Just a stroll down a quiet lane to the centre of this ancient village, with a thriving shop and pub. Surrounded by beautiful Mendip hills, overlooking the Somerset Levels, blessed with lovely walks and interesting places to visit. Wells, with its historic Cathedral and Palace, and Cheddar with its spectacular gorge are 4 miles away.

The Mendip Hills are a popular place for cyclist and walkers. Please be aware that this countryside get away can feel secluded to some. Mobile signal can be poor. Garden View is a self contained idyllic country retreat, the perfect get away for all. It is situated at the bottom of the Mendip Hills, great for walking and relaxing. This has been a labour of love, transforming this unloved structure into great place to stay and unwind, with underfloor heating and a luxurious bathroom to soak and relax in at the end of the day. If you want to venture further a field we are perfectly situated to visit Bath, Glastonbury, Wells and surrounding areas.

Rookham View Lodge is located on a smallholding on top of the Mendips overlooking Wells. Relax on the patio, catch a view of the Red Kite soaring high, or visit the sheep, ponies, goats, ducks and chickens in the surrounding field. Get active on the many footpaths leading from our property, gently cycle the Somerset levels or try the more challenging rides on the Mendip Hills. Active or relaxing - we guarantee you will enjoy the view from our Lodge at the end of your day.

The Coach House

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful location in beautiful Somerset. The Coach House is a recently converted barn located in the quiet hamlet of Burcott just a mile from the Cathedral City of Wells, at the foot of the Mendip Hills. It is the perfect base to explore the county of Somerset with Glastonbury Tor, Wookey Hole Caves and Cheddar Gorge all within 20 minutes drive. There are 2 village pubs, a cafe and grocery shop all just a 15 minute walk away.

Hulbert’s Place: C15th house in the heart of Wells

This charming Grade II-listed two bedroom maisonette is situated within a row of ancient dwellings, just a short stroll from Wells Cathedral, The Bishop's Palace and the heart of Wells. Each of the two levels are embellished with wonderful authentic details such as original beams, restored timber floorboards and stone fireplaces. Originally built in the 15th century, the house has been sympathetically restored with an abundance of character, comfort and style.
