  • Another wonderful visit to Meira's very special Desert Spirit Hideaway! Her place is the very definition of cozy, quiet, rustic charm, doesn't get much more authentic, tucked away in the mesquite and palo verde trees at the base of the Catalina mountains. I prefer simple, comfy accommodations away from the bustle of the busy city, where i can immerse myself in the surroundings, and Meira's has it in spades -- but still within easy reach of good services and eateries, don't have to drive far. Lots of spirit to be found here, and Meira is a very special, most gracious host.

  • Hello. Lovely . The Desert Spirit Hideaway is incredibly quiet, peaceful and nurturing. As soon as you pull in the driveway, you will know what I mean . The setting in the mountains, along with her sweet horses & donkeys is wonderful enough , but be sure to peek outside at night and the stars are so spectacular!! The room is spotless , cozy and has everything you need. It’s close enough to the main road to Tucson that you can plan for anything , north or south or you can just read and take a walk!! . What can I say , I loved it and the energy and warm hospitality that your dear host , Meira offers will just add to that loveliness. Enjoy! It was perfect timing for me 💕 May the same experience happen for you as well . :)

  • Another reviewer wrote that this place has the best shower in Catalina and I have to concur. The water pressure was the best in this beautifully appointed guest suite and the WIFI worked perfectly! Thank you, Meira!

  • This is an exceptionally clean and private space. Lots of wildlife nearby and also horses and donkeys. Perfect for our needs!

  • My girlfriend and I stayed a couple of nights at the desert hideaway which was a welcome reprieve from the city. Meira was extremely welcoming and generous! I can highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to stay in a quite, nature rich environment.

    Damien2019-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful spot. Nature and beautiful view all around with mountains and sunsets and coyote's to serenade us to sleep and happy birds (humming birds, wood peckers - one was feeding it's family in the cactus, quail/partridge and so many others) at the feeder outside our window each morning while we at our breakie. Perfect stay for a single or couple. Wonderful comfy bed, very clean and cozy, large bathroom with an awesome shower and all we hoped for. Meira was a gracious host who left the light on us each night and was willing to help in anyway possible but we were busy with family so little contact other then when we arrived and left. She's awesome and willing to make your stay as comfortable as possible and very knowledgeable about the area. We will be back when we go to visit family again. Love the animals. Very friendly. Hello to you Lady Bug, June Bug, Jazzy and Juliette. I can't remember the other one. Felt safe and cared about. It's definitely back to nature outside the cozy haven. First time in 20 years we saw a scorpion, a wolf spider and a tarantula down the road from Meira's place. YIKES ~ Arizona beauty from a distance lol. THANK YOU!!!! We'll be back :)

This quiet little oasis is 23 miles from downtown Tucson, 32 miles from the Tucson Airport and features beautiful views of the Catalina Mountains. It has all the amenities of a tiny house. Also featured is a spacious picnic and barbecue area.
This Tiny House has a gorgeous view of the Catalina Mountains. It is easily accessible about one hour drive from the Tucson airport. Out door activities range from quiet R and R to hiking, mountain biking or road cycling. The kitchen is stocked with the basic cooking items along with essential condiments including coffee, tea and first mornings light breakfast foods. Bedding and towels are included.
The neighborhood is quiet, some distance from the busy road, with the sounds of wildlife including a variety of desert birds, coyotes and the occasional spade foot toad if its monsoon season. Relaxing in the hammock during sunset offers majestic pink glows on the mountains. Walking, Bicycling or Jogging are easy activities right out the door.
  • Lynn has a peaceful spot, well maintained vintage RV, fully stocked utensils and necessities for your stay, and great instructions. I only stayed one night, but this would be a great place to enjoy longer. I have no complaints. Enjoyed it!

  • Very nice host, very clean and REALLY cute dog. :)

    Kara2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is one of the best spots in Arizona to watch the sunset and the desert come alive. Very nice and welcoming hosts, especially their sweet dog, Yampa! If you need a getaway from the city, this is the place to go🥰

    Lorena2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lynn's place is perfect for that 'camper in you' style stay. Felt like we were staying in the wilderness, but just 10 min from the grocery store, restaurants and off road activities. Great value for money, yet stylish and eclectic surroundings. Would stay there again!

    Kathleen2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • A perch among perches! First, I was surprised to find a modest, hilly outcropping amid the sprawl that has become so familiar as I travel around the Arizona burbs. Then, I was tickled to perceive that the Catalina Casita, which I approached up small slope of a driveway, puts you at eye level with the tops of the surrounding cactus. It’s an eye-to-bird’s eye view! The birds are plentiful, diverse and busy - a playful whirl of activity, rounding out and winding down with the owls at night. The camper was plenty cozy while it rocked with a storm that dropped snow on the nearby mountaintops, warmed by thoughful appointments that I suspect are accumulations of past explorations from when this rig was still in motion. Now parked, but somehow still participating, this perch is a perfect place to find new perspectives.

