  • Zack and Julie are lovely hosts with the perfect location for me and the trips I needed to take to Danville, Milton, and Lewisburg. Charming and peaceful home!

  • Beautiful home and extremely nice hosts. Bed was really comfortable, and they very thoughtfully had lemon water and fruit by the bed. Only stayed for the night for a work trip, but it was great!

  • Beautiful and comfortable space. Great location.

    Brittany2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, very clean, super easy check in. We got in later than we had anticipated and Zack was very flexible. He made directions for self check in and finding our room in the house very easy. The house and room were very cute and very clean. He also left us water and snacks in case we were hungry after our journey. Breakfast was also provided and the we met Zack who was very kind! Definitely would stay again.

  • Although our stay was short, we loved it! The apartment is stylish and extremely comfortable. The hosts welcomed us with a nice note, goodies on the counter and drinks in the refrigerator. Lots of space for families to stretch out and relax. Beautiful location!

  • Beautiful location. Lovely accommodation. Perfect for a family. Wineries close by! Extremely clean and had everything we needed

    Rachel2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I often travel with my 4 year old daughter, and this was by far the best AirBnB for us. There was ample space, and a huge selection of toys, for us to play with together. The property has beautiful views and we wished we had more time there to enjoy the animals and walk the property while we were there. It would be a great place to relax outside in warmer weather as well. When we plan to return to the area I'll be sure to look up this location for future stays.

  • This is a new host and the accommodations were stunning! It had everything we needed. We would definitely book again! Very modern and very clean!

  • We appreciated having such a peaceful place to stay! The spacious apartment is almost the whole basement of a large house. It was clean, tastefully decorated and relaxing. There are plenty of beds as well as living space. The kitchen is beautiful. There is even a kids play area with neatly organized toys and a piano in the living room. It is a very wholesome & family friendly place in a country setting.

  • We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was spotless when we arrived, there was a nice welcome note and goodies on the table, and all the little touches to the space to made us feel welcome. We really felt at home here. The view was wonderful! We enjoyed the local hiking, and checked out the Railroad House, which we recommend.

  • My mother and I stayed for one night and it was such a lovely stay. The location is so cute and being we are from New York, it was very nice to be surrounded by open land and nature. Very quiet and peaceful area and you can see a lot of stars at night if you are a nature lover! As for the space, super clean and cozy and my mother is a clean freak so if she thinks a place is clean... it’s clean! The only slight downside was a little noise we heard from the people walking and talking upstairs but it wasn’t a big issue. Overall our stay was a 10/10!

    Star2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect! Very clean and very nice location right outside Lewisburg! Nice views too! Nice quiet place to relax!

  • This was a wonderful space. The apartment was very clean and comfortable with many warm touches. They even provided some nice snacks to enjoy. The location was convenient and there was a great view. Would recommend!

  • We had a great stay at Simon's Airbnb. We especially loved the view out the windows of rolling hills and PA farmland, the fully stocked kitchen where we were able to easily cook some meals, the closeness to Lewisburg and state parks, and all of their personal touches like homemade cookies :) would definitely stay here again!

    Katherine2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Simon’s place. We just stayed one night and it was just what we needed. Very clean and cozy. Very private. A nice view and secluded but it’s an easy drive to town and downtown Lewisburg which is where we went. We would stay again!

  • We were very happy with our stay. The guest house was very clean and comfortable space. It was stylish with several nice touches. We booked on short notice and the experience could not have been better. The host communicated well and everything was as or better than described. We would definitely recommend staying here to a friend.

  • Melvins place was beyond accommodating. Very private and very clean. It’s located in the country with with 2 major cities within 20 minutes driving distance. It was very clean with very nice touches. He was also very nice and always willing to accommodate. I would definitely stay there again when I’m back in town.

    Jonathan2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay! Everything was spotless and so nice.

    Emily2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was outstanding. Very modern. Quick responses from Melvin. Extremely clean. As other have mentioned, the tub was incredible. The huge bed was so comfortable. During our stay we woke up to a light snow and had a beautiful view from the back window. Highly recommend !

