Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". Our lovely spacious apartment is part of a city centre Category A Listed building from the Georgian period in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town. The area dates from the 18th Century and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. All around you are cobbled streets, beautiful Georgian architecture and plenty of great cafes, bars and restaurants. It’s a very safe and quiet area, and just a short walk to the mediaeval Old Town, and to the lovely adjoining local neighbourhood of Stockbridge.

Beautifully furnished two-bedroom apartment in a central, but quiet, location, and within walking distance of most tourist attractions. If the hills are too much, a good bus service is nearby. The apartment is very comfortable - a real home from home. I live in the same building, so I'm available if you need help or advice. PARKING: you MUST let me know if you plan to bring a car BEFORE booking. The available parking won't suit everyone.
