Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". We hope that a stay at the Temple will deliver this experience and stay true to this vision.

The guest suite is a real home from home - comfortable for up to three people. It is part of my home but is a private space. As I live in the same building, I am available if you need help or advice. PARKING: you MUST let me know if you plan to bring a car BEFORE booking. The available parking won't suit everyone.

Private Entrance - Bright period apartment in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle. Sleek, modern kitchen. 2 double beds in the bedrooms and one small double sofa bed . The spacious flat has it's own separate entrance and is suitable for 4-5 persons. The 2 bedrooms are quietly situated at the rear. The master contains a king sized bed and modern ensuite with walk in shower. The other has a standard double bed and dressing area. We also have a small double sofa bed for occasional use.

The property has a private back garden in the shadow of the Forth Rail Bridge (now a UNESCO world heritage monument), and is situated down a quaint cobbled lane that is closed to traffic.