    Keith2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying at Melvin’s place. Amazing communication and easy access. When I walked into the space, I was stunned at the beauty of everything. Crisp and clean (I mean squeaky clean – no dust bunnies under the bed clean!). Very modern with lovely amenities. The lighting fixtures are so pretty and make it an even lovelier experience. I was expecting a double bed, but a comfortable king bed awaited me. Slept extremely well – soooo comfortable. Another surprise was the bathroom. Talk about a spa experience. Gorgeous standalone deep tub and nice pressured shower along with double sink and tons of space. Melvin even provided body wash in the shower. I would highly recommend staying with Melvin to any future guests. The location is extremely convenient to the main road, but also quite and private. In nice weather, I would have walked to the Dunkin Donuts down the street (but you don’t have to do that either as Melvin supplies coffee too!) Lastly – I was kind of worried about no TV or wifi in the space, but when I got there, no need to worry at all! Great cell signal and my unlimited data allowed me to launch my own wifi and stream my shows!

    Bonnie And Abe2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is definitely the cleanest and newest place to stay in the Selinsgrove/Lewisburg area. This is my second time staying here and it is an easy drive to Bucknell. Melvin is quick at responding and check-in and check-out is so easy!

    Jazmyn2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I just can’t praise these Hosts enough. The space was elegant and sparkling clean. It was so peaceful out there I forgot I was staying at someone else’s house. The bathtub is awesome. Mel & his wife were around if we needed anything but let us do our own thing, never intrusive. always friendly and courteous. My 3 year old loved the swing set out back and they were gracious enough to let us use it. We will be coming back! You guys are great :)

Come escape to our waterfront, off-grid cabin situated on one of Pennsylvania’s renowned trout streams. Enjoy the peaceful views, opportunities to fish, kayak, or tube down Penns Creek at this private cabin. Relax with a cup of coffee on our spacious dock overlooking the water, make some s’mores over the fire, or take a relaxing nap on our Creekside lounge chairs. Dogs are welcome!
While this cabin is off-grid and has no plumbing/running water—we have a gas-generator which will run outlets and lights within the cabin and we also have a separate, clean outhouse for your convenience. We have an outdoor, solar shower (5-gallon shower bag) that can be heated in the sun and can be used at any time. The cabin has a comfortable full-size bed with nice, warm bedding, indoor and outdoor furniture for both sunny and rainy days, a small kitchen space which includes an electric burner, a wood-fired cook stove that can be used for both heating and cooking, and a sink with a water dispenser for washing and drinking. The cabin has a spacious, covered porch that is perfect to enjoy meals on or watch the sunset from one of the rocking chairs. We have a large charcoal grill and picnic table that is perfect for family barbeques. A short walk towards the water will take you to a firepit-- perfect for cooking over or enjoying cool evenings in front of the fire. The dock we have overlooking the water is perfect for fishing, relaxing, and sunbathing. Penns Creek is navigable most of the year and is perfect for kayaking, canoeing, tubing, and of course: swimming! For an extra fee, we are happy to provide you with kayak rentals and/or pick-up from your adventures. We are happy to point you to well-maintained hiking trails in the surrounding area, swimming holes, fishing, golfing, bike trails and more. We have a cooler you are welcome to use, but you will need to bring your own ice (there is no fridge). Ice can also be purchased at a gas station or dollar store less than a mile away. Basic cookware and tableware are available including, plates, bowls, glasses, utensils, a pot, pans, and a coffee pot.
Located between Selinsgrove and Lewisburg, you are conveniently close to both nature and also nearby Bucknell and Susquehanna University, local breweries, the Susquehanna Valley Heartland Wine Trail, a wide variety of local eateries, entertainment, and all other modern conveniences. The cabin is located on a private, dirt road that is accessible by car and has plenty of parking available. The cabin’s front porch faces Penns Creek which is a tributary to the Susquehanna River. As a popular trout stream, most anglers focus their time near Weikert about 30 minutes west of the cabin where the cold water makes for ideal trout conditions. In cool, wet summers trout can be found in the creek near the cabin until early July. Here you can find both wild and stocked trout, smallmouth bass, catfish, and other native species.
  • This is the perfect place for a novice camper or someone who may just be starting out. They really set you up for success here, and you'll be walked through everything from check-in to how to use the wood stove. We are pretty knowledgeable and comfortable with "roughing it", but this is really an approachable spot for everyone regardless of camping experience.

  • Excellent getaway!

    Nathan2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This off-grid cabin is truly rustic and cozy! We stayed in October and needed to fire up the wood-burning stove to keep the place warm. Once everything got going, the place stayed really warm!

    Ann2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin. Very private outdoor space. Loved it.

    Lars2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Cabin is exactly as described! Perfect place for an off-the-grid getaway and great local spots including breweries and wineries nearby.

    Karen2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic little cabin with beautiful land, the cleanest outhouse I have ever seen, and a great place for camping with your dogs! Siobhan and Austin are great hosts.