Come visit our small horse ranch in NW Tucson! You'll be greeted at the fence by our resident horses, and our ranch dogs are always up for a hike with visitors. You'll be close enough to town to have access restaurants, shopping, entertainment, etc, yet you'll have unlimited access to hiking and mountain biking right out our gate. Want to relax? Do so on your private front porch while enjoying the panoramic view of the mountains. **This is a smoke-free property, sorry, no exceptions**
This is one of two detached Tiny home/guesthouses on our property. It is small, roughly 250sq ft, but with great use of space, it offers all the comforts of home. Kitchenette and grill, high quality queen bed and linens, covered front porch with fenced private courtyard. Next to the main house but completely private!
Rural mountain community with groceries, resale and restaurants within a 10 min drive. 15 min drive to Catalina State Park and large shopping mall. 20 min to Biosphere II and zip lining. 40 mins to downtown Tucson where there is a plethora of great restaurants and entertainment!
  • We had a fabulous stay. Diane made our visit extra delightful. There were snacks, coffee with cream, and a bar of Cadbury chocolate. The space is small, but well thought out with plenty of storage. One thing I especially appreciated was the mattress. My husband and I both woke up refreshed from a good night of sleep on a quality bed. The view is fabulous especially at sunset. The Catalinas are magical with quite a pallet of color and you can enjoy it from the patio in front of the home. I highly recommend Diane and Jeff's place.

    Linda2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Captivatingly peaceful, beautiful and serene. We'll be back!

    Gail2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Diane and Jeff were perfectly attentive and greeted us when we arrived. Communication was easy and timely. The place was very clean and perfect for two people. We would definitely stay again when we are in the area. Absolutely love this space! And the view is pretty incredible too.

    Brenda2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Diane and Jeff’s place is the cutest and coziest! I was in town for a training and their place was the perfect place to rest and reset after long days of learning. Close to hiking and a market, wonderful neighborhood that is quiet and spacious. I loved being tucked in the foothills. Stay with Diane and Jeff when you’re in Tucson. You won’t be disappointed!

    Renee2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice, clean tiny house with a great view of the mountains. One room plus a bathroom but well appointed and functional with two burner range, microwave and refrigerator. Will definitely stay here again.

    Paul2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for a place that could provide some scenery, peace and quiet, and sun, but not be too far from activities. This retreat home was perfect! We spent most mornings outside on the front “porch” soaking up the warmth and sunshine, while listening to the birds / seeing wildlife and enjoying a gorgeous/stunning view of the mountains. The location was rural, but close enough to major roads that go just about everywhere in Tucson. A grocery store, gas station, state park, and restaurants, laundry, and churches are within 2-4 miles of the retreat home. This was our first airbnb experience. Diane and Jeff are “super hosts” indeed. They were very responsive to any questions we had and offered several suggestions on what to do in the area. As a happy coincidence, Diane and Jeff told us about the annual HUGE Gem, Mineral, Fossil (and Jewelry) Showcase that was happening throughout the Tucson area during our time there. We’d love to come again in the spring sometime in the future when the desert plants are blooming.

    Denise2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • The adorable little guest house is nice in itself - and the views, outdoor seating areas, and rural setting make it feel much bigger! The host communicated well beforehand, asked what we might need, and met us in person upon arrival. Even though we're local to nearby Tucson, it was nice to get a tip on a hike we hadn't heard of. I recommend this getaway for guests from near or far.

    Anna2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Diane and Jeff’s place is a welcoming, quiet, and charming place to unwind. It is conveniently close to the Catalina State Park, with a glorious view of the mountains. We enjoyed some great hiking. The little cabin is nestled next to Diane and Jeff’s home, so it feels very safe, yet we had total privacy. We enjoyed briefly meeting Jeff, their three lovely horses, and their four sociable dogs. Most of all, Diane earned the title “super host”; she was quick to respond clearly, and provided a clean, well thought out facility that exactly met our needs and wants. There is one room with a comfortable bed, table with two chairs, roomy armoire, bench, and kitchenette with mini fridge, two burner cooktop, microwave, and all the necessities (plus some bonuses). The bathroom has a shower. The water was hot; tank is small but reheats fast. There is also a comfortable outdoor covered sitting area with BBQ and sink. We stayed two nights and would love to come back.

Adorable room on the second floor of home. The spacious bathroom is shared with another AirBnB bedroom.
Safe and quiet neighborhood in the desirable NW side of Tucson.
  • Everything was straightforward and easy. The room was clean and comfortable. It's a good launch point to hiking, and I'd have stayed longer if I didn't have family in town.

