Jake and his wife are lovely and friendly, and they offered us delicious breakfast which made us delighted. They have a very beautiful backyard and a cute dog. At the end of our accommodation, Jake and his wife sent to the Cambridge University which is our traveling destination. I would definitely recommend their house and these kind hosts.

The hosts were very welcoming with a cuppa. We were a late applicant and Jake & Joan were Prepared to accept us at late notice. The suggestion for a restaurant was perfect - we'd never have known of it otherwise. The location was just out of Cambridge in a quiet area. We enjoyed the Park and Ride (cycle) suggested to us to have fun exploring Cambridge .

Jake and Jean were impeccable hosts. The communication before my stay was fast and helpful. Jake kindly arranged for keys to be left at a collection point for my convenience. The room was a good size and had a private ensuite attached. The bed was super comfy and the breakfast was amazing - freshly squeezed apples from the garden and Aberdeen butteries with yoghurt and berries, its amazing that they managed to convince me to leave in the end! On the last day, Jean very kindly dropped me off in Cambridge as I found myself a bit stranded without a car. This Air B&B is a good jumping off point for the countryside or visiting Cambridge (if you'd rather be a little outside of the hustle and bustle). I was visiting Wysing Art Centre, which is just a 5-10 minute drive from the house. All in all a lovely experience, with very nice hosts. Thanks both!

Had a lovely stay in a beautiful clean room on a very nice estate. Sandra was very friendly and kind, would recommend!

Sandra was an excellent host: friendly and helpful. Our room overlooked the tiny, but pretty garden that looked good even in winter. The room itself was also tiny, but had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The bed was soft and comfortable, the decor was neutral, and we both enjoyed a good night's sleep. The en-suite shower room was clean and everything worked well. We checked in during the evening as we had been in Cambridge all day and stayed there for dinner, and Sandra was very welcoming and let us make tea when we arrived. Breakfast is not included in the cost, which would suit many people who do not eat early in the morning. The house had room to park our car and is just a 10 minute drive to a Park and Ride for Cambridge. Very few B&bs in Cambridge itself offer parking space, so Sandra's house in Cambourne suited us well.

Sandra was a welcoming host, but was happy to give privacy. The room was clean and the bed a comfy double with a good sized en suite shower room off. I was able to park right outside the front door, but the area was quiet with a mix of families, professionals/ couples. Cambourne is a modern that continues to grow, and the large Morrisons is a very short drive away from the house.

Richard’s home is an excellent location for a visit to the Cambridge area. The house is located in at quiet section of Cambourne and the room is located away from the central part of the house. The room, as well as the house, is immaculate, nicely appointed and a real plus is the en suite toilet and shower. East- and west-facing windows provide abundant light. Richard is friendly but unintructive. I thoroughly recommend!

Richard's house is of a very high standard, spotlessly clean, and situated in a quiet residential area, close to a large supermarket. He is an extremely pleasant chap and was welcoming and considerate. The room is a good size, with double aspect and a decent-sized, nicely fitted en-suite shower room/ loo/ basin.

Very nice accommodation, clean, tidy lots of games & DVD's available too. Kitchen small but well equipt. Nice residential area & close to Nature Reserve so great for local dog walking. No faults found at all. Very happy with our stay.

This apartment was ideal for our needs and we had plenty of space even with my two pre-teen daughters. The girls took the main bedroom, which also has a lovely single bed hidden away in a wardrobe space with curtains, which my younger daughter loved. The sofa bed in the lounge is the easiest to set up and put away, and was comfortable too. The kitchen, although small, is well equipped and there is a dining area in the lounge. Cambourne has plenty of local facilities including Morrisons supermarket within walking distance, and we took the bus into Cambridge which is about half an hour away. Carol was friendly and helpful and while we were her first guests via AirBnB she has been letting properties for a while so we had no trouble with the arrangements. The caretaker lives right across the road. All in all we had a comfortable and trouble-free stay - despite the snow - and would recommend it.

Great stuff, host was extremely communicative, helpful and flexible. The place was comfortable and clean with a nice big TV. Wifi was iffy but we got good signal on our phones so didn't make a difference. Really enjoyed our time here.

Perfect home base! Thanks so much to Carol and Rose for allowing us to enjoy the Boat House. Our friends staying at the nearby hotel were very jealous of all the space and amenities. It was very comfortable, bright, clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back next time we visit our family in Hilton.