    Noah2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Siobhan & Austin's place was exactly as pictured. It is very lovely and relaxing-just what we needed! It is a more rustic experience, but we are also used to that (maybe not for everyone). We enjoyed fishing off the dock with the leaves starting to change. We even saw a bald eagle! They had clear instructions on everything, but we did struggle with the generator, thinking it wasn't working, until we realized we just had to go outside and start it.

  • Lovely quiet place! We especially enjoyed the fleece sheets (new to us, and I was relieved to see regular sheets in the drawer, but we did not want them), plenty of blankets, heaters that we controlled, beautiful views of the river, and a host who was quickly downstairs helping us oldsters when we needed a tutorial on their television system! Also they allowed us to plug our electric car in. This is a kind family who were wonderful and considerate hosts!

We enjoyed the smart TV and large couch for lounging and relaxing. The location was perfect; extremely close to everything, yet private. Rodney was a great host, he responded quickly to our messages. • Always such a treat staying with Robin! Couldn’t recommend her more highly.

    Doug2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Robin's place is very cozy and warm. She is very kind and friendly and gave me great information about the area. I will definitely stay there again!

    Nancy2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Robin is amazing. She truly cares about her guests getting the best experience possible and she is a neat freak! Which we guests benefit from. Sparkling clean and quiet. The best!

    Joe2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • The prior reviews are spot-on. Robin's home is a very comfortable and convenient place to stay. She and her daughter couldn't have been more gracious hosts and I won't hesitate to stay with them again if I have to return to her area. The home was spotless and they provide a nice basket of trial sized personal care items if you should forget something. Bed was comfortable and the view down toward the Susky is great. They were absolutely accomodating to my early departure for my work days and odd hours during the day. One of the cats is a nosy boy who came knocking a couple of times looking for a quick head rub and wanting to do an inspection tour of the room, after which he sat there watching me work for a bit before wandering off to his next duty. I never saw one of the others and barely knew the 3rd was in the house. He poked his nose in once and froze in his tracks the instant I looked at him...then backed away when I spoke. You won't regret staying with Robin.

  • This was my first Airbnb experience, and this will probably be my best ever. Our host, Robin, was incredibly attentive, kind, and outgoing in making sure that our stay was perfect and comfortable. For the price ($60 a night) this was an absolute steal. It was easy to contact her (fast replies) and she is flexible in accommodating to anyone’s needs within reason. We read the description thoroughly and found that we got exactly what was written in that description, and then some. Thanks again Robin!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Scotty's Cottage. It had easy access and had a welcome feel as soon as we arrived. It was clean and bright. The decor was beautiful and the added Christmas decorations made it feel like home, especially the homemade cookies. Although I don't drink coffee I thought the coffee bar was an added touch. We got a good night's sleep on the firm mattress. We would definitely recommend it to others. We would consider doing this again in the future.

The kitchen, laundry, bathroom, living room & outdoor deck space are all large. Ranch style home with tons of natural light. Parking is close to the road and there are about 10 steps to walk down to get to the one story ranch that is approx. 900 sq. Feet of space. There are neighbors. Patricia2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Heather’s place has a great view of Penn’s Creek! It is a relaxing and cozy home that was clean and very affordable. It was also very hospitable by including complimentary K cups, water bottles and snack baggies. It’s only a short drive to Susquehanna University. We stayed to visit for our homecoming reunion. We couldn’t have had a better experience staying at B’s Creek. Thanks so much Heather!

  • Heather's place is really cute! Sits right on the creek with a beautiful porch and large windows overlooking it. The kitchen is large, and the living room has really comfortable couches for relaxing. As she points out, the bedroom is small, but the bed was great and the room size wasn't a problem for us. It is also immaculate!

    Clarissa2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • B's Creek House is exactly as posted and reviewed by other travelers. It is sparkling clean and very thoughtfully decorated/outfitted. We found it perfect for a long weekend away but close enough to surrounding towns and other amenities. The welcome package was thoughtful, and the areas for sleeping and family gathering were perfect. We highly recommend a stay at B's Creek House.

  • Who knew that my favorite airbnb I have stayed in so far would be in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania? Helen was an incredible host and thought of everything that we could possibly need! The check-in was super simple, parking was very easy, and Helen made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. There were snacks provided for us, breakfast in the fridge, and toiletries in case we forgot anything! We stayed for two nights and were three people, but we could have easily fit more people and would have loved to stay longer! Highly highly recommend! Will be returning anytime we need to visit Susquehanna! Thank you Helen!!