  • Thank you for being a great host! I loved having a private entrance so I could come in late at night. Everything was super clean, wonderful shower, extra touches and amenities were very much appreciated like the kitchenette. I enjoyed the privacy, nice and safe location, and super easy check in, plus the price was fantastic. I would definitely recommend and stay again when I’m in Tucson!

This yurt is situated on the top of a hill overlooking the beautiful Catalina Mountains. The space is the 24 ft yurt AND the RV Casita. Both dwellings have heat and chilly AC . The full bathroom is in the RV as is the full kitchen. The Yurt has open living space including a kitchen but no bathroom. This is why the whole space is rented if the yurt is to be included. Otherwise the RV can be rented by itself. Abundant Star gazing, birds and laid back atmosphere is what you will find here.
Catalina is a small town located 20 miles north of Tucson. It is also 10 miles from the Catalina State Park which offers wonderful hiking trails and other events such as outdoor music, desert animal exhibits, and telescope star gazing. This area is also haven to bike riders (road or off road). Restaurants, shopping centers, and movie theaters are 10 minutes away. The airbnb is situated on 2 acres. Neighbors own goats and chickens and sheep and donkeys and when mixed in with a wide variety of birds and howling coyotes it makes for a wonderful concert. Star gazing is superb. Biosphere 2 is just up the road as well as the unique artist town of Oracle. GLOW happens in September and October if you love a night time glowing art party in Oracle at the Triangle L Ranch. Come stay in a yurt or a sweet RV and experience glamping at its best.
  • Terrific fun stay in the yurt and RV. We loved having a fire and watching the sunset and the moon rise. We would live to come back again.

    Caroline2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • If you've never stayed in a yurt before, I highly recommend it! The outdoor space was lovely and Lynn went above and beyond to make sure we had firewood and lighting. A perfect escape from the city!

    Sierra2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying in the yurt! Lynn has a wonderful and stunning space in the desert with numerous places to sit, relax, and take in the beauty of the Santa Catalina Mountains. Birds, coyotes, rabbits, mountainous desert landscapes, and quiet solitude. We're coming back!

  • Good location and a unique experience for a night out of town.

    Jacob2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • There should be more AirBnB’s like Lynn’s! We had the most wonderful retreat with our two girls, and can’t wait to go back. Our favorite part? Eating supper outside as the moon rose over the Catalina peaks, then sitting by the fire as darkness fell and my daughter played the guitar (that she found in the yurt), leading us all in song late into the night. Such a gift to have the time, space, and encouragement to be together, and a blessing to leave bigger than when we arrived.

    Megan2019-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lynn place was a great desert getaway. She has great hospitality, communication, and willingness to serve her guests. Her place has all kinds of things to do and isn’t too far away from Tucson. The view is priceless and the Yurt is very quaint. Highly recommend!

Rusted Fence Ranch is a little hidden oasis in a small country neighborhood not far from Catalina State Park and the National Forest with a well developed trail network for hiking, biking and walking. We are off the main road just a bit and completely fenced which provides plenty of privacy. The little ranch is open, spacious, private, quiet and has a great view of the beautiful Catalina Mountains. However, we are just minutes away from all the amenities one may need; grocery store, restaurants, Starbucks, Walmart, hiking, biking, etc. You can even access hiking trails right at the end of the block. Our neighborhood is full of wonderful warm friendly folks and we often have a ranch pot luck and/or campfire which you would be very welcome to join

  • If you want to get out of the city for a few days for peace and relaxing time, then this place is for you! my husband and i wanted to get away from the city for the weekend and to take some time to relax and we are glad to have found this place. It was quiet and we enjoyed watching the horses play right outside the studio. My husband loves to stargaze and he definitely enjoyed sitting outside at night. I have a very high stress state job and staying here for 2 nights helped me take some time off from my cases. I've started to recommend this place to my co-workers as well! This 900 sq. ft. Casita is nestled in the foothills of the Tortolita Mts. NW of Tucson, near the main house but with its own amenities, including solar panels on the roof, tasty well water from >1,000 ft. depth, speedy reliable wi-fi and internet-enabled large-screen TV. The views from huge picture windows are gorgeous, especially to the north and west. Native plantings are of >10 indigenous and exotic cactuses and >10 other native bushes and trees. We love it and think you will too.
Fully equipped kitchen, pleasant dining/living room with large flat screen TV, modern furnishings including Brazilian granite countertops in kitchen and bathroom, and a general "homey" feel throughout.
We live on a dirt road about 400 yards in from the main paved road. The place is quiet, and the nearest "mega-store" of food and other amenities is 4 miles away, so not walkable to it. We love the nature of the place, visited by cactus wrens, two species of ground squirrels, bobcats, javelina, coyotes, foxes, road runners, and much more. There are no rattlesnakes in the immediate area, probably because we have road runners and bull snakes, who eat rattlers. We think of it as Paradise :-).
  • We were long term visitors of Casita Como and we can truly say this is a Diamond AAA stay. Everything you will need is pretty much here and if it isn't, your hosts can probably provide it. Beautiful natural and native plantings that Bernd has worked diligently on to establish is here. Wildlife is in abundance, all you have to do is wait for it to come into view. Comfortable accommodations. Excellent kitchen. Yes, it's a ways out so if you are looking for active night life and things to do around the corner, you might want to stay closer to Tucson. This is a quiet, relaxing and beautiful experience waiting to be had. It was hard for us to close the Casita's door one final time!

