could just fit my old people mover in it). This flat is ideally suited for a couple, however the sofa in the sitting room can be folded out to provide 2 additional single beds suitable for children. Situated in an enviable position on the north bay cliff top area of Scarborough, short stroll will bring you to numerous shops, pubs and really good restaurants. A 10 minute walk will take you into the heart of Scarborough where you can enjoy a taste of a true British holiday beside the sea, complete with Blue Flag awarded swimming beach, well maintained amusement arcades, traditional gift shops and harbourside stalls selling locally made rock candy and fresh shellfish. Scarborough's harbour area and piers are where to head, for fishing trips and boat trips and to view the famous 1930s lighthouse. There are numerous activities in Scarborough for all ages including swimming, golfing, fishing, indoor go-karting, bowling and cinemas and lots more. Travelling slightly further, you can appreciate the beautiful North York Moor National Park, and Dalby Forest is a great place to visit for mountain bike enthusiasts, with some excellent pathways and cycle tracks and the famous Go Ape assault course that the kids will love. Ground floor flat in Victorian townhouse. Recently renovated and decorated in a simple but stylish manner. The property consists of Master bedroom, Sitting Room and Kitchen / Diner & two small bathrooms with a Shower and toilet in each. The kitchen & diner is outfitted with a 2 burner electric hob, a combined Microwave convection oven, integrated fridge freeze, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, and a kitchen table large enough for 4 people. The sitting room contains an L shaped sofa which seats 3 people (and also folds out into two single beds suitable for children), an arm chair, a wall mounted TV and a DVD player. Quality linen and towels are provided with the rental as well as small basics such as handsoap, and dishwasher tablets. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Highchair and travel cot are also provided. Everything you need for a romantic escape for 2 people, or a budget holiday for a young family. The windows are on street level with Venetian blinds and curtains provided for privacy. The back faces an internal sheltered courtyard planted with ferns and evergreens.
This is a quiet street located above the north bay. When you walk out the front door you are a thirty second walk to the top of the cliff and its beautiful view over north bay and the castle. There are benches on the cliff where you can relax and admire the view - the sun sets over land, but the colours of the sky over the sea are often spectacular here. I am a big fan of sitting on a cliff top bench, watching the sun set as I eat fish and chips (from North Bay Fisheries by Peasholm Park). North bay has at least 4 renown cafes. The most popular is the Watermark serving organic, locally farmed produce, and fabulous breakfasts all year round. Just across from the Watermark you can find, wetsuit, kayak and surfboard hire, as well as surfing lessons. The same parade of shops also has a Nisa Local, an ice cream parlour, Doorstep Adventures selling souvenirs, Crocs and wellies, as well as lovely things. If you turn left out of the house you are a short walk from both South Bay beach and the town centre with all the shops and restaurants. At least three of Scarborough's restaurants have been mentioned in the Michelin guide: Jeremy's, The Green Room and Lanterna. All walking distance from the house. You can get to the castle at the top of castle road in less than ten minutes, a walk that takes you past Anne Brontë's grave in St Mary's church yard. Scarborough train station is about 1.25km through the town centre, which is about a 20 minute stroll. Taxis should cost no more than £6.
  • A very comfortable property, with excellent amenities, in a first class location.

    John2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Apartment is in a fantastic location, kitchen had all appliances you need and more. It was nice, warm and cosy even in November. Kasia was very helpful and friendly host. I recommend this place.

  • Lovely apartment, handy to have the garage large enough to fit a ford focus in! Amazing location in the middle of everything in Scarborough, we didn't have to use our car once. Lovely little touches in the apartment, felt very at home. Just door in lounge was hanging off its hinges, didn't bother us but could be a bit of hazard in the future.

COVID-19 CAUTION 1. The annexe is entirely isolated. 2. We block a 24h period inbetween guests for deep-cleaning. Elstree is a self-contained annexe to our house with allocated parking off-road. We welcome pets and kids (although we don’t provide specialist things for infants and teenagers might find it a squash!). It is 10 min leisurely walk to the town centre and beautiful Scarborough South Bay beach, all theatres and seaside essentials. A home from home cosy space for peace, quiet and rest
The Escape is a 1-bed plus en suite shower with a separate living area — sofa, kitchenette, desk and even your own parking space. You can cosy up and hideaway or get to the beach for fresh air and stunning scenery.
The 'Escape' is on a street of big Victorian villas just walking distance from Scarborough town centre. Most of the villas are still family homes -- if you like architecture you're in for a treat! Within a mile circumference you can get to the SJ Theatre, cinema, town centre shops, South Bay beach and promenade and the Spa Theatre. You can also walk to Peasholm Park and the Open Air Theatre but it is a little further. There is a parade of shops for the basics just around the corner (but we will always make sure you have milk and teabags to arrive to!). There are also lots of nearby cafes and restaurants within a short walk so getting around is very easy.
  • Emma’s place is wonderful! 10/15 minute walk to the beach, really cosy, clean little place and has everything you need. Lovely little touches and added extras which were a great surprise. Would highly recommend!