    Jessica2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at the treehouse was a unique experience that we would definitely do again! We were in the area for a Bucknell football game and the treehouse was a 15-minute drive from the stadium. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is a necessity as the trek up to the treehouse is a bit treacherous...but once you get to the top of the hill, the views are absolutely amazing! If you are looking for solitude and peace in the beautiful outdoors, this is definitely an experience to try!

    Ami2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a great night at Cindy's tree house. Even though it rained, we were able to get a fire started and enjoyed the sounds of coyotes under the stars. It is amazing getaway spot for any one looking for a romantic, quiet weekend. It is also within an hour of Penn's Cave and Hawk Mountain, two beautiful local attractions. Thank you Cindy!

  • Amazing!!!!!

    Kirstie2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED staying at Cindy’s treehouse! It’s a perfect getaway with a beautiful view, but not far from stores and attractions nearby. You have everything you need right at the treehouse — kitchen, stove, grill, running water, bathroom, comfy bed and fire pit. Dishes, pans, utensils, cups, and salt/pepper are all available, but bring your own condiments, cooking oil/butter, and charcoal briquettes for the grill. We drove into town to eat dinner at Selin’s Grove Brewery, and rented kayaks at Bic’s about a half hour away. Would love to stay again sometime! Cindy was very accommodating and allowed us to bring our dogs.

    Emily2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • My Wife and I loved our stay here. Very worth the trip for some true relaxation!!! Would stay again :)

  • Spent the weekend here. I was looking for a quiet and relaxing weekend and that is exactly what I got. Amazing views, wildlife, and the best view of stars I have ever had in my life. The treehouse was clean and comfy. All the amenities worked great! I highly recommend and I see myself visiting again in the future.

    Jeffrey2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • When you pull into the driveway, you can see the treehouse at the top of the hill and that is where the excitement begins! My husband and I brought our two dogs for a weekend vacation. We were very comfortable in the cabin in the trees. The space was clean and the bed was cozy. It was hot out during the day but we brought a few battery operated fans that kept us cool at night. The kitchen and bathroom in the camper worked well and we enjoyed our meals on the picnic table overlooking the hillside. The hot shower in the bathhouse was nice. We saw lots of deer in the evenings. The dogs enjoyed swimming in the creek across the street. Our favorite part was sitting on the porch at the top of the trees. It was a perfect spot for watching fireworks and stars at night and listening to the birds in the morning. Cindy is the perfect host she was responsive and accommodating.

A large bedroom with plenty of available sleeping options. Whether you are driving through or stopping to visit, this area has a lot to offer. We are located 15-20 minutes from Knobels Amusement Park, Selinsgrove, Danville & Lewisburg. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g53788-Activities-Sunbury_Pennsylvania.html
We have no problems sharing our home and allow our guests to use whatever part of our house they need. (1.5 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, 2x living rooms, yard.) We do request you respect our privacy and stay out of the master bedroom and kids' room. The guest bedroom itself is located next to the master bedroom. There is an upstairs bathroom with toilet, tub/shower which will be shared. There is a half bathroom downstairs that is also shared. Our son's bedroom is at the end of the hallway, and we have no problem sharing toys/games with your children. Our standard set-up is a queen size, pillow top bed which accommodates two people nicely. If needed, we have the ability to inflate a queen size air mattress to accommodate two additional guests. If you are a party of two and would like the air mattress inflated upon arrival, do please let us know in advance. There is a lock inside the room on the bedroom door, as well as a mini-fridge, small desk and luggage rack available for use. There is a tabletop ironing board, iron and extra linens in the closet. There are extra towels and washcloths in the black cabinet in the room. The hair dryer is under the upstairs bathroom sink on the right side. The first aid kit is in the downstairs bathroom in the white cupboard above the toilet.
We live in a busy little part of the neighborhood but offer free reign of our private front porch and fenced in yard. We have parking available in the alley behind our home. The alley may seem a little unbecoming upon first arriving, but we assure you that it's a different place once you walk past the gate. We are located close to a grocery store, Spyglass and Whispering Oaks wineries, Eclipse Brewery, Bucknell and Susquehanna Universities, as well as Knoebels Amusement Resort. There are too many attractions to list so please just ask!
  • Ryan and Maxine were incredible hosts! They thought of absolutely everything to make us feel at home. From the room to the basket of extra toiletries in case we forgot something to the wonderful living space that was beautifully and cozily decorated, everything was just perfect. We felt perfectly at home and would recommend a stay with them to anyone!