  • You won’t go wrong here! It’s beautiful, quiet and clean. Everything you need.

  • Mel and Bernd's place is outstanding. The house was just absolutely beautiful, its location so unique, and there were so many little things that showed how thoughtful and caring Mel and Bernd are. They were excellent hosts, and everyone who gets to enjoy a stay will truly enjoy it to the fullest.

    Sara2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • This casita meets all the requirements one could desire from a semi-"off the grid" (or at least an out of the way) accommodation - solitude, wonderful owners, privacy, hiking trails, wildlife (flora, fauna - not parties!), etc. However, do not infer it's "rustic"; it's equipped with too many amenities to count: pool, hot tub, tasteful furnishings, superb equipment. The Airbnb photos are very accurate. I heartily recommend Bernd and Melony's (completely separate <50 yards?> from their residence) casita. Were I inclined, I'd have no trepidation leasing this full-time as a quasi-permanent residence. - Jeff Freeman

  • Bernd and Mel are amazing hosts! Their adorable casita is nestled in the hills with loads to explore on the trails or in the town.

This quiet desert getaway is perfect for outdoor lovers. Located 23 miles from downtown Tucson, it features a beautiful view of the Catalina Mountains and proximity to miles of world-class mountain bike and hiking trails, and renown bird-watching areas. Located in a semi-rural spot just off of Oracle road (the main artery between Tucson and Catalina), it has plenty of shopping and restaurants within easy driving distances.
This guest suite is one-half of a duplex-type house with its own private, separate entrances. There are two bedrooms, each with its own entrance to a large covered outdoor deck with a view of the Catalina mountain range. The kitchenette has its own entrance, a small refrigerator, convection oven, hot-plate, coffee maker, electric kettle, and washer/dryer unit. It is stocked with basic cooking gear, coffee, tea, and spices.
Our street dead ends about a half a mile from us, so it’s fairly quiet. Homes in the neighborhood are on 1-to-2-acre parcels and several neighbors keep chickens, horses, and goats. You’ll often see neighbors walking with or without dogs in the early mornings and evenings, so please respect the 5-10 miles per hour speed limit on the dirt road. We have an arroyo that bisects the property and serves as a thoroughfare for the local wildlife: coyotes, javelinas (peccaries, or wild pigs), bobcats, and raccoons. We have a strict policy of not feeding anything but birds, so please take care not to attract wild mammals by leaving food out, and enjoy all wildlife from a safe distance.
  • This is a delightful little spot! Pleasant and peaceful with fun decor and nice touches throughout. We enjoyed being tucked away in the desert, and watching the birds in the feeders around the house and off the back deck. The location is great for hiking in the nearby Santa Catalina mountains or visits into Tucson. Murphy and Jim were lovely to work with and we really enjoyed our stay! Catalina Craft Pizza which is right in the neighborhood is highly recommended for a fun place for dinner and music.

    Christine2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Murphy and her husband Jim are so personable and provide such a inviting space. Great amenities and gorgeous Mountain views from the back deck. Murphy always responded to all my questions within an hour and was so kind helping to orient us to getting settled. Their hospitality and special touches of home are the reason why I choose AirBNBs over chain hotels.

    Mary Ann2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome! Murphy and Jim are very attentive hosts. The home is comfortable, clean, very well equipped, and we enjoyed the backyard life. Even got to see a hummingbird!

    Sabine2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • I had a very peaceful stay in this environmentally conscious and beautifully appointed airbnb, showcasing the Arizona high desert at its finest.

    Rebecca2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place, very comfortable and nice host. Thanks!

    Ryan2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • The place is clean, clean, clean and the hosts are lovely helpful people. I really enjoyed walking around their yard and looking at all the beautiful plants and landscaping. They had great recommendations for local food. If I were returning to the Tucson area I would not hesitate to re-book the B&B.