  • The guest house was so cute. It was very clean and had cute touches to it like blankets, food, and soaps. It was a perfect amount of space. Emma was also great at communicating!

  • This is a fabulous place as a base for exploring Scarborough. Amazing welcome pack, lovely clean space, all you could need and great communication. Many thanks Emma :))

    Bob2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • We’ve just enjoyed a three night stay at Emma’s place, it was spotlessly clean and within walking distance of the beach and town centre. Thank you for the little treats you left for us they were much appreciated. Hopefully we’ll be back one day.

    Janet2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Emma made sure we had a fantastic break in Scarborough. We were allowed to check in later due to delay with travel and were welcomed with the most glorious welcome basket containing lots of treats and even for my dog. The space is so clean and peaceful and it really is an ‘escape’. Emma is there on hand if you need anything otherwise she leaves you to enjoy your time away and there’s lots to enjoy both inside the Escape and out and about in Scarborough. Lots of options to cook in with microwave and stove. For watching tv there’s full Sky which is a real bonus and the place leaves a lasting, happy impression for both humans and pets alike. Look forward to returning

    Marc2020-03-02T00:00:00Z

  • Emma' s place is beautifully decorated, clean and a short walk away from the beach. My children and I had a wonderful time exploring the town, and even more fun indoors playing the board games Emma has left for guests. Would definitely recommend Emma's place.

  • Me and my boyfriend booked to stay here for the weekend and i am so glad we did. This cosy barn conversion is even nicer than the pictures! We decided to stay in for the weekend as it had everything we needed - the log fire, under floor heating and the bubble bath in the room were definitely my favourite things about the trip, not to mention all of the small but effective touches such as DVDs, games, tea, coffee and a small carton of eggs from the owners. We didn’t want the weekend to end and will definitely be back in the future ! Thanks so much for having us x

  • We stayed for four nights over Christmas in this cosy and stylish barn. Lisa had even gone to the trouble of decorating it for Christmas, so we soon felt at home. It's in a great location for the beaches and walks set in a peaceful & pretty hamlet plus all the locals were so friendly and welcoming, we were sad to leave! We would 100% book again.

    Rebecca2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here with our doggo for a few nights and it was a bit magical. It snowed out first night, log burner, bubble bath and Christmas decorations in such a fabulous little cottage decorated in wonderful decor. Clean and tidy with everything you need. Great walks and pubs around. Got ourselves some fresh eggs from behind the bus stop! Lisa’s communication was great throught.

  • We found that Pear cottage was a charming little one night weekend escape. The hosts were fantastic and very helpful, very quick in responding to any questions we had. Upon arrival we were given a tour of the swimming pool and cottage. (which sadly we couldn’t use as had very limited time) The location of the property is great, close to where we wanted to be. We spent the day at flamingo land which was just a twenty minute drive. We booked in for an evening meal at The Grapes inn. It was a very short walk away from the cottage. My partner and I had the most wonderful meal. (one of the best meals we have ever eaten in a pub!) The following morning check out was easy and simple. We found a charming little village called Thornton le dale is on the doorstep. We visited here for breakfast, all the locals were so friendly and helpful. We then went on to visit Dalby forest, again just a short drive away. Would recommend this highly to anybody who wants a lovely little country break away.

    Kirsty2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my friend went to stay over for a concert, from the moment we checked in and to the moment we checked out it was fantastic. We had our own space to chill out, used the swimming pool and relaxed. Didn't feel like we were having to be extra carful or felt like we were walking on egg shells. Was super relaxed and had an amazing time. Would definitly recomened it to others for a relaxing weekend away. Most of all we got our own space and met our standareds.

Comfy bed and thoughtful touches (kettle in room so you can have a cuppa along with cutlery and glasses for your own food. ) the bathroom is next door and there was ample hot water. Simple accommodation that ticks the boxes.