  • The home is spotless and a great location. I went to Knoebels one of the days of my stay, and the house is close. Communication was excellent with the family. I had to check in late due to a flight delay, and they had no problem with that. I loved the decor of the house, very charming. I would recommend this place to anyone, and hope to come back soon!

  • This is a beautifully remodeled home with sights you'd find in right in a Better Homes and Gardens magazine. I really wish I could live here! The hosts were very responsive to messages and shared insight to local businesses. Finn is a great dog and loves to give kisses. Truly a wonderful experience.

    Nicole2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely outstanding hosts, we couldnt ask for a more welcoming family during our time in Sunbury. We had car trouble and Ryan was nice enough to recommend a mechanic and borrow his car for the day. I'm blown away by their kindness and selflessness, if you end being hosted by the William's family- they will not disappoint at all.

THIS HOME IS NEWLY RENOVATED!! Guests will enjoy this colonial home located in the quaint town of New Berlin. Guests will delight in the picturesque setting from the private backyard with views of the famous Penns Creek and lovely established farms. Guests will appreciate their direct recreational access to the water right on the property. New Berlin, being centrally located, is a 10-15 minute drive to Lewisburg, Mifflinburg, and Selinsgrove. Winery, pottery, water recreation -all close by.
This home, built circa 1850 is unique in several ways from the old fashioned side porch, original log accents, old wood floors, wide window sills and hand-hewn beams. Relax in the living room with the original log cabin wall and exposed beams in front of the warm fireplace. This room has an intimate, snug and warm feeling. Although visitors will enjoy the charm of days gone by they will appreciate the modern touches of the home’s complete renovation in 2019. Craftsman restored the original logs and chinking from the home. Exposed rough cut beams adorn the living room and upstairs bedrooms. Renters will enjoy the space of three bedrooms plus an additional child’s loft space for playing or sleeping. One of the bedrooms is a traditional colonial “keeping room”. In colonial times the keeping room was next to the kitchen to take advantage of the kitchen heat. A keeping room is a combination sitting room and sleeping room and utilizes convertible sofa bed to keep the traditional keeping room functionality. Guests enter the keeping room through double barn doors. This room has a relaxing feel with water-views and access to the yard. In addition to the keeping room/bedroom, guests will likely spend time gathering around the gas fireplace in the living room. The home has two bedrooms upstairs with a full bathroom between the rooms. The feeling of space is accented by the 12 foot high ceiling emulating post and beam construction. This first bedroom has a queen size bed. The second bedroom has room to sleep five people with three single twin beds and a children’s loft with a full mattress. The headroom to the top of the loft is about 5 feet. The downstairs living room also have sleeping options with a queen sofa bed. Guests will value the professional landscaped backyard that has a wood and wire fence to keep pets and children safe while maintaining the water-views. There is a sunken area with a stone fire pit to enjoy toasting marshmallows. There is also a large alfresco dining area. The back yard is accented with low stone walls built by hand. The tall cedar fence on the west side of the yard provides complete privacy. The east side is blocked by the homes tall, rustic, barn-like garage. Guests will appreciate the quiet one-way street of this location. Traffic is minimal since most cars are headed to the few homes on this street. The locations is an easy walk to the town’s park that has a boat (kayak) launch and playground area. It is a nice area for a walk along the creek with your favorite person or four-legged friend. This park is used for the town's July 4th festivities and fireworks. Guests will also enjoy walking through town and checking out the Victorian architecture and gardens of the homes. Don't be surprised if you see horse and buggies on the road. This area still enjoys the rich culture of an Amish and Mennonite community. Many have small businesses in the area that you are encouraged to shop at such as grocery stores with bakeries, plant nurseries/greenhouses, road side stands, fabric stores, farm goods and harness shops.
A benefit to the town of New Berlin is that it is centrally located to several towns and things to do. • Brenda was a super host from start to finish! The accommodations were the perfect fit for our group! Our kids even opted to cook in (and they did a lot of the cooking!) instead of going out to each, so they could enjoy the house more! So many nice touches... beautiful décor, awesome outdoor space, great kitchen! I would highly recommend the Blue Heron Lodge!

    Amy2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The house is perfect for a family vacation. We were traveling with another couple and enjoyed exploring the area and using the house amenities; the kitchen has everything you need, the rooms are cozy and the backyard is a real bonus :) Brenda made sure to call us on the day of our arrival to go over any questions we might have and provide local tips.