    Sharon2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I spent three nights at Murphy's place while we were exploring the area for a home to buy. This was at a time when the temperatures exceeded a 100 degrees every day. I missed the fact this unit did not have air conditioning but was cooled with a water evaporator or aka: "swamp cooler". This system cooled the entire unit equally as good, if not better, than an air conditioning unit. Murphy has thought of everything from having chocolate treats and all sorts of tasty teas and coffee and a pitcher of cold water in the frig. Even the bathroom is stock with little extra soaps and toiletries that you may have forgotten to pack. This is a place I will come back to. It is very quiet both during the day and night. While here we saw a lot of rabbits and all sorts of birds and even a few lizards of some kind.

Cheryl has great recommendations for restaurants, shopping and everything. The place has great closet space, a great bed , a washer-dryer and it’s in a great neighborhood- what more can you ask for? Easy check in and a door code so you don’t have to keep track of a key! So happy!

This is the LANDMARK western style apartment. There are lots of fun things to do in Oracle. Biking, hiking, hunting, horseback riding, a variety of dining options, the Arizona Zip Line, back road to Mt. Lemon, antique shops, sight seeing around this beautiful country, A.T.V. rentals and more. We can also host weddings and special events. Or just kick back and enjoy the serenity of small town Oracle.
  • Carol and Carl have created a special lodging in an unusual and enjoyable small town. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment which shares the second floor of a unique historical structure called the Landmark. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. It's private, quiet, and spacious. We stayed for four nights and periodically ran into Carl and Carol who were engaged in various chores around the property. Chatting with them made our stay more special as they were full of good cheer and info on the local area.

    James2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t say enough about Carol & Carl, their beautiful, historic home & the apartment! They were so welcoming! I got to see a bit of the main home & the work they’re doing on it. The decor in the apartment is amazing & authentic. It’s like walking into the Old West. The mini bread loaves were delicious, along with the hardboiled eggs & juices provided. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal, if you’re so inclined. It’s very quiet & I slept very well. Thank you so much!

Our place is a quiet, remote setting up against the Catalina Mountains. You will have 2 miles of well maintained gravel/dirt road when you get into our small neighborhood. Well worth the trek! Our casita (little house) is spacious and sweet. We have a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable living room, dining area, study area, full tub and shower, and two lovely decks for outside dining. Gorgeous views, breathtaking sunsets! Great hiking, mountain biking, and bird watching right out the back door!
We have an 850 sq ft little house (casita) with private parking a full kitchen, dining area, roomy living room area, computer desk , WiFi, one bedroom, one bath, 2 decks with great views and lots of trees, peace and quiet. You will feel right at home as soon as you walk in and the views will take your breath away! My 2 horses will greet you in the morning and they love carrots!
Friendly, warm neighborhood. Everyone hikes or bikes or rides horses. There are no street lights so star watching is incredible!!! Very quiet ... save the owls in the tree some nights!
  • Great place! Quiet, with stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere. Our hosts were wonderful. Highly recommended, will stay here again whenever we are in the Tucson area.

  • This is a charming little house with lovely furnishings. Russ was a welcoming host. Perfect for unplugging. The trails were right out the back door. Catalina State Park was close by for birding and hiking. This is perfect for an outdoor enthusiast. As a tourist looking for a quiet place to end our day, we had to do a lot of driving, and the spotty internet/WiFi made it difficult to check availability on certain sites.

Beautiful desert mountain sunsets from this studio casita. Separate from main house. About 25 minutes north of Tucson. Acreage borders state land. Refrigerator, toaster, microwave, hot plate and coffee maker plus dishware. Gas grill outside. Privacy and a real southwestern desert experience.
ideal for just 1 or 2 or 3 guests.
We live at the end of a dirt road. This road has a small section that is bumpy and does have ruts so you need to go slow. When we have a heavy rain the road can be at times impassable. Luckily we live in the desert where rain isn't a big issue. This place can be very difficult to find in the dark. It may not be the best place to book if your arriving late at night due to the bumpy dirt road and that your GPS will not be reliable. WIFI can also be unreliable. It usually works great, but cannot be guaranteed. This is because of our location and there is nothing I am able to do about it. This would not be the place for you if your in need of WIFI being reliable 100% of the time. This being said, there usually isn't a problem.
  • We loved being out in the dessert in Kari’a Casita. The surrounding area is beautiful, plus the sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking! There are three state parks in the area with outstanding hiking trails. We very much enjoyed our stay!

