Places to stay in Dormston
Spacious Pet friendly accommodation set in fantastic Worcestershire countryside. With a lovely outer deck to enjoy the beautiful views and a drink at sunset. Has great walks on the doorstep yet close to amenities and motorway links and several lovely country pubs. Set apart from the house, the Studio is a private cosy hide away with amazing views: a great place to unwind and enjoy the peace, an extensive continental breakfast is included. The hosts are friendly and pets are made very welcome.
The studio is a private, large open plan space, set on the second floor of a detached annex, with a large window overlooking rolling countryside that extends as far as the Malvern Hills. It is comfortable, cosy and completely self contained and is separate from the main house so you will have complete privacy. It has a small kitchenette, with a kettle, fridge, freezer, toaster, microwave, a small cooker can also be made available. There are plenty of little extras waiting for you on arrival, including wherever possible a warm loaf of home made bread, as well as a selection of teas, filter coffee, orange juice, butter, home made jam, cereals, oats and seeds. In addition a basket of warm croissants, freshly laid boiled eggs and fruit will be delivered to your door in the morning when you are ready. Dinner or a full English Breakfast can be arranged on request. We can also arrange for Wine, Champagne or Chocolates to be in the room on arrival. There is a restful lounge area with a large flat screen TV and a desk. WIFI is available though the signal varies being in the countryside! There is outside seating on a deck that extends to the side of the studio, perfect for watching the sunset with a glass of wine. There is separate access and a large gravel driveway with secure parking for one or two cars. A washer dryer can be made available for guests booking stays of 3 days or more. Check in is at 3pm and check out is at 11am. An early check in or late checkout can be arranged in advance for an additional £10. Please just ask when booking and I’ll do what I can to accommodate you.
The studio is located on a bridal path, at the top of a hill overlooking a lovely sweeping valley. It’s in a perfect rural setting in a beautiful part of Worcestershire. There are some lovely walks right on your doorstep, and you’ll find copies of the OS public footpaths in the studio. Our closest village is Feckenham, a picturesque traditional English village, with a village green and several great pubs. There are several walking and riding routes, including the long-distance public footpath, The Monarch's Way, that passes about 1.5 miles east of the village. Most Importantly we are lucky to be close to a number of great country pubs; The Brook Inn is less than half a mile down the road, an easy walk and we supply a torch for the darker nights! In Feckenham, both the Rose and Crown and The Forest are a 5 minute drive, or a lovely 45 mins off road walk straight down the bridal path. A great way to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, if we are around we will also arrange collection home afterwards! I can send you more details on all the pubs if you need them. Just down the road is The Jinny Ring (a lovely little craft village, great for afternoon tea & a mooch), and Hanbury Hall (National Trust Property). It is also ideally placed for visiting Ragley Hall, central Birmingham, Stratford upon Avon, The Malverns, Worcestershire or Warwick. The NEC is a 30 minute drive, an easy commute which we did every day when we were working. The accommodation is however, still close to several main motorways, M42/M5 and only a couple of miles from a town and large supermarkets.

  • It’s little wonder this lady is a superhost - everything has been thought of and as everyone else mentions, it’s the attention to detail which is very much appreciated. Very quiet location, very comfortable bed & cosy room, very hospitable host yet privacy-driven and relaxing. What’s not to like?

  • We were looking for a comfortable, peaceful few nights away with our dogs and that is exactly what we got! Such a beautiful place and so warm and welcoming. The little touches and breakfast made it so special. Thank you again for letting us charge our electric car! We will be visiting again soon! We highly recommend the Why Not Inn for food! It’s about 15 mins drive but super dog friendly and the hospitality and food was excellent!

A cosy situation prevails aboard the bus ,
The village of Gt Comberton is situated central for Stratford upon Avon , Cheltenham , Teweksbury , Evesham and Worcester , history abounds in these places from war of the rose through to Cromwellian wars . Walks over Bredon hill from 45 minute routes to all day circulars , commanding views over 7 counties from the summit of Bredon Hill that stands at just short of a 1000 ft . • We had a well needed rest staying on the delightful Bus, Very clean and Very comfortable. Had some wonderful meals in all the recommended locations with our last lunch being spent in broadway. (What an amazing place!) Michael and Lyn are amazing hosts and we enjoyed every minute of our time there. We feel very relaxed. Thank you again, Hannah and Oli.

    Oliver2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Michael and Lyn’s French school bus getaway was a really unique treat and fab getaway for a couple. Would totally recommend to anyone after a ‘glamping-esque’ special rural retreat with lots of walks and coziness. Michael was also a brilliantly kind and interesting host to talk too. Hope to come back again soon.

    Sam2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic space! It’s got everything you need from a fully fitted kitchen, cups, fridge (even a couple of beers in there) , plates, and glasses. Living room area has THE comfiest chairs, tv and breakfast bench. Bedroom is cosy and comfy! Amazing place to stay and loved the Aylesbury connection to the bus!