    Anat2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Love staying here while we visit family in the area! Beautiful and comfortable house. ❤️ We definitely hope to return next time we are in the area.

  • Had a wonderful stay at the Blue Heron. It was the perfect setting for our family Christmas trip. Right on Penn’s creek, we enjoyed beautiful sunrises and sunsets, used the fire pit even though it was a little chilly (still fun). One of our favorite Airbnb’s to date.

    Carrie2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Brenda's home was warm and inviting. We loved the space and the location. Brenda was a perfect host. It was a great place to stay.

    Kristen2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Charming old farmhouse that has been tastefully and respectfully reclaimed and restored. The entire space is updated (including modern kitchen and bathrooms) but it all fits together perfectly with the original structure. Such perfect combinations are rare and very special! Beautiful views of Penn’s Creek and the surrounding farmland. Highly recommend this rental!

    Jessica2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our group visiting for the Little League World Series had a great stay. Brenda is a wonderful host and the house is newly renovated with a great view of surrounding countryside in the backyard. Highly recommend!

    Timothy2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I had a wonderful weekend at Brenda's. It's clear that she has taken great care to create a beautiful and welcoming space. We loved the indoor space as much as the outdoor space, and enjoyed a nice dinner outside looking out at the water. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking tools and the bedrooms and bathrooms had plenty of linens and towels. While the house is on a street with other homes, the space feels very private and quiet. Great stay!

Quiet. Nice trees, corn field. Easy acess to Penn Valley airport if you're flying in on business or pleasure.
  • Beautiful, cozy, and clean. Kitchen is small but well-stocked with many cooking utensils. The piano is cute but not at all tuned. The bed is so comfy!

  • Great space. Great value. Lots of nice modern upgrades put in recently.

    Justin2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was clean and perfect for short or long stay. The beds were very comfortable and the location is fantastic. It is in the heart of Selinsgrove and a short drive to the Susquehanna and Bucknell University's. It is on a beautiful creek and practically on the runway of the Penn Airport. This air-traffic was not loud, as the planes were small, I really enjoyed watching them take off and land and it was really cool at night when it was all lit-up. Also provided was a canoe and a bike and pets are welcome. Definitely a home run for me, I would stay there again for sure!

  • This was definitely the best place we’ve stayed at in the area! My grandparents live in Richfield and every time we take the 3.5hr Drive with our toddler son it’s a challenge. It was so nice to arrive in a wonderfully clean and perfect sized space. I hope we are welcome to return because I can see this being our recurring rental spot.

  • What made this stay so great was that it had everything you could need, just as if you were home! Everything to cook meals with (which was seriously sooooo helpful). All the linens you could need. The place was very neat & decorated so cute. There was enough sleeping space for our 7 person group + some which was a life saver. Of course it was secluded which is always nice on a vaca. The deck area was wonderful right on the river. There were no complaints at all, & we would definitely recommend a stay here & we would love to book here in the future!

  • Creek Valley Cove was perfect for our holiday celebration. Amy and Neil have added so many special touches, which made our stay feel like home. The home was decorated beautifully for the holidays including festive lights wrapping the deck. I enjoyed drinking my morning coffee and looking at the woods and Penns Creek. The open layout of the home is perfect for entertaining. Amy and Neil are great hosts!

  • This exceptionally clean suite checks all the boxes. We had an event at Bucknell University, and it was the perfect distance away in a nice, secluded area. There are a ton of restaurants only minutes away and a trampoline park / arcade nearby for the kids. We only had a quick overnight stay, but there is a fully equipped kitchen which would be perfect for any length of stay. The hosts were welcoming but not intrusive, and they add nice touches such as a Keurig and some snacks for when you arrive. The communication could not have been any better. The response was almost immediate to any question I asked. I'll definitely be staying there again if I need a place in the area.

  • Larry and Patrica were amazing with accommodating our last night of our vacation and our late arrival. Door was unlocked and heat was on thankfully. Super sweet welcoming sign with our names and delicious snacks provided I and my family will enjoy. Waking up with beautiful views on the water is just the romantic relaxation and recharging we needed. Can’t wait for our next visit to take advantage of the bonfire, kayaking and fishing. Thanks again!

    Kelly2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was so much fun! They had cookies waiting for us and a cute little sign with our names on it upon arrival. Their was both an ac/heater/and fan! We kayaked and went fishing all day and sat by the fire roasting marshmallows at night. They had dishes and silverware covered so all you need is to bring clothes and food! We loved our time at the fisherman’s paradise and will definitely be back.