  • Really good location if visiting Scarborough - far enough out of the town to feel in the north yorkshire countryside but still only a few minutes drive or a decent walk along the coastal path away. Jim is a very good host. He has a few simple house rules, keeps the whole process easy, and is very accomodating.

  • A warm, clean and charming place to stay in a beautiful, quiet but well connected spot! Well placed for walking and cycling or just enjoying amazing views, beaches and seaside towns and villages. Jim is a great host and is happy to share his good knowledge of the local area as well as a local map. I will hopefully return for another stay in the not too distant future.

  • Coastguards Lodge was a warm and comfortable place to stay, ideal for the Cleveland Way and other places to visit north of Scarborough. Jim, the host, was kind, helpful and easy going, which made the stay relaxing. The breakfast was very good: cereals, toast, tea and 'proper' coffee, an excellent way to start the day for the walk my son and I did along the Cleveland Way.

The caravan is showing its age (at a guess it’s maybe 20 years old, and the facilities basic) It’s tucked away behind the garden wall, with lovely views over the fields to the sea and Scarborough. It boasts a shower, working and tested gas heater, cooker, fridge, toaster and kettle. The shower is pretty feeble, but is supplemented by the outdoor shower in the back yard. Now it’s dark earlier, we recommend bringing a torch.
Guests are welcome to use the garden, including the fire pit in the corner, and also the outdoor shower and toilet which are located in the back yard of the main house.
The caravan borders on farmland, with views of Scarborough castle and the sea. There are lovely walks in every direction.
  • Lovely rustic place to spend the weekend it is fairly basic accommodation but we don't mind that a bit of a hidden gem many thanks Francis

    Martin2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely!

    Anna2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • The caravan is in a good spot with great views overlooking the cliffs and sea in the distance. It has everything you need, toilet, kitchen with fridge, gas hob, oven, kettle etc. Just be aware there is no supply of fresh water to it but you have 2 big bottles and a place to refill them so not a problem and I could happily do the pots, clean up, cook dinner, make a cuppa etc There’s everything you need in the kitchen, pots, plates, cutlery, washing up stuff and loo roll. Plenty of storage too. Easily made a cooked breakfast! The dogs loved it, there’s good walks and great views to wake up to in the morning and it’s also nice to be able to explore the grounds. It was a bit muddy though as it had rained none stop. Just a tip, if you arrive at night like I did, it’s dark so bring a torch as you can’t park near this caravan like you can with the others and you have to walk through the grounds to get to it so just something to be aware of if arriving at night (and in my case it was also raining!) Loved the stay, very peaceful, quiet, good views with everything you need at a bargain price!

    Steven2019-10-29T00:00:00Z

Kate and her father were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and you can tell Kate has put a lot of effort into the space. Would highly recommend and would stay again!

  • This is a special find on air bnb. A truly quaint, cosy and lovingly restored tack house. Kate has done an amazing job on the interior, using all reclaimed fittings and decor. My puppy, Ziggy and I loved our 3 day stay here. Kate's Dad was there to meet us and we had a few good chats during our stay. A lovely chap. The tack house is part of a working farm and it was a joy seeing the horses, doggies and sheep each day. If you want a special place to stay, look no further. The prosecco, bread and eggs were a lovely touch, too. Thanks Kate to you and your Dad.

    Denise2019-10-29T00:00:00Z

  • I would definitely stay here again when I’m next in Scarborough. The bed was the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept on, the bath was incredibly relaxing, and the check-in information and communication was great!

Suffield cottage is in a small hamlet 2 miles from the nearest pub and supermarket and 5 miles form Scarborough. It is a semi detached cottage with lovely views. As a guest you will have your own sitting room and bedroom. The bathroom will be shared with one other person and you will be able to eat your breakfast at the dinning room table. Breakfast will not be cooked, cereals etc will be left out for you.
  • Thank you Frances for providing very comfortable place for us. We had a great time for our holidays. It is nice, clean and spacious. I will recommend it and here is very great choice to live.

  • A gem of a find - super quiet location, very comfortable house, excellent value for money and we’d highly recommend it.