We are located in the gorgeous Sutherland Valley on the west side of the Catalina Mountains. We are down a normal car accessible dirt road (1.5 miles) and 3 miles from a shopping center & restaurants. We are 7 miles from Catalina State Park (great hiking), 15 miles from Biosphere 2 (google), and 21 miles from downtown Tucson. The famous Fifty Year Mountain Bike Trail is within walking distance. We are in a very relaxing natural environment. We have traveled to 95 countries and welcome everyone!
The guest room has over 750 interesting books available for guests to read, plus artifacts from various foreign trips to view. The bathroom is with toilet, sink and shower. Google Home, radio, CD player, WiFi, ice chest, coffee/tea maker all available. No place in the Tucson area can beat the views!
We are one of only 43 homes in the 10,000 acre Sutherland Valley, so you really feel in Nature! Cows wander the valley and you can hear coyotes at night. We have a lot of birds. Mesquite trees dominate. Neighbors wave and are friendly.

  • A beautiful setting to experience birding and nature, with the hosts sharing their knowledge of birds, wildlife, and the natural landscape.

  • WOW is hosted by a lovely and kind couple. They have extensive knowledge about the landscape and wildlife around their home, and they are clearly passionate about the animals that share their land. We were lucky enough to see many species in our short time there. They have a beautiful deck for relaxing and watching the hummingbirds, and the hiking from their property was beautiful. I can only imaging how incredible it must be in the spring! CJ also makes the BEST berry muffins on the planet. If you are a hiker/cyclist, I would stay at least 2 nights to explore to trails. If you have T-Mobile, plan on contacting the hosts a few minutes before you arrive. No T-Mobile signal at their house (they have WiFi).

  • What an oasis! We felt fortunate to have found this eden just north of metropolitan Tucson. Christopher and his wife went above and beyond from their welcoming and gracious introduction to their home to the thoughtful and DELICIOUS breakfast items they had for us. Warm home made muffins, home made yogurt, fruit, a smorgasbord of cereals, coffee & tea. An absolute treat! Our room was clean and relaxing with the soft, soothing sound of the fountain just outaide to lull us to sleep in the perfect bed! The property was bursting with animal life and Christopher was so kind in sharing this magical space with us. We saw so many different birds, a Bobcat that strolled by the indoor viewing area, Harris's hawks, squirrels and gophers and the entire time he shared his wealth of knowledge on each creature as they revealed themselves to us during the tour of the property. Absolutely extraordinary! Disappointed we only booked for one night. This experience and the exemplary stewards of the sanctuary have gifted us with one of the best highlights of our trip to Arizona. We will definitely be back!

    Jacob2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is truly an amazing experience. "WOWArizona" does not actually do it justice. Depending on your arrival time, you will either immediately see just how amazing it is, or you will understand what 'dark sky' is all about. In both cases you will not be disappointed. Christopher, who you will end up calling CJ and Mary Ellen, who you will call, well, Mary Ellen, are truly great hosts. The morning breakfast is highlighted by homemade muffins of a new variety each day, but be sure to sample the homemade yogurt and ask for some chocolate for your coffee (or just straight off the spoon). Activity at WOW starts early - the early bird here really does get the worm, or whatever CJ is offering up to the incredible menagerie of bird life gathering just outside the doors. Birds from the smallest hummingbird to the speedy Roadrunner to the family of Harris's Hawks are all on display and enjoy the same great hospitality as the humans. All topped off by a visit from the local Javelina tribe - yeah a little stinky maybe, but very cute and all part of the local experience. Enjoy the breakfast and the 'bird TV' and then head out onto the trails. Whether hiking or biking, the trails and the views are breathtaking. Follow the advice you're given and you will have a most memorable experience. Pretend you know better, and you could have a much different memorable experience - heed your hosts, they are there to ensure you have the best stay ever. I can't say enough about our time in Tucson, the hosts here are incredibly welcoming and kind, great conversation, and offer a wealth of local knowledge. We will definitely be returning.

    Leah2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location! A bird watchers dream! The hosts were so thoughtful and attentive. They feed us a beautiful homemade breakfast with coffees and teas to suite all of our liking! We highly recommend this host. It was a total pleasure.

  • Beautiful setting, gracious hosts, and TONS of animals everywhere. First day we saw a roadrunner and a coyote, and of course Saguaro cacti to complete the scene. Mary Ellen treated us to a nice long guided hike into the Catalina mountains which are literally right out the back door. A great place to enjoy nature and good company.

  • This is a beautiful sanctuary full of local plant and animal life. You are treated more like family than a guest. Sip tea while watching wildlife chatter around you or cozy up next to the outdoor fireplace under the undeterred stars. Wake up to a colorful dish of fruits and homemade tasty treats and follow it with a quiet walk to a small secluded pond. This gem of a place will steal your heart!

  • Beautiful place to stay, nice and quiet. Felt like I was at home. So clean and had nice little touches that made me feel welcome. I highly recommend to stay here ☺

  • Ana and Devin’s place was nothing short of awesome. Both the inside and outside spaces were so well maintained, clean, and well-decorated. They added many nice touches - snacks, wine, breakfast! They responded within minutes of any questions we had. It was such a great place and a great value!