    Oran2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A really cosy space in a beautiful, but still convenient location. The fresh croissants and homemade preserves each morning were a lovely touch. We loved walking to the River Avon - it was only about 10 mins away on foot. We slept really well through two stormy nights. Exactly the restful break we needed. Thank you Michael and Lyn for your hospitality and friendly demeanour.

    Rachel2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Truly made the weekend special - As it was valentines, Michael and Lyn had arranged chocolates, balloons and Prosecco which went down a treat. The bus is lovely and So cosy. The croissants were a welcomed touch, and the preserves in the morning were lovely. We really enjoyed the casual chat about Liverpool FC too, and made us feel right at home. The electric blankets on the bed were great, especially as we visited during the storm- We will surely be back!

    Melissa2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Such a brilliant place to spend the weekend, the bus is so relaxing. We spent the weekend walking & enjoying the local villages. Mick & Lyn were perfect hosts and made us feel so welcome!

    Hannah2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The place is very cozy, the hosts are very nice and welcoming and the bus is beautifully furnished. Overall it is a lovely experience and I would definitely stay here again.

    Calin2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place, the bus is much bigger and cosier than we expected. It has everything you need, shower, oven, TV, clothes storage, the works! Michael and Lyn were great, very helpful, but didn't intrude at all. The location is perfect for events at Deer Park Hall, or is a nice quiet place to stay and drive to any part of Worcestershire. We would definitely stay here again!

The Old Piggery is a romantic and cosy barn conversion, located within the semi-rural village of Broom. Just 15 mins drive to Stratford-Upon-Avon, the RSC and Shakespeare's Birthplace and approximately 20 mins to the edge of the beautiful Cotswolds.
The Old Piggery is a wonderful barn conversion set within the grounds of our home. It was converted in 2014 to an extremely high standard and totally refurbished throughout. It is believed to date back to the sixteenth century. The original oak beams are exposed throughout the barn, with vaulted ceilings. Modernised sympathetically and converted into a stylish and comfortable holiday home. It features underfloor heating throughout and a log burner, perfect for snuggling up! French doors lead to a stone paved area and a shared pretty cottage style garden, where there is a bistro table and chairs to enjoy alfresco dining. Please note the paved area is old flagstones so they are a little uneven! It is self-contained and located opposite the main barn with a gravel courtyard area in between. The barn sleeps two. It has a cosy double bedroom with a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. The wrought iron king size bed has a comfortable hand built mattress and luxurious bed linen to ensure you get a great night’s sleep. The open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room also has a vaulted ceiling with original exposed beams, an oak floor and a log burner for those chillier days. The kitchen features a solid oak worktop, ceramic sink, integral dishwasher and washer/dryer, fridge freezer, microwave, electric oven and gas hob. The contemporary bathroom has a slate floor and P-shaped bath with a deluge shower above. Quirky touches include patchwork tiles above the sink and hand carved pegs out of reclaimed oak. Luxury towels are also included. The combi boiler provides instant hot water and there is underfloor heating throughout. We also have a woodburner, as you just can't beat a real fire. Inside there is a 32" flat screen TV, DVD player, DVD’s, Freeview, BT Wifi, Bose iPod docking station and books. We should mention, there is no smoking in the barn.
The Old Piggery is situated in a semi-rural village away from main roads yet within easy reach of Stratford-upon-Avon; Evesham; Warwick and close to the Cotswolds; Cheltenham; Birmingham and the National Exhibition Centre, all less than forty minutes away. We are surrounded by lovely walks, yet just 7 miles from the centre of Stratford upon Avon with the Royal Shakespeare Birthplace, the RSC Theatre and numerous good restaurants, Pubs, Shops, Markets.....over the bridge on the River Avon for boat hire, mini golf, tennis, etc. We are also very fortunate to have two excellent pubs within the village, just a few minutes’ walk away. Broom Hall is a quality steak house and traditional country pub and the other, Broom Tavern, is a gastro pub, both serve great food. Take a riverside walk in nearby Bidford on Avon, just 1.5 miles away, or set off directly from the barn. If you like walking or cycling the Greenway is well worth a visit. It is a seven mile stretch of flat pathway (with no cars) stretching all the way from, Stratford Upon Avon to Long Marston. As the Greenway was originally created from a disused railway line, you will find two café’s along the way, interestingly housed within old train carriages. Our local supermarket, Budgens, can be found in Bidford on Avon. Just a short drive away (2.5 miles) in the village of Dunnington you will find a fantastic farm Shop, which stocks excellent local produce including; meat from The Ragley Estate, a Fishmongers, fruit and veg and a deli and cheese counter. They also have a very popular café serving home cooked food, a garden centre and a gift shop. Well worth a visit!
  • We had a wonderful three night stay in the Old Piggery. Vanessa was the perfect host, very friendly but also very respectful of our privacy. There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival and lots of very thoughtful touches. The accommodation is beautifully decorated and very cosy,we especially loved having the log burner. The location is great for exploring the local area, a short drive to several National Trust properties and only a 20 minute drive to Stratford. Would definitely love to stay again.