    Iain2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Frances has a delightful room available in a quaint semi-detached country cottage. For us, as we only had a single night en-route down from Edinburgh; it was a delightful. Easily found via her extra directions; of extra delight was an evening in the lounge with a small open fire-place going. Glass of wine/beer while we ate our evening meal [all brought with us, it's not included! That would make it even more amazing value!]. A good nights sleep upstairs in a clean, fresh room with a comfortable bed; followed by a self-serve breakfast eaten overlooking rolling fields. We had to self-checkin; and also left early so did not have the pleasure of actually meeting Frances; but all communication was professional, friendly and helpful. I recommend her place to any couple looking for great value in the area. Of course, being slightly remote; you will need transport....

    David2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • France's house was great for our needs. Lovely quiet location but only a few miles from Scarborough. We utilised the sitting room and breakfast facilities. Check in was very flexible and we hope to stay again at some future time.

    Simon2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Nothing you could say that was negative about this lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. Great value, the bed was really comfortable and the place was really clean. Frances was very helpful and kind. Highly recommended.

  • Clean room, great bathroom and shower, good communication from host and easy check in experience. Amazing value. Would recommend and would stay again if in the area.

  • Ideal location 10mins drive from Scarborough. Fantastic value for money, extremely comfy bed and spacious surroundings with lovely countryside views. Frances is very welcoming and laid back. Light breakfast left for us to help ourselves to in the morning was a generous extra touch.

Large, double room in shared home in the beautiful seaside resort of Scarborough. Kitchen and bathroom shared with two other clean quiet and considerate guests.
Scarborough is a lovely seaside town, with many local attraction. Whitby, Bridlington, Malton and Pickering are all a short drive away, or can be easily accessed by public transport (or by bicycle for the fitter, adventurous types!)
  • Wendy helped me settle in and then left me to my own devices which is just what I wanted. However, when something came up she was just a phone call away and it was dealt with efficiently.

    Andrew2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Large and comfortable room in a very clean and homely townhouse. Well stocked kitchen, good amenties. Wendy is an excellent host, always quick to respond to queries and flexible about check-in and check-out times. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

En suite room with private entrance and patio area, located in a quiet neighbourhood in central Scarborough. Walking distance from the beach and town centre amenities. Attached to busy family home, dogs welcome.
Bespoke and unique room in an original Victorian property and with the added bonus of off street parking.
Our street is very quiet in a friendly neighbourhood. There is a main high street just a 2 min walk away with local shops and eateries. We have a 24hr garage at the end of the street and big supermarkets 5 mins away. It’s an ideal location as we are so close to town but not in the thick of it and also really close to the beach!
  • The room was beautiful with lots of thoughtful touches. It was a great space for 2 and easily accessible. Would reccomend

    Anna2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The Jasper Room is fabulous! You have your own, very private, entrance and a little space to sit out if the weather is nice. The room itself is so pretty and cosy. We were nice and warm despite the howling gale outside. There is a kettle, fridge, microwave and sink plus cutlery and crockery. Sam also provides a selection of breakfast cereals, tea and coffee which was a lovely surprise. The location is nice and quiet but only a short walk away from all the amenities. Would highly recommend staying here.

This is a unique and large glamping wagon on our little campsite next to Dalby Forest. Made from reclaimed trailer and materials and decorated inside in a very traditional and vintage manor. Kitchen area, dining area and two double beds and its own veranda looking over the spectacular private views. There is a firepit outside and BBQs available, deck chairs and tables all included. Perfect for a family or a couple or even as a group. Please read the additional notes and see you soon.
Safe place to stay, we are very remote :) Our private views are amazing and will leave you perfectly relaxed. There is so much space to explore, you could walk for miles without being disturbed. In a small area divided by a line of trees, just to the left as you look out of the wagons, you'll find a toilet, shower, and washing area. The wagons are heated with gas heaters, resembling vintage wood burners. These are state-of-the-art, current heaters with all necessary safety features which provide the perfect warmth for winter nights. Although the wagons have no mains power, they are lit with gas and oil lamps. Candles are also provided for the perfect romantic touch adding authenticity. There is a gas stove in the kitchen, two double beds with quality mattresses and protectors (guests must provide their own bedding). All crockery and cutlery is provided.
Being on the edge of Dalby Forest, we are the closest campsite to the forest. Great for cyclists, walkers and families alike. Our private views add a touch of tranquillity and our acres of land will provide plenty of exploring.
  • An escape from the world! Totally off grid. Beautiful cosy wagon, outstanding hospitality tray, amazing views, lots of quiet. Great host.