    Abbey2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Patricia was amazing! She responded to our inquiries so quickly and was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Everything was perfect. From the scenery, to the personal touches she did just for me and my boyfriend. We were welcomed by a personal “Welcome Marc and Marlene” as soon as we walked down to the cabin-like tiny house. There was wood stocked for us and fresh drinking and cooking water. The place was sparkling clean and had every amenity we would need from toiletries to cooking stuff. There was even coffee, ice, and a few other goodies we were welcomed to use. We also were impressed by the canoe and kayaks. As well as the fire pit with a comfy swing and a charming chiminea outside. I just couldn’t believe how perfect everything was. And the title of FISHERMAN PARADISE is totally fitting. You can literally fish right off the deck or take the canoe/kayak out. We were lucky enough to catch Bass, Tiger Muskellunge, and Catfish. This little piece of heaven feels secluded enough in the best parts of nature but close enough to any store you may need and lots of other entertainment. The river is about 5-8 minutes away. You definitely can’t go wrong here. Wether you’re looking for a romantic getaway or an adventure, this is the place to be. The price was right and we highly recommend. We have found a place we will be going to at least once or twice a year.

Very Remote and private cabin along the river. A short 15 minute drive away to the town.
  • If you are looking for some time alone, to be around nature and peace, to gather your thoughts and to reflect on life- You should definitely stay at Landon's place. This is by far the best place I have reserved- Cleanliness is a huge thing for me and this place is SUPER CLEAN and I must say very well stocked. I always pick up cleaning supplies and extra things just in case, but Landon's place was pretty survivable for a weekend getaway. Landon was always quick to respond to any questions I had and it really comforted me. This place offered everything and more. I am definitely looking to visit again in the nearby future.

  • The cabin is exactly as it showed in the pictures but when there, it's amazing. Will definitely stay again!!!

  • We had a wonderful time in Landon’s cabin. Everything was so perfect. We loved it, we don’t even want to go back to New York. This place reminds us, our childhood. We had so much fun telling story while drinking hot chocolate in the fireplace. We are definitely coming back on summer! Landon was a great host. Thank you Landon for everything!

    Saviesky2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Landon is the perfect host and was attentive to ensuring that we had all of the directions for getting to and entering the cabin. Landon could not have made the check-in process and simpler, even through we arrived around 9:30 PM. As we drove toward the cabin, it was dark outside but were able to see that we were being transported back in to an era reminiscent of simpler living. The winding road to the cabin transitions from paved to packed stone—not to worry—no off-roading, just no pavement! After walking from the gorgeous covered porch which overlooks famous Penns Creek into the cabin, we were pleased to see the open floor plan with modern amenities. The kitchen is well appointed and even features beautiful granite countertops. Yes, this is a cabin but is far from rustic! In the basement, there are 5 bunk beds with very comfy mattresses (according to our children). Upstairs in the loft is a queen size sleeping arrangement with cozy covers and comfortable mattress. LED accent light frame the whole upstairs and really create a cool atmosphere. The following morning, we made breakfast and ate at the large table. After breakfast we drove on the local country roads to the quaint town of Mifflinburg to attend its German Christkkindl Market, which had wonderful local crafts, delectable food and even authentic German dancing group performances, etc. That evening was family entertainment night at the cabin. We watched a movie on the flat panel TV and played checkers. All-in-all, we really enjoyed our time at Landon’s cabin on Penns Creek and plan to return!

  • We had a great time. The cabin was so adorable and cozy. We really enjoyed taking walks around the cabin and the views of the water were great. It was so beautiful. And peaceful-exactly what we we needed. The cabin was perfectly stocked. Beds and pillows were super comfortable. While in the area, we had dinner at Rusty Rail Brewery which was great and stopped at Shade Mountain Winery which was really fun too. 100% recommend this cabin. Can’t wait to come back.

  • Amazing getaway. Beautiful setting. Great hosts. Definitely going back!!!

    Jody2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin far exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect. The cabin is situated right on the river and is so private. We had bon fires every night and enjoyed all of the outdoor amenities. There is everything you'll need in this house. Our daughters enjoyed the bunk beds and chalkboard wall and my husband and I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The stairs are steep, as described, but the charm of the cabin is unlike anything you've ever experienced. Landon was extremely responsive when we had a few questions and an absolute pleasure to deal with.