The accommodation itself, I would describe as a beautiful 1 bedroom apartment (and with the addition of a sofa bed in the lounge area) which is on the first floor above a triple garage. It is 'detached', i.e. separated from the owner's home (but within the beautiful grounds). It is approximately 15 minutes drive away from St. Neots (which was where our event was taking place) and an easy journey. The communal space is open plan and comprises of a small desk, a large L-shaped sofa (sofa bed), kitchen (with fridge, freezer, oven) and a breakfast bar style counter. The accommodation sleeps 3 (2 in the bedroom and 1 on the sofa bed). There are 2 bar stools, so we used the chair from the desk so that all three of us could socialise at the breakfast bar. The bathroom is spotless - it has a shower and toilet - guests need to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. There are velux ceiling blinds for the skylights and roman blinds on the windows - both easy to operate. I found the accommodation to be spacious and comfortable. There was ample parking to accommodate our two cars. The gardens are well kept but I am unsure if they are available for guest use (we didn't need outdoor space for our visit, so we didn't need to ask about using the garden). I wasn't sure of what to do with the key when we left, so I put it through the letterbox of the owner's house. There was instruction about a key box (with a pin number code) but we couldn't find the key box. I would highly recommend to stay here.

Our worst ever Airbnb. We have stayed in many Airbnb and use Superhost as a guide but I don't know how this could apply here. Room not ready after we arranged to arrive at 8pm, bathroom dirty, shower leaked onto the floor and the host told us he would fix it but for 3 nights we were there he didn't and each time we showered water pooled on the floor in front of the basin, we were denied access to everywhere except the kitchen so there was nowhere to sit other than our bed, there was nowhere to sit or a table to have breakfast, breakfast on day one toast no butter, enough jam for one piece of toast, host told us he would get jam but he didn't. Day two breakfast was toast and butter standing in the kitchen, day three we bought our own breakfast. The list could go on but it's too depressing . Not good at all

I can only recommend this place. Very clean, well equipped, a lot of space inside the house and a nice garden. Very quiet location, just a nice place to live!

Julie's place is very comfortable and well equipped. The location is great for Cambridge - a nice residential area away from traffic and parking problems, but with central Cambridge very close and easily accessible by car or public transport. Would definitely recommend.

Booked this for some colleagues who where working in the area. They really enjoyed their stay and even ended up staying an extra night. The communication they received from the host was great and booking the extra night was very easy. They especially liked the beds in the property which they all said were very comfy and gave them all a great nights sleep. Would defiantly book again when they are next in the area.

We were very impressed with Julie's willingness to meet us at her place and make our stay memorable in the right-kind-of-way! Her house is warm and has everything you need -- it was just what we needed!

We had a great weekend staying at Julie's house. Although we were late arriving, Julie met us at the house, gave us a guided tour and answered all of our questions. The house accommodated our group of 6 with ease. We all had a very good nights sleep - the beds were very comfy and the location very peaceful. The trip into the centre of Cambridge only took about 10 mins on the bus (the bus stop was located only a short stroll away) and a co-op nearby provided all the provisions we required for the weekend. All in all a great experience and we will be in touch to stay again if/when we are next in the area.

Andrew and Maggie are lovely and I highly recommend their place. I stayed there for doing a course and I had plenty of space to study in the room, and a peaceful place to sleep. They were very clear and communicative at the arrival, so getting there was quite easy. During the stay I felt like home, they even shared an amazing chinese rice dish with me :)

Fantastic old cottage and a quirky place to stay. Plenty of space, the bedroom is huge. Girton was nice and quiet, yet very easy access to A14 and into Cambridge. The cottage is a 2 min walk from a play park and 10 mins from co-op, so good amenities for a family. And Jack left everything we needed, including milk in the fridge.

We enjoyed our stay in Jack's place. House had everything that we needed for a short stay and was very convenient for visiting our son at Girton college. Jack communicated with us very well.

The Old School House is the perfect place for a quiet relaxing stay. It was warm and cosy and although the weather was miserable it meant we could have a log fire everyday! The bus stops virtually outside - so extremely convenient for exploring Cambridge city! The house was very well equipped. And Jack was very helpful in making our stay very comfortable. We would highly recommend the house.