  • A truly magical place. Super clean, fabulous hosts, very relaxing, in the middle of nowhere, so great for star gazing. Quiet and peaceful place. With great feeling of being off grid with candlelight and fresh spring water. Plus the best welcome pack I have ever had.

  • The wagons are very unique and cozy inside, everything is well kept and the surrounding area is beautiful for walks out in the countryside.

    Adam2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The wagon has spectacular views over the valley and is situated in a quiet location with lots of pleasant walks nearby. The interior was very well thought out and the quirky decor brought a lovely homely feel. Bruce was an amazing host and made us feel very welcome. We loved it so much we are already planning a return in summer! Definitely would recommend.

    Rob2019-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Nigel is a great host and his cottage is lovely. Quick replies, cosy cottage, spotlessly clean with lots of towels, and a good location for Scarborough. Scarborough is only a 20 - 30 minute drive. The off road parking at the cottage is very useful. For food or drinks I'd recommend going to the Coachman Inn (10 minute walk) rather than the nearer place. It's in a different world for ambience, comfort and service. The food is stunning and excellent value for the quality and quantity. Also the nearer place no longer does food anyway, despite the sign saying different. We'd love to stay at Nigel's again sometime.

A lovely large cottage set in large gardens local to Malton Pickering and Scarborough the north Yorkshire moors are only six miles away for bicycle rides and the concerts in Dalby Forest. There is plenty of private parking the cottage has an open fire and has also got gas central heating. We are also very dog friendly. This cottage now has its own private hot tub just 12 foot from the cottage.
  • This place is amazing! A real bargain. John was lovely when checking us in. There is a pub a few doors down and all the locals are lovely along with the food. Will defo be coming back! The hot tub was all ready for us and was amazing. Thanks John x

  • My friend and I had a lovely stay here. John was there ready to welcome us with a smile and couldn’t do enough! The hot tub was brill and we really enjoyed our stay.

    Camilla2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • A very relaxed experience, exactly what we expected. Lovely traditional cottage with open coal and log fire. Hot tub was on and hot for when we got there even though we only booked 24 hours before we came. Owners live next door so if there’s anything you need they’re only a minute away. Thanks John :)

    Claire2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • I'm not going to go into minute details. We had a great stay in the cottage between Christmas & New Year. We have no complaints. John (the host) was polite, helpful and made us welcome. The cottage is cosy, warm and comfortable. Everything you need is on hand. TV, WiFi, Radio, Microwave, Central Heating and a coal fire. A toilet and an ensuite bathroom and a fully fitted kitchen. The Cottage is a good size, we never felt cramped. It's situated perfectly for visiting all the sights that Eastern North Yorkshire has to offer. You have to remember what you are getting for your money!!! THIS IS A FULL COTTAGE FOR A FRACTION OF THE PRICE OTHERS ARE CHARGING IN THE AREA!!! We would recommend John's cottage to anyone and everyone and we will definitely book again.

  • A lovely, comfortable flat in a great location with parking. We had a very enjoyable stay with our young son.

  • The apartment is beautifully decorated and furnished. A lovely size with everything you could need. It would be possible to rock up in just the clothes you're wearing (forgot to pack hubby's other pair of trousers!) It was clean and we'll presented. Mandy made us feel really welcome even with a 4 year old and pup in tow. It was the perfect retreat after a day on the beach and in the town. Close to a local Sainsburys and I should imagine within walking distance to town (we had extra little feet so didn't try it). Definitely recommended, we didn't want to come home! Thanks for having us!

    Alison2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Not enough words to say how lovely this flat is. Good quality furnishings throughout, spotlessly clean and a super comfy bed and duvet. The kitchen is full of utensils and the whole flat is delightfully decorated. Superb location too; quiet, yet only 4 minutes to the shops and less to the Esplanade. Warm welcome from the hosts. Thoroughly recommended.

    Ruth2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Just 5mins walk from the Esplanade and spa cliff railway. The photos don’t do the places justice. Thanks for having us.

    Peter2017-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • I originally booked this flat due to it's excellent location. It's only a couple minutes walk to the lift down to the beach. Mandy was always quick to reply when I had a question and on arrival after contacting her, she was with me in 5 minutes. The flat is AMAZING, the photos do not do it justice. I normally don't travel well but this was truly a home from home. It's clear that a lot of time and effort has gone into decorating the flat and making sure people are happy there. It also clearly has a woman's touch about the place. I requested a late chekout from Mandy and she also was kind enough to allow me a few extra hours. 10/10 will definitely come back! My only regret was having to leave after only 2 nights.