    Judy2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute Casita. They really went above and beyond with the extra touches. Fresh flowers, wine, drinks, and snacks. A cute welcome board and even the bathroom was stocked with over the counter meds. Wow. Definitely recommend this place

  • Ana and Devin’s casita was just lovely. Extremely clean, beautiful, lots of windows and natural light, excellent location, quiet, peaceful and well-appointed. Ana and Devin were welcoming and made us feel like personal guests. We loved getting to them and at the same time they were also very respectful and offered us privacy. We travel frequently and this has been one of our favorite Airbnb stays this far!

  • The little pool house / couch house is top notch! It’s nestled in a Beautiful neighborhood of Tucson.. where the owners reside. I felt super safe. The pool area is sooooo amazing. • Ana and Devin's airbnb was a treasured find for our stay in Tucson. It is conveniently located, both to the foothills area and Sabino canyon, as well as downtown (a quick drive via the freeway), and multiple shopping areas. The guest house itself has all you need, with a comfortable bed, clean bathroom, and functional kitchen. Many nice touches, from wine and snacks to soaps. Seating inside is basic, but you have access to two patios, one covered and with a large table. Their yard is nicely landscaped with a variety of trees and cacti. The pool looked great, but as it was Feb we left it alone. Ana and Devin are wonderful hosts, happy to answer our many questions. We will definitely seek out their place again.

    Remo2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Ana and Devin's Casita was the perfect weekend get away! The location is amazing and close to so many restaurants and recreational opportunities. The house was spotless and comfy, with plenty of amenities to help you relax. Ana and Devin even added a few personal touches that made us feel special and welcomed. The property itself is beautiful and spacious, we can wait to come back during the warmer months and use the pool!

    Matthew2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This casita is just darling. The hosts made us feel very welcome and comfortable. We will most definitely stay again.

SAFE SPACE DURING THE CRISIS- This Efficiency apartment features keyless PRIVATE entrance,it has it's own H-VAC system and does not have ducting to the main house. PARK at your door, quality QUEEN SIZE TUFT AND NEEDLE mattress , well equipped kitchenette with microwave , bathroom with spacious shower and skylights to illuminate.Perfect for 2 . NETFLIX on the tv. Quiet middle class neighborhood. 20 minutes from The university, 30 to the airport. Easy access to the interstate.
This apartment has its own ac/heat and does not share any ducting with the main house. Just the right amount of space for 1 or 2 guests , it is a small, cozy and efficient apartment with bedroom and living area also kitchenette and bathroom that features solar tube skylights to naturally illuminate the space. The bathroom also utilizes a sani-flow system in place of traditional plumbing, and it makes noise similar to a garbage disposal, but not quite as loud in my opinion, it is a small bathroom but it does have a 4 foot shower! The kitchenette has a decent size refrigerator with a freezer big enough for ice cream, a microwave, toaster and coffee maker. There is an energy efficient induction cooker (hot plate) for making scrambled eggs for breakfast. CABLE TV Control your own environment with the super quiet mini split system for air conditioning or heat. And everyone loves the Tuft and Needle mattress! This studio features PRIME parking just for you directly by your private entrance door. We are always available to our guests, your comfort is our priority! If there are any issues whatsoever please contact us so we can fix it immediately.
This is a decent middle class neighborhood on the NW side, nothing fancy, an older neighborhood with wide streets and houses that aren't stacked together too closely. It is close to the interstate and Orange Grove Road. We have lived here for 30 years and raised our family in this neighborhood ! With just a short ride through the Neighborhood you can be on a safe trail that Loops up with several trails throughout Tucson. Close to shopping, Sprouts Farmers Market is within a mile and just a few miles further you can find Frys, Bashas, Super Walmart, Costco and Whole Foods.
  • Terrific value for the money and in a wonderful location. Easy access to whatever you need. Very clean and comfy. The casita had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

  • Mary's place is quaint, comfortable, and quiet! She was able to accomodate me at the last minute due to other plans falling through, and the stay was far more than just a place to sleep when I thought I'd have none. Highly recommended.

    Scott2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • As a business traveler basically all I require is a clean comfortable place, and this was it. Mary made sure I had an iron and ironing board, the fridge was stocked with water and there was plenty of coffee for the Keurig.