    Roz2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely airbnb, a stones throw from Stratford upon Avon. Vanessa made us very welcome and left some nice provisions for breakfast as well as fresh coffee and tea. She really has thought of everything and her place was very well equipped if you want to stay in and cook, or go out to one of two nearby pubs. The space is a beautiful barn conversion in a big courtyard, very stylish, comfortable and cosy but with plenty of light and space - we came for the weekend but would have happily stayed a week. We will be back!

    Liz2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The old piggery is such a delightful retreat with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Having just stayed for the 2nd time I can’t recommend it enough.

    Helen2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful place! Super stylish and even more gorgeous than the pictures. We both said we would move in tomorrow if we could! Great location, the Broom Tavern is fantastic and great for a celebratory meal. We were recommended Hillers farm shop by our lovely host and we were not disappointed. Close to Warwick and Stratford which are great for a day out. Really hope to return one day! Thanks for a lovely stay xxx

    Lydia2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful cottage! My partner and I had the most enjoyable time and loved every single part of staying at The Old Piggery. The host was brilliantly attentive and so helpful with all of our queries. Every penny was well spent. We will definitely be coming back in the future and will be recommending it to our family and friends. 5 stars all round. Perfect!Perfect! Perfect!

    Hannah2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our second stay at this beautiful home. The piggery is a gorgeous getaway to relax for a cosy night away. We spent the day in Stratford and had a meal at the local pub (just a short walk away), then came back to the log fire and enjoyed the peaceful setting. The house is beautifully furnished with everything you should need for a getaway for 2. Thank you to Vanessa for accommodating us, and for the little extras you provided. We loved our stay and will definitely be back

    Geoff2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • A very stylish and comfortable conversion of an ols piggery. Superbly equipped with fully functioning kitchen. Highly reccomended.

    John2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is outstanding! The house is beautiful, the little touches make it. Vanessa provided all the food essentials and we used them all. We visited for our mini moon and it was just perfect. The local area is lovely and we would highly recommend exploring Broadway which is about 20 mins away. The Broom Tavern is a must for a good dinner and is lovely walk around from the house. We will be back one day to see more. Thank you xx

Weston sub Edge is a small village close to the start of the Cotswold Way, 20 minutes from the home of Shakespeare at Stratford Upon Avon, two miles from Chipping Campden and its Music and Literature Festivals, Broadway, Longborough Opera, Daylesford, National Trust properties such as Hidcote and Snowshill Manor. We are the ideal location for walking and exploring, so do bring your dog. Transport is essential as we are very rural and taxis and buses aren't always available.
This is a recently converted coach house. It originally housed the village's milk float, hence the name The Quart. We are on the edge of the quiet village of Weston sub Edge, just two miles from Chipping Campden which is where you will find the nearest shops although there is a pub, The Seagrave Arms the other end of the village, a short walk away. The Quart is a cosy, open plan home with a spacious kitchen/living room, a double bedroom and an ensuite shower room. There is room in the sitting room for a travel cot but no door between the bedroom and the sitting room. We are very rural and consequently wifi and mobile signals can be patchy. There is underfloor heating throughout and it is furnished and decorated to a high standard. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed with hanging space and shelves. The kitchen area is fully equipped with a double hob, oven with grill, kettle, toaster and fridge with ice compartment. The living area has a tv/dvd player and a comfortable sofabed with extra cushions and blankets. There are lots of books, dvds, walking guides and games for your entertainment as well as recommendations of places to eat and things to do.
The North Cotswolds is a very attractive area with lots to see and do locally. If you are keen on walking or cycling, there are a number of good and challenging routes around. The local towns are bursting with history and ripe for exploration. Chipping Campden marks the start (or finish) of The Cotswold Way and has a number of annual festivals including music and literature , and also hosts The Cotswold Olympicks. Broadway has a fantastic art scene and a brilliant deli. Stratford upon Avon and Cheltenham are 20 minutes away. Nearby National Trust properties include Dover's Hill, Hidcote Gardens, Snowshill and The Fleece Pub. This is a very foodie area and recommendations for local pubs and resaurants are listed in the welcome pack.
  • We had a lovely stay. Sarah was very hospitable and gave us great recommendations for the area. The place was very clean, comfortable and cosy. We would definitely recommend!

    Nicky2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The Quarts is the perfect stay for a weekend away in the Cotswolds. The cottage is spacious yet homely. The finishing touches (homemade shortbread, granola, orange juice, and bacon) were delightful. Sim and Sarah have such a welcoming manner and were more than willing to offer a pair of wellies to our friend who was mentally preparing herself to trek for hours in the mud! We will definitely be back - will be recommending to friends and family.