This is a beautiful quaint cottage situated 10/15 mins from central Cambridge. The place was clean and Jack provided all the essentials we needed for our stay including bread and milk which was a lovely touch. We spent 2 nights here and would definitely come back again. Jack is an excellent host and if you are looking for a place to stay this cottage is perfect.

Jack was a brilliant host. He took care of all the basics, went above and beyond with lovely details in the property and really great suggestions as to the area. The cottage felt like it was a mile away from our busy city life, like a proper country cottage but so close to Cambridge. It was lovely relaxing with the open fire one night, the garden for coffee the next and all topped off with a relaxing roll top bath with view of the gardens. It was perfect! Much better than any of the hotels we have stayed in around Cambridge and I travel a lot for work as a film director. This had everything and more and great character as well. Wonderful place. I'd go back in the drop of a hat. Very romantic and very, very archetypal English. Like something from a Richard Curtis romcom!

This is a truly wonderful and quiet property just a short (and picturesque) walk from the centre of Cambridge. Dan made me feel very welcome and provided everything I needed and a lot more, including freshly laid eggs! As well as being close to Cambridge and the river, there are also lots of great walks and runs nearby. A comfortable bed, large bathroom and well appointed kitchen all make for a great stay. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay at this little well-appointed house/flat in a great peaceful location. It was just as billed and we received a warm welcome with milk, cereal, eggs, prosecco on arrival! Modern and clean, great wi-fi. Lovely picturesque walk into Cambridge- we will return.

Fiona's cottage is lovely, it's like a home away home. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped for meal preparation, both bathrooms were immaculately clean as was the rest of the cottage. The bedding and towels were lovely. TV was great with lots of channels available plus a DVD player and a few DVDs which is a nice touch - especially when you have a young child who needs something to do on a rainy day. The village itself is lovely, it has a small grocery store which is about a 10minute walk away. The church and pub next door are very nice also. The village is not far from Cambridge - about a 15 minute drive depending on traffic. We hired a car for the first few days which was very convenient then used public for the rest of the time. A taxi fare to and from Cambridge costs £13.50 which we thought was quite reasonable. Other then that you can get a bus, they run fairly often (about every 20minutes) from the top of the village and a single fare is £2.40. Or there is one bus a day that goes right outside the cottage into Cambridge at 7.30 am and one that comes back in the evening. The only negative thing I could say (and I do so hesitantly because overall we had a fantastic stay) is that we were a little disappointed that the host organized an appointment for an architect to come into the cottage during our stay without letting us know ahead of time. And also that we were expected to clean the cottage (as per a list) when we had paid a "cleaning fee" in the booking. We definitely do not mind keeping the place tidy and cleaning up after ourselves but when you pay a cleaning fee you don't expect to have a list of things that need to be done. Overall we really did have a fantastic stay and would definitely come back. Thank you Fiona for you hospitality, we loved your lovely little cottage.

Fiona is a great host, she was always there when we needed her. check in was easy using the keysafe for the main gate of the cottage. The room was amazing with very comfortable double bed and luxurious furniture. Kitchen was fully equipped with washing machine and dryer. Location is the best if you're are driving, it's in very quiet area and it's less than 10min to the historical city centre. I'd definitely recommend Cam cottage to anyone coming to Cambridge.

I had a wonderful stay at the Cam Cottage! The accommodation was very homey and cozy and Fiona was a warm and welcoming host. I even got sick during my stay and Fiona took care of me, preparing a home remedy and other medicaments. We felt very comfortable in Clebe Cottage. Fiona made us very warmly welcomed and given valuable advice to explore beautiful places near Hardwick. The accommodation is very comfortable and fine furnished. The booking process was straightforward, Fiona replied always fast and has been credited to our wishes. We had a great experience at Glebe cottage. Fiona is a great host and very accommodating. When we arrived we found the place impeccably clean and already warmed up ready for our arrival. Fiona was very flexible with our early check in and late check out. The cottage had very good heating and hot water at all times even during outside temperatures of -3 Celsius. We stayed at Glebe cottage for almost two weeks due to business training close-by and we felt at home whenever we returned in the evening. The kitchen had all the appliances and utensils we could possibly need, even a kitchen scale. Fiona is super friendly and helpful and when I asked her for directions to some where she returned with a printed journey planner from RAC nicely tucked into a plastic wallet. Overall I cannot fault anything with the cottage, it is only about 10 minutes drive from Cambridge, benefits from a massive garden and has all the luxuries to suit everyones needs.