The Countrypolitan's modern decor coupled with efficient design creates your "home away from home" in the "suburbs" of downtown, Victorian Lewisburg! Here for business or pleasure, the home was designed for authentic relaxation and rejuvenation! Short or long term, Bucknell/SU/PSU/LLWS/Arts Fest/ChridstKindl and other Lewisburg/Selinsgrove/Mifflinburg/Milton weekends, weddings, family hosting, & the Buffalo Valley Rail Trail are just a few reasons guests visit The Countrypolitan all year long.
The Countrypolitan was completely remodeled in 2019. Our decor and furniture choices are meant to create your oasis of serenity in a cozy and comfy atmosphere. The Countrypolitan offers all the space you really need in a great residential neighborhood that is quiet yet always very welcoming. We have a 0% tolerance pet policy not because we do not love animals but because we want to respect all future guests who may have pet allergies. We only clean the house with chemical/dye free products so no harsh chemicals are used on our floors, surfaces, etc. Julie reps the Norwex line so she can receive the discount. If you would like to take advantage of the same 35% discount (and sometimes higher), let Julie know and she will hook you up!
The Countrypolitan is located in the “suburbs” of downtown, Victorian Lewisburg. The neighbors have all been very friendly to us while being a quiet neighborhood at the same time. Friendly + Quiet is our kind of neighborhood! We would be surprised if you did not see several neighbors taking walks past The Countrypolitan with their 4-legged friends during your stay. Located only a block from the edge of the Bucknell Golf Course, and less than 1 mile from the nearest Buffalo Valley Rail Trail entrance, there is plenty of active, outdoor options to keep you energized. If you choose to enjoy our screened-in back porch, keep your eyes wide open as you may see one of our white-tail deer friends wander through the yard.

We slept with the window slightly open, and we heard the clip clip of horse drawn carriages at night while sleeping. Up to date amenities and lots and lots of roomy rooms. A highlight of our holidays in the US.

The home was perfect. 5 bedrooms - the twin bed room is connected to a queen room which was perfect for one of our families with a teenager. Very comfortable beds. House is huge with endless rooms. Kitchen is modern with many nice amenities including a Keurig. We hung out for hours in the kitchen and the attached TV room. House is solid as a rock. Couldn’t hear noise from room to room. We walked to dinner at Rusty Rail Brewing. Lovely walk. Maybe 25 minute drive from Selinsgrove. Leilani was a wonderful host - very quick responses and great communication. We will be back!

  • We had a wonderful stay - the pictures do not do this place justice. The view of Penn's Creek from the front porch during the changing color of the fall leaves is not one you should miss! Brenda's cabin felt like a home away from home and was a cozy and comfortable place for us to stay after a long day of multi-surface cycling. I can't wait to go back!

  • We really enjoyed our stay in Mifflinburg! From the delicious cookies and lemonade Brenda had waiting for us upon arrival to the peacefulness sitting my the creek, it was a great weekend and wonderful stay. Brenda was quick to respond and the place was absolutely beautiful! I would recommend it to anyone, hands down.

    Leigh2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Brenda's house is up to date, comfortable, and clean. We had two dogs with us and the house was in a safe location where we could let them outside without a leash to roam free. The location was right across from the river where we could cast a few fishing lines or just sit by the water. It was also not far from Selinsgrove where we spent most of an afternoon downtown. To top it off, Brenda was an amazing host who was easy to get in contact with, flexible, and welcomed us by leaving lemonade and delicious whoopie pies in the kitchen. I would highly recommend staying at the Bear Den!

You won't want to miss this unique spot surrounded by woods and a beautiful view of the mountains, enjoyable from both the outside deck or inside the 25-foot Great Room. This special house was created in 2005 by a man who relocated here from Long Island, NY. It is far from your typical farm house in Snyder County, but with all the same great views and privacy.
You'll enter up steps to the private entrance into the game room, then you can take a few steps up to the stunning Great Room where you'll find a beautiful double staircase to the top floor. The Blue House on the Hill, surrounded by 69 acres of farmland, is calling your name for your next trip away from home, whether you are in the area to visit your college student, or just want a getaway to a peaceful location for a few days.
The house is 8 miles from Susquehanna University, 16 miles from Bucknell University, and 56 miles from Penn State University. There are several small towns nearby such as Middleburg, Mifflinburg, and Selinsgrove. On the "strip" near Selinsgrove there are many restaurants and places to shop. There is a really nice park in Selinsgrove called Kids Grove. The house is 29 miles from Knoebels Grove in Elysburg.
  • The host is really nice and prepare cookies for us. We love the ping pong table and the pool table. Rooms are clean!