    Hannah2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely place to stay at the quart. Sarah left us lots of little added extras which were amazing touches and lovely to be welcomed too! Including a treat for the dog. It was a great warm house with everything you need for a weekend away (and more). There is great walks close by which our dog enjoyed. It really is a home away from home and would 100% recommend staying here to anyone who’s looking to stay in the Cotswold. Thank you so much again :)

    Hannah2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah's place is lovely. A great place for a get away in the countryside. The Quart is perfectly sized and perfectly furnished. If you are a walking type person - this is the place for you. Full of books and maps, the Quart has a handmade folder of many walks and great recommendations of places to eat. We had an enjoyable stay and will definitly consider staying again.

  • Stayed here as a surprise for my partners 30th! Stunning is an understatement ... the lodge itself was beautiful, there was even a little hamper with scones, eggs, bread and fresh milk. Outside was stunning, we went for a walk. It was very muddy due to the rain but it made it more fun :) We are 100% going to re book in the summer time as we would love to come back. Naomi and Mark were great hosts and there was excellent communication from the beginning. I would highly recommend this property, can’t wait to come back.

    Hanna2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Naomi and David really are the perfect hosts. From the spotlessly clean cabin to the lovely goodies left out for us on our our arrival. Deerleap really is a magical place. We spent hours exploring the woods with our very happy dog and spotted three beautiful deer! The sun shone, so we were able to sit on the verandah with cheese and wine:) soaking up the amazing view! Thank you again-we will be back! (Nicola, Nick and Saffy).

  • A wonderful cabin with plenty of room for four people. We loved the electric fire and also the bird feeder on the deck which was constantly covered in birds. The rooms are comfortable with cosy beds. They left us scones and milk and eggs which was a lovely touch. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

    Emily2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Naomi and Mark are the perfect hosts offering a friendly welcome but privacy too. Their little cabin is perfect with beautiful views and walks on the doorstep. I recommend Naomi's afternoon tea! A lovely bonus was to see piglets on their small holding just hours old. Will definitely return.

  • Would highly recommend this little hideaway, stayed two nights weather was not great but didn't really matter as it was so cosy and comfy ,our hosts were very helpful and friendly so would definitely stay again.

  • We had a lovely stay at Naomi’s place. Communication was fantastic with very clear directions on how to get there. The cabin is a homely place to stay on a working farm and has nice touches throughout and a well equipped kitchen. Naomi and Mark were wonderful and thoughtful hosts and a particularly nice touch was inviting our 6 year old boy down to feed the animals in the morning which he loved, especially seeing the 3 week old piglets and the lambs! I would highly recommend a stay here! Also we went to eat at The Why Not Inn locally and they too were welcoming and especially accommodating of all my food intolerances. We only stayed one night and wished it was longer!

  • What an amazing find! We attended Crufts and didn't find anything nice around Birmingham so looked a bit further away and so glad we did. Such a great location and cozy little cottage. Unfortunately we could not spend as much time as we wanted but we will most definetley come back and explore the walks. But I did make a video of your little pigs and the goats! And the pair of swans were waiting for their breakfast every morning when we got up.

  • This cottage was a great place to stay and I would recommend it highly! It’s in a lovely location and is lovely and cosy to come back to after a day out in the rain! Despite the rain though the location is perfect with plenty of walks locally. It was also very child and doggy friendly! Jude was a wonderful host and we are definitely going to go back later in the year!

    Home from home.
We are a 5/6 minute walk from the Alexandra Hospital. Just a 2 minute walk from the nearest bus stop, which can take you to everywhere across Redditch. We are in close proximity to the factories but far enough not to hear them. My home is on a ‘new’ (to redditch standard) housing estate. It’s close to all road networks, not far from the m42 junction 2 & 3. And the m5 isn’t to far either only 11 miles away. Locally we have an excellent bus service & taxi services are pretty cheap compared to the city. I can offer help with bus time tables etc. Locally 0.2 of a mile there is a little shopping centre, paper shop, take aways, pharmacy etc. But town is only a 5 minute drive away.

Everything you need including kitchen utilities, 50" TV with playstation! Modern bathroom and plenty of space. Franklin was both friendly and welcoming. Jane is the most accomodating air BnB host we have come across and genuinely wants you to enjoy every moment of your stay. We started our airbnb hosting in 2017 and enjoyed welcoming guests it is so interesting to meet people that stay in our home .My name is Jeanette (Netty) and after leaving a long career in district nursing i still wanted to continue to do someting people related. I very much enjoy looking after our guests it has been a real pleasure .Netty her husband Steve and 12 year old son Ben welcome you to our home.We have two rooms with airbnb this is the newest and smaller space we have listed. I recognised single travellers at times wish to keep their costs low!!My room reflects this in the price without compromising standards or facilities.