    Shabir2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Scarborough, so grand and beautiful. We were sorry we didn’t spend 4 nights, you need to spend at least that, or more to see everything, so much to see! This apartment is in an excellent location, so close to the waterfront with tons of walks, but so quiet. The pics don’t do it justice. Excellent off-road parking. Lovely hosts who have furnished and equipped this gorgeous gem to a high standard. Cosy, roomy, spotless, good wifi, big tv, great kitchen, shower and bathroom, comfy beds and large soft towels. Stop it, we’ll be back!

    Jean2017-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very enjoyable stay at Lynwood Lodge. The flat is clean, tidy and well equipped – a cosy home from home! It is ideally located in a quiet residential area but a few minutes from local amenities and a short walk to the town centre and seafront. The hosts are friendly and helpful and we certainly hope to stay here again if we return to Scarborough. We will also recommend to family and friends. Thank you Mandy and Chris.

    Julie2017-10-16T00:00:00Z

  • This flat is very well appointed and clean and stylish and also very warm. Janice gave us a lovely welcome and said we could contact her at any time if we needed to. The flat is all on the level with just two steps up to the front door. Parking is free - you need parking permits in the day which Janice gives you and we never had any problem finding somewhere to park. It is in the older part of the town with lots of quirky little passages and interesting buildings and lies just behind the seafront. It is very accessible to cafes and shops which lie a few minutes away. We would thoroughly recommend it.

  • Janie was a great host and extremely easy to get a hold of when we needed her! The location is extremely central to Scarborough and right across the road from the beach.

  • A return visit to this lovely apartment in my home town, which really suits us with it's fab location, cleanliness, facilities, and cosiness. Highly recommended, be back soon! 😊

  • The Rise is perfect for a stay in Scarborough. It's so close to the beach, the harbour, cafes, shops and slotties! It's also beautifully clean and well looked-after, and has everything you need for a lovely stay in a beautiful part of the world.

  • Great friendly hosts. Lovely clean, new apartment. Great location for sea front and old town

    Lisa2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely place to stay! Very convenient: 10 minutes walk from the station, 15 from the castle, 5 from the beach. We found a parking spot less than a minute away, and a permit was provided. The high chair was good, and can be folded away easily. We spotted that there were buckets and spades and boardgames too, which is thoughtful. The small flat is very well set up, with space for 4 to sleep, a proper bath and a fully equipped little kitchen. We would certainly come again!

    Saskia2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I would highly recommend The Rise for anyone staying in Scarborough, especially great place for families. We stayed recently with our 2 & 4 year old and they had a great time. The highlight was the bunk beds with their own light.. my 4yr old said the house was better than Flamingo Land! Place was spotless with everything we needed and Janice was a lovely host, great communication and met us when we arrived and helped get us settled. Top find x

    Sally2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Janice’s apartment was a lovely place to stay, conveniently located for the shops and cafes as well as the beach. Very comfortable, well equipped and warm, would stay again.

Hi we have just listed this and hope you like it! Ramsdale Lodge Annex is a self contained spacious studio apartment attached to the main house with its own private entrance. We are conveniently situated just a 10 minute walk to the South Bay beach, and a 10 minute walk into town. We have on street parking available outside the property. Just to point out there are some quite steep steps to the front of the house.
This studio apartment is spacious and comfortable. We have 2 zip link beds which can be kept as 2 singles or joined together to make a Superking bed. There is also a guest bed which can be used perhaps for a child/young teen. There is a fully equipped kitchen area with plenty of utensils should you wish to stay in and cook. A spacious shower room, with towels provided.
The lovely seaside town of Scarborough has many charms to suit all ages. Our property is situated just a 10 minute walk to the South Bay beach, cafes, coffee shops and of course fish and chips! The Spa theatre where there are concerts and shows all year round, and if you enjoy the theatre, Stephen Joseph Theatre hosts plays and shows films too. Taking a wander into town you can look around the shops, and if you fancy eating out Scarborough has some excellent restaurants. Just across the road from us the Cellars Bar is a friendly pub serving lovely food and real ales. The North Bay of Scarborough also has plenty to see, Peasholm Park with its boating lake, Sealife Centre and the Open Air Theatre which has hosted many stars from Tom Jones and Elton John to Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue. Last but not least Scarborough Castle is well worth a visit!
  • A spacious, stylish self-contained annex with huge comfy bed and modern kitchen. Only a few minutes walk to South Bay beach area. Close to local amenities. Overall a fantastic space to stay in when in Scarborough - for work or travel. Louize and Mike offer such genuine and warm hospitality - I felt very spoilt when staying here. Will definitely stay again when I’m next back.