    Deren2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Where to start? The selfish part of me wants to keep this little gem a secret so that i know I can always get a return booking but in reality the world needs to know what a lovely host family Netty, Steve and Ben really are. They are all friendly and welcoming, the room is well furnished and comfy and there are a lot of little touches that just make it a real home from home. Netty and Steve were very informative when it comes to local places to eat and it was just what was needed after a long day at work and a journey to match. Would I recommend this as a place to stay? ...you bet i would. But if you chose to stay here, do me a favour, don't tell everyone about how great it is as I will need to book it for the next time I need to stay the area and I would hate to be disappointed. Thank you Netty, Steve and Ben.

Broadway is a beautiful village in the North Cotswolds, steeped in history and surrounded by stunning countryside. The village gets its name from the wide street, or broad way, that runs through the centre which was once the main road from Worcester to London. This attractive High Street is bordered with chestnut trees and honey coloured stone cottages dating from the 16th century and is one of the most picturesque villages of the Cotswolds. The broad way is thought to be especially wide because at one time there used to be streams running each side of the main drive. These streams were eventually hidden in underground pipes where they would emerge at 'dipping' points, but sadly they are now almost completely invisible. The village has artistic links with famous dwellers including J.M. Barrie, Mary Anderson and William Morris, who were drawn to the tranquillity of Broadway. It was here that Morris and John Ruskin pioneered the idea of the Arts and Crafts Movement which made its home in the area and went on to be an international movement. One of the iconic features of the village is Broadway Tower which was built in the late 18th century by the Earl of Coventry. It is said that the tower was erected so that the Countess could see if her Cotswold estate was visible from Croome Court in Worcestershire, which it was. The folly stands some 1,024 feet above sea level, making it the second highest point in the Cotswolds after Cleeve Hill. In fact, on a clear day, visitors are able to see 14 counties from the top! William Morris was so taken by the tower that he went on to establish the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings in 1877. Food & Drink Broadway has a number of places to eat and drink, with a range of cuisines and prices to suit most tastes and budgets. The list below is a sample of the options available: Russell's (www.russellsofbroadway.co.uk): Head Chef, Neil Clarke, serves modern British food in the award-winning restaurant, with local Vale of Evesham and Cotswold produce featuring throughout the daily-changing menus. The modern, airy dining room is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with friendly staff and laid-back service combining to create a relaxed and warm setting, day and night; The Lygon Arms (http://www.thehotelcollection.co.uk/hotels/the-lygon-arms-hotel-cotswolds/): A 17th century minstrel's gallery, a grand open fire and an imposing barrel-vaulted ceiling greet you as you enter The Great Hall, the main dining room of the famous Lygon Arms Hotel. A destination in its own right, people travel miles to enjoy the restaurant's 2 AA Rosettes for excellence sumptuous cuisine and warm friendly service of the highest quality. A few steps across the courtyard, Lukes Bistro offers a relaxing atmosphere serving traditional English cuisine with a contemporary twist, equally as imaginative and as fresh, using ingredients that are grown and reared locally, including a wide range of herbs and plums from the hotel's own orchards; The Potting Shed (www.dormyhouse.co.uk/potting-shed-restaurant): The Potting Shed is everything a Cotswold country dining pub should be. It's relaxed and inviting, with a large leather-and-oak bar and a rustic agenda. This is English pub grub as it ought to be: sticky ribs, great bangers, slow-cooked pork belly and fish that's been caught on our shores. Dress up and enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail, or dress down and bring the kids.