    Callum2020-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • I can really recommend staying here. It's warm and comfortable, very clean, has a lot of character and was in a handy location for town. Parking was easy too. I didn't meet Louize but all communication was quick and easy. I'd definitely use it again.

    Jane2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and super place. Sparkling clean and fantastic communication throughout. I would definitely recommend

    Kate2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We were delighted with our stay. The property is in an excellent location, close to the station, beach and town centre so has plenty of amenities close by. The apartment was warm, clean and had everything we needed for our three day stay, including plenty of things to make self-catering easy. Louize was excellent to deal with, she gave us plenty of space but was on hand if we needed something. We would happily stay here again.

    Timothy2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely flat - so clean and cosy. The kitchen is especially well equipped and the bed is massive and comfortable. Can't wait to stay again!

    Rebecca2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The host was so helpful and very accommodating and made the space feel so homely.

    Jenna2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Ideally placed for walking into town and the seafront. Host goes over and above to provide excellent accommodation and facilities, very comfortable and warm and nothing too much trouble.

    Nicola2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Louise's place is amazing, it's a lovely self contained apartment with excellent kitchen facilities, a great bathroom, and the living area is fantastic...ample parking close by on the street and a parking disc is supplied. Nice little touches such as tea, coffee, milk and some biscuits left as a lift welcome too. Louize and Mike are on hand should you need anything...other than that, they respect your privacy and you wont see them.

Ryndle House is a 1950's 3 bed semi. Situated in Scarboroughs North Bay it is within walking distance of all Scarborough has to offer. The house was fully refurbished and its first season was 2019. Ryndle house is perfect for couples or families who like to have a home from home experience when holidaying in the UK. It is only a short walk to the local shops, Peasholm park, Alparmare water park, Open air Theatre, Bars, Restaurants and the beach.
New for 2020. Ryndle house can now be booked for smaller groups. The house has 3 bedrooms. Two double rooms (one with sea views) and a large room with two single beds. When booking for upto 2 people one room is available to you. When booking for upto 4 people two rooms are available to you. When booking for upto 6 people all three rooms are available to you. When booking let me know which rooms you would like. To be clear, you will not be sharing the house with anyone else. The front reception room has a 2 seat leather sofa and a 2/3 seat cuddler sofa. The large internet connected tv on the wall makes this a great room for relaxing. We decided that using the front room would get used more as a second lounge than as a dining room. To be clear there is no dining room or dining table. Lap trays are provided to put your plates on. The rear reception room has two leather sofas ( 2 and 3 seats). This room has a large internet connected tv on the wall. It also has a set of patio doors leading to a large decking area at the top of the rear garden. The views from here are brilliant and make this a lovely room to relax in.
The road the house is on is called Ryndle Walk. It is one of those lovely 50's tree lined streets. It not a main road so traffic is light. You can park your car on the road or the drive. You can only get out of your car on one side though so letting the passengers out first might be a good idea.
  • Excellent house , a must if wanting to stay in Scarborough :-)

    Becky2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house, in a great area. Had a lovely stay 👍🏻

    Ella2019-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a short break with our three young children 3-6 yrs. The house is on a peaceful residential road with plenty of free parking. North bay attractions, peasholm park and the alpamare leisure pool complex are all within a short walk away. The facilities in the house were excellent, a real home from home. Check in was very easy and Duane answered any questions instantly. Could not ask for any more. Highly recommend this property for visits to scarborough.

    Anthony2019-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • A really well placed property with a fantastic view from the garden. The house is clean and well maintained, with two good-sized living spaces and a nice kitchen downstairs, and comfortable bedrooms and spotless bathroom upstairs. Scaborough north bay and Peasholme Park are within walking distance, and it's about half an hours walk from the train station (but with the benefit that you get to walk through Peasholme Park). There are also a small number of shops about 5 minutes walk northwest. Duane helpfully documents all of that and more in a folder he leaves in the front room downstairs, so that if, like us, you aren't at all familiar with Scarborough you won't be totally lost. We paid in the region of £270 for 6 of us to stay for 2 nights, and we couldn't have asked for a better deal. We were very happy with the property, and with Duane as a host.

We believe our family cottage is pretty unique. A two year conversion from an abandoned cow barn which is about 150 years old. Its decor has a little French influence and is very interesting, full of antiques, curios and memorabilia but has a homely, snug and intimate atmosphere. The kitchen, dining and living area are open plan which creates a warm relaxed feeling for family and friends. One looks out over a beautiful valley which is completely private. No roads or foot fall to disturb you.
Safe place to stay, we are very remote :) Located on the edge of the wonderful Dalby Forest, in fact from the front door one is looking at the forest, its location offers an abundance of activities whilst still being secluded. The cottage looks over a valley which can only be accessed along the cottage driveway. All this space is for guests to explore. Restored without altering the original footprint of the building your space feels welcoming and homely. The decor has a modern feeling with a vintage influence from an eclectic furnishing.
Ten miles, twenty mins from Scarborough and remotely situated but only a mile from Dalby Forest, everyone's tastes are catered for. In Dalby there is an excellent visitors centre, GOape and many mountain bike trails for both the novice and experienced.
  • Just came back from a 2 night stay. Bruce and Lizzy made us feel so welcome in their homely cottage. We were so delighted with our welcoming hamper. The area is perfect to visit the beach or the woods. We will be sure to book again soon and hopefully take advantage of the beautiful garden next time. Thanks again xx

  • If you’re looking at this place then book it. Just returned from a weekend visit with my partner, 3 year old and dog. Had a great tome exploring the nearby forest in the day and then exploring this place on an evening. Such an interesting and well put together place. Bruce and his family left us a lovely little tray of welcome treats, fresh eggs, fresh bread, bacon chocolate...... Would definitely return.

    Brian2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • I really dont know where to start. Everything was 10 out of 10. So much thought, time and effort has gone into everything in this little gem! The welcoming little touches were amazing fresh eggs, fresh Milk, freshly baked loaf and bun/cakes. Spent ages looking at all everything and was so nice to use the old microwave and toaster! Brings back so many memories. We honestly can't wait to go back and expore more. Due to the bad weather we just had a lovekt relaxing time. The log burner was great and kept us lovely and warm. Massive thank you. We will see you again ! Xx

    Samantha2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is simply lovely it is a unique, quirky little place and very cosy. The welcome gifts on arrival was a lovely touch especially the eggs and sour dough. we just loved exploring the cottage and relaxing. The perfect location and dog friendly and we can't wait to return .

    Jenny2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • The prefect place to wind down for a few days! We had a really relaxing weekend here, the barn is lovely and it was great to have the full place to ourselves, we even had the chance to made good use of the kitchen! Bruce and family were great, there was a wonderful plate of goodies when we arrived, all very well thought out and beautifully presented. There’s a lovely walk close by along a wooded forge, well worth a few hours of your day to visit. 100% we will be back! We are looking forward to our next visit!

    Heather2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Loved everything about this place! Was the best! Me and natasha loved everything about it! Thank you for a great stay!

    Nathan2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Bickley Rigg Cottage is a very unique place. I feel so lucky to have seen in the new year in such a special cottage. The location is remote and beautiful, with fabulous views from the garden and windows. I only wish we had been able to stay longer to explore the immediate surrounds properly. When asked to review the best element of my stay air bnb gave the following options: outstanding hospitality, amazing amenities, quick responses, thoughtful touches, stylish space, sparking clean. It was hard to pick the one that stood out as Bruce’s hospitality and warm welcome on arrival was lovely. He was in touch prior to our visit and was always quick to respond to questions. The cottage had a unique style that immediately makes you feel at home and comfortable and it was immaculately clean but the one I chose was ‘thoughtful touches’ as this summed up everything about the visit. The whole cottage has been presented thoughtfully with personal touches everywhere you look. Unexpected local produce and goodies were on the table on arrival plus there was even a Christmas tree and decorations up. Just wonderful. Thank you Bruce and family for making a stay in your cottage a possibility! I wish you a very successful and happy 2020.

    Kat2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Back in time for Christmas !! in 'Ye Olde Curiosity Cottage' - delightful !! From the freshly dug Christmas tree and decorations to the lovely 'welcome' treats we couldn't ask for more hospitality - the log burner made it so cosy - stunning views and walks from the doorstep - my only problem was working out how to switch the 'Donald Duck' hairdryer on !! DOH !! We hope to return later in 2020