Church Orchard Cottage is a 16th century Cotswold stone detached farm cottage which sleeps four guests, in two stylish bedrooms, with a family bathroom. This stunning property is one of the oldest dwellings in the village yet has been finished to a high standard by its interior designer owner in a contemporary style with modern facilities which include wireless internet access, a Smart TV and a well-equipped kitchen. This spacious and elegant cottage boasts many attractive features including painted beams, a large sandstone fireplace with a wood burning stove and a fabulous glass roof lantern which bathes the dining area in natural light. Surrounding the cottage is the enclosed, south facing garden, well-maintained and complete with summer house, and to the side of the property there is off-street parking for up to one large car or two smaller cars. Church Orchard Cottage is located off a quiet lane in the charming village of Weston Subedge, a quaint village with an award-winning local pub, The Seagrave Arms, and a thriving village hall which has a lively bar and regular film viewings. Lying at the foot of Dover’s Hill, and located within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are many cycle routes and walking trails to explore from the village and Dover’s Hill itself also features on the famed Cotswold Way long distance walking trail which links Chipping Campden to Bath, spanning 100 miles of fantastic countryside. Weston Subedge is just two miles from the picturesque market town of Chipping Campden, with its wide range of cafes, pubs and restaurants to enjoy, and the much-loved village of Broadway is also just a short drive away, with its art galleries, tea rooms and the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway. Weston Subedge is ideally located for exploring the many beautiful towns and villages of the North Cotswolds, as well as further afield destinations such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle, Oxford and Blenheim Palace. Important Customer Notice: - Special Events: Christmas, New Year and the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival are Special Events, with bookings typically limited to weeks only from a specific start day If your dates don’t appear to fit, then please click Contact Host below to find out what options may exist for you!
The gabled porch at the front of the property is a useful space for storing coats and shoes, and from here, the stable front door leads into a small hall. The following rooms are on the ground floor: Living room: This elegant room has original beams and bespoke furnishings and contains a large sandstone fireplace with cosy wood burning stove, two sofas and a footstool, a Smart TV with Netflix access for account holders only, and a well-stocked games cupboard with board games, books and children’s drawing books; Kitchen/dining room: Through the internal French doors in the living room lies the wonderful open plan kitchen/dining area. This luxurious space, reminiscent of a Homes & Gardens feature, is flooded with natural light from the glass roof lantern and is perfect for socialising. This space contains a double electric oven, a three-ring induction hob and extraction bar, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine. There is also a washing machine, iPod docking station with Bluetooth connector, round dining table with seating for four and two armchairs; Cloakroom: Contains a toilet and wash basin. The staircase, with its ornate overhead chandelier, leads from the entrance hall to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Master bedroom: This stunning room has been smartly decorated with antique French light fittings and a panelled feature wall which contrasts with the otherwise light, neutral tones of the room. This bedroom contains a king size bed, a fitted wardrobe and trunk for additional storage, a gilt-edged mirror and an armchair; Bedroom 2: Overlooking the garden, this lovely room has a modern contemporary countryside décor and contains a double bed, bedside tables and hanging rail with shelf for storage and a bedroom chair; Family bathroom: A stylish bathroom which contains a bath with overhead shower, toilet, wash basin, heated towel rail and demister mirror. The enchanting south facing back garden wraps around the cottage, with miniature box hedges and an array of beautiful flowers, shrubs and mature trees filling the raised beds at the borders. An impressive date palm tree gives the garden an exotic feel and besides this lies the patio area which contains a large outdoor table with seating for four and a charcoal barbecue. To the side of the cottage there is a lawn area and the addition of dusk-to-dawn sensory lights around the garden creates a romantic atmosphere and makes it a delightful spot to relax in the summer months once the sun’s set. Two stone steps lead up to the summer house which looks down the driveway and across to the neighbouring farmland and 12th century church. Equipped with heating, electricity and a spacious bamboo seating area, the summer house is another wonderful area in which to unwind after days spent exploring the Cotswolds. The gated driveway provides off-street parking for up to two small cars, and further on-street parking is available on the lane.
The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.
  • A fabulous, stylish and comfortable cottage.

    Alison2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is so beautiful, even better than the photos. The interior design is spot on for a cottage. Really quiet location which is what we were looking for, but only a 10 min drive to the busier villages with shops, restaurants and cafes.

  • Had a great weekend stay with my wife. Great place to switch off from a busy life. Will return!

    Chris2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to stay - we knew from looking at the photos and previous comments that it would be a beautiful cottage but the attention to lots of little details made it even more special. Also incredibly peaceful with lovely views from both sides of the house and a short drive to the loveliest villages of the Cotswolds. We will be back as soon as we have the opportunity.

Situated in the historic City of Worcester a lovely period townhouse in a peaceful location 20 minute walk from City Centre and approximately 5 minutes walk from the University. The picturesque River Severn, cathedral, racecourse, cricket ground, basketball arena, theatres, shops, restaurants and pubs are all within 10-20 minutes walk.
You will be staying with us in our family home but your accommodation is quite self contained and you can enjoy both tranquility and privacy despite being a city town house. Guests enjoy having access to their own bathroom staying with hosts who know a lot about the locality. We have a picturesque garden that is viewed from the bedroom window and which you can sit in if you prefer. In the summer sometimes guests like to eat their breakfast outside. The bedroom is on the first floor up a flight of 13 stairs. There is 1 double bed with a bedside cabinet and lamp either side. There is a wardrobe with hangers ,a full size mirror and a desk with chair and lamp. A TV and 2 hairdryers are provided. There is plenty of drawer space and hooks behind the bedroom door. A blackout blind is fitted if needed. The bathroom is situated next to the bedroom and accessed via a little corridor that is quite private from the rest of the house. There is a separate bath and power shower.
We love that our neighbourhood has all the amenities of a small town, is within easy reach of the city centre, is clean and safe and has a vibrancy about it that gives a good feel. It's known in the city as St John's village, it being a distinct community west of the River Severn. It's a diverse community, with the university adding a young element and a good energy. St Johns has a selection of local independent shops, nationally recognised supermarkets, businesses and facilities. There's a great sports centre, restaurants, and a lovely park inside of which is a pub with lots going on including meals and live music. Sporting facilities are many and of a high standard. E.g Racecourse,(oldest in the country), County Cricket ground, basketball Arena, Worcester Warriors Rugby, Worcester Rowing club, great new Swimming Pool. We also have a fantastic library called the Hive which is worth a visit for the state of the art layout alone. There is a lot of history in Worcester and this is reflected in the local housing type , the public buildings and the closeness of the countryside which is less than 2 miles away. The beautiful spa town of Malvern is nearby. Birmingham 40 mins by train. Stratford-on-Avon 40 mins by car. We can easily get anywhere from our neighbourhood. We are in the middle of England near to a good road system and rail network and yet our road is quite tranquil with most of the houses having large gardens with lots of trees and a surprising amount of wildlife.
  • Warm friendly host with great local advice. Feel free to ask her any questions.

Jacqui was very understanding about my late arrival due to car problems. The house is within convenient walking distance of the city centre. I would highly recommend this home to others visiting Worcester.

  • I spent 5 nights at Ashley’s place and it was just what I needed . Somewhere to make as a base to visit my husband in the local hospital - just right for one person . Ashley responded quickly when I had queries and is a cheerful, helpful host . If you want a silent Airbnb then maybe you should think again as the footstep of the busy family above the flat might be off putting but I found it strangely comforting ! Thanks to all Angie

A quiet room overlooking the rear garden and offering a great combination of comforts and conveniences. You will enjoy a good night’s sleep on a luxury pocket-sprung mattress on a double divan bed. Whether you have come to Worcester for business, study, or relaxation, I have created a comfortable space for my visitors by fitting the room with a flat screen TV with BT pause/ rewind box, high-speed fibre WiFi and a dressing table/ workspace desk.
The bedroom is light and comfortable with a double divan bed and contemporary white furniture. It faces the garden so it is very quiet. It has plenty of storage space, both drawers and a wardrobe. There are black-out blinds and curtains. An HD television with BT YouView box (pause TV, rewind etc) is in the room. The shared bathroom is bright and clean, and well equipped with toiletries. There is super fast fibre broadband throughout the house. The room charge includes as much tea (a wide variety from black, green, white, roobuis, fruit and camomile) and coffee as you want to drink. There is cereal, muesli, fruit, yoghurt and bread/ toast, jams, marmalade etc for breakfast.
Very quiet part of Worcester. Small row of shops 200 metres. Friendly, pleasant neighbourhood. Worcester is an historic city, famed for its cathedral where King John is buried and for its Norman crypt. The river Severn flows through the heart of the city and there are lovely picturesque footpaths both sides of the river. Worcester is home to the world famous Worcestershire sauce made at the nearby Lea and Perrins factory. The historic home of Royal Worcester porcelain; there is a museum and shop selling their wares near the cathedral. The site of the last battle of the civil war was fought in fields nearby. Charles II rallied his troops from the tower of Worcester Cathedral. Worcester is known as the 'Faithful City' due to its support for the monarchy at that time.

  • I lived at Clive's home for an extended period due to an internship at a nearby hospital, and I have been really happy to stay there! Clive and his wife are really welcoming and friendly. The bed is good and the room is a nice size, perfect if you spendt a lot of time out and about, and don't really need that much space. The accommodation is a good distance from town, but the busses are easy to figure out and Clive has been good at helping with that, and to finde the fastest way to the hospital too. Would definitely think of staying with them again if I and/or my partner was going to Worcester :-)

This is a downstairs bedroom with a small double bed and own shower room which is across the hall. It has a walk in wardrobe with chest of drawers, mirror and chair. Toiletries, towels, linen, hairdryer and an electric blanket in the winter. Off road parking. I offer a light breakfast of cereal, toast, tea and coffee. We are a friendly household, a very much 'home from home'.
My home is in the countryside, near Pershore College, an easy walk into town ... Under a mile and your right in the middle of Pershore. Pershore has an abbey, a lovely park, indoor market, theatre, cinema, tennis courts, sports centre with a swimming pool and plenty of places to eat. I'm flexible on arrival times, on certain days....so if you wish to turn up early and leave your car to walk into Pershore then that's fine.....just let me know.
My home is down a quite country road, overlooking Bredon Hill. If you stand down the bottom of the garden you can also see the Malvern Hills.

Set in the vale of Evesham, built in 1904, our beautiful home & garden, with many original features, is a perfect base for touring Cotswold villages, climbing the Malvern hills, visiting Stratford upon Avon or local National Trust houses. Poor local bus services but regular trains to Oxford & Paddington Station, London.
This single room is perfect for anyone visiting to work in the area. When the main guest room is NOT occupied the first floor shower room is for your designated use. When there are other guests, the ground floor Shower room will be for your use only.
Evesham is a market town located in a loop of the River Avon, around the remains of an ancient abbey. Once famous for its orchards and horticulture, it has a beautiful award winning park and lovely riverside walks and a broad selection of places to eat and spend an evening.
  • Lovely home, very welcoming host, comfortable room and bathroom right outside the door. Who needs more than that! Would be very happy to stay again. Thank you Caroline.

    Michelle2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Caroline's place is lovely and so is Caroline herself! She was out when I arrived, but left detailed instructions on how to check in and everything was all ready for me. We met later that evening and had some great chats. Millie the whippet is very sweet and spent a lot of time curled up quietly on a couch. Everything was really tidy and clean and the bed was very comfortable, so I had a great sleep! Caroline's house is in a really great location, just a short walk up the street to the main town centre of Evesham.

  • Staying at Janes cottage was really nice. Jane and her sweet dogs greeted me after getting a little lost trying to find her home. Jane was flexible with my check in times and especially my check out time which I really appreciated! Jane is very personable we had the chance to chat and I appreciated our conversations together. Her home is very cosy and comfortable. The room and bed were perfect for me to get the rest I needed. She also made me porridge in the morning which kept me full into the day. I wasn’t able to explore the area as I was mainly there for an event in Birmingham, but it was peaceful and serene surrounded by farms and pastures. I would highly recommend for anyone visiting the Bromsgrove area!

  • I was very sastisfied with the accomodation. I travelled on business and I got all the amenities that I needed. The house is located in a calm district, so there were not any problems with noisy traffic. I got a big bed so I slept perfectly. My room and bathroom were sparkling clean (I spotted that Ben ivests in good quality cleaning agents). I would like to add that Ben's offer was very competitive in comparison to other accomodation alternatives. Namely, the relationship between the standard offered a the price asked was very good.

  • Can highly recommend staying at Ben's, he's very hospitable and even went the extra mile to pick me up after a show that finished at 22:30. Great to chat to and not forgetting the beautiful Blaze, who is a little darling too. The room was actually bigger than I expected and the bed was super comfortable! If I'm ever in the area again I shall be sure to return.

Top Cottage is a stunning Cotswold stone cottage, peacefully located on a pedestrian mews, yet just a two minute stroll from the historic heart of the picturesque village of Broadway. Known as “The Jewel in the Crown” of the Cotswolds and home to the famous Lygon Arms, Broadway is the quintessential English village, with a wide tree lined main street, which contains a varied selection of restaurants, pubs, tea rooms and independent shops, as well as art galleries and museums. The famed Cotswold Way walking path passes through Broadway, as do many other scenic walks, and Broadway is well located for exploring all the lovely towns and villages of the North Cotswolds, as well as famous places such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle and the dreaming spires of Oxford. Important Customer Notice: - Special Events: Christmas, New Year and the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival are Special Events, with bookings typically limited to weeks only from a specific start day If your dates don’t appear to fit, then please click Contact Host below to find out what options may exist for you!
Top Cottage sits in a short row of picturesque cottages, on a quiet pedestrian mews, just off Broadway’s High Street. The front door opens into the corner of the living room, with the ground floor containing the following rooms: Living/dining room: This characterful room has exposed Cotswold stones and oak beams, and a lovely fireplace with a wood burning stove. There is a flatscreen TV with a DVD player, two comfortable sofas, and a wooden dining table with seating for four. This dual aspect room has French doors which lead straight out into the back garden; Kitchen: A well laid out room, with fitted oak units and terracotta tiles, which contains an ceramic oven, four ring electric hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a washing machine. Stairs lead up from the back of the living room to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Bedroom 1: A beautifully decorated room, which contains a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is also an ensuite bathroom, with a walk-in shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail; Family bathroom: Contains a bath with overhead shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail. Further stairs lead up from the first floor landing directly into the second bedroom: Bedroom 2: A stylish room in the exposed eaves of the cottage, with outstanding views over the rooftops of Broadway out to the open countryside, which contains a double bed, wardrobe and relaxing reading chair. The cottage’s enclosed back garden is accessed from the living room. Bordered by a Cotswold stone wall and mostly gravelled, the garden includes a raised patio area with a table and four chairs, and an elegant wrought iron garden bench. There is also a stone bench at the front of the cottage, which catches the afternoon sun. Free parking is usually available for one car at the end of the quiet lane adjacent to the row of cottages.
  • Lovely warm and cosy cottage. Even in the middle of December we were warm and toasty with the log burner, piping hot showers and lovely bedding. Perfect location for pottering around Broadway with its beautiful Christmassy atmosphere and wonderful places to eat and drink.

  • We stayed in room 3 and whilst it was compact, for the two nights stay we were there it was perfect! Great value for money, the little touches really made it for us and Julie was super helpful. I don't think you can knock this on price and Julie clearly goes above and beyond to ensure all her guests have a good stay. The pub itself was also lovely with live music and great food with so many choices! Recommend the hand-carved ham, egg and chips! :) Thank you Julie and the team for a lovely stay.

  • I had a lovely quiet evening here outside in the paddock, sitting at the little table next to the caravan, with the swallows swooping around and the sun setting in gorgeous surrounding countryside. At 9.30pm, when inside but with the door still open, a beautiful healthy mature fox padded softly past about 10ft away unaware I was there. This is perfect no frills clean & comfortable accommodation.