Welcome to Casita Tolsa! We are close to La Encantada Mall with Shopping, and Restaurants close by. Our Studio Guest Suite has private entrance and parking, private patio. Local Art Galleries close by with views of every mountain range and the city. Enjoy the traditional territorial style, the wood beam ceilings, the patio, the comfy foam mattress/down pillows and comforter. Our place is good for singles, couples, and business travelers.
Close to La Encantada and great hiking spots. Amazing mountain views all around. Private patio. Includes 55" HDTV with HBO, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and many new popular movies.
Very private, quiet neighborhood. Close to restaurants and shopping, hiking. We are located in Catalina Foothills Estates and the home is situated on an acre and a half of Tucson's Sonoran Desert with unparalleled views of all the surrounding mountain ranges and spectacular views of the city and its lights from the private patio.
  • A nice and well appointed guest room attached to a beautiful home conveniently located near plenty of amenities and recreation. Took a long and pleasant walk through surrounding neighborhood that provided beautiful views of the Santa Catalina mountains and into the greater Tucson valley not to mention seeing some beautiful homes. If you need a kitchen this is not the place for you, however, if a microwave, coffee maker and mini fridge, like most hotel rooms, are enough, then I highly recommend for up to two guest.

  • Anne's place is a real gem! The suite is comfortable and the decor exquisite. I like the location near Sabino Canyon with hiking. I would recommend her place to friends and family.

  • This guest suite is an ideal Tucson vacation hideaway. My husband and I felt so at home. I walked out in the morning to catch the dawn light on the mountains in the background with cactus in the foreground. From this location, we easily traveled to Saguaro National Park East and toward Mt. Lemmon to take photos and enjoy the views. Anne and I were in touch by text as we arrived so I could find anything I needed. It was all very comfortable.

  • I loved staying at Pamela's! We were in town for the Gem show and the scenic views were worth the half hour drive to Tucson. The bed was super comfy! The room was beautiful and stocked up with snacks, water bottles, and she left us chocolates on our pillow :) She gave us a ton of privacy and messaged us to ask if we needed anything. 5 star experience!

    Tamarah2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Pamela’s place is much, much larger than shown in the photos and the bathroom is spa quality! It is very easy to get to on all paved roads and there was a vase of fresh tulips waiting for me upon arrival. Absolutely lovely!

  • We enjoyed it so much, we extended our stay another night. Hung out by the fire pit and threw a couple of steaks and potatoes on the barbecue and enjoyed some good company by the pool. We made a good choice picking this place. We LOVED the beautiful custom shower with so many different shampoos and body washes to choose from too, btw. Nice place.

I take great pride of hosting a quality Airbnb! My home is tranquil and relaxing and very clean. My home is near Catalina state park!
My space is for your enjoyment and you will noticed that my entire home wreaks relaxation!
My neighborhood is laid back and everyone knows their neighbors. We have lovely walk-able parks and real close to Catalina State Park. We ask that you respect our neighbors and no loud noise.
  • There are many guidelines to follow, but it seemed to me to be for the guests to know what expectations were and for happiness of host and guest(s). There are helpful notes around as well. I needed to communicate with my host and she was super quick to respond and very helpful - she also listened to my personal story about some touches in her home and even though I never met her I was very at ease with her and the space. I would definitely go back.

Enjoy Tucson from your private bedroom and bath in a quiet and secure NW side home. Only 5 minutes from the I-10 freeway and 20 minutes from the downtown convention center. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. During the day you'll see abundant wildflowers and birds around the neighborhood and in the backyard. At night the sounds of owls and coyotes mingle with a clear desert sky filled with stars.
My two cats, Angel and Rex, will be sharing the common spaces with you but are not allowed in your bedroom or outside. I've been gluten-free for many years - would appreciate you keeping wheat-based food "contained" in the kitchen & fridge. There may be results of GF baking experiments available for you to enjoy. You're welcome to smoke outside in the back yard or on the back porch.
I bought this house in part because I fell in love with the neighborhood! A quiet residential area surrounded by natural desert landscape, completely safe to walk around in day or night. It seems completely removed from a big metro area, yet downtown Tucson and the University are minutes away.
  • Lovely and calm home, beautiful area of Tucson for walking and taking in the scenery, comfy bed, great room, great bathroom, and sweetie cats. The best part is Jeannine, who is super-nice and super-super-cool. Stay here! It’s awesome!

    Sara2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Jeannine’s place is very spacious, quiet and clean and Jeannine was a great host. The room and bathroom are dedicated to her guests with books about Tucson and a walk-in closet with a dresser, extra blankets, hair dryer, ironing board etc available in it. She had a treat basket that included gluten-free choices. Communication was prompt and right on. Thanks Jeannine!

    Barbara2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend !! Enjoyed my stay with Jeannine very much. A quiet and lovely home, and for a foreign tourist like me, a great opportunity to see how Americans live. Area is very residential but supermarkets and restaurants are just a short drive away on Ina Road. Jeannine was ever so sweet and helpful in all matters. Working hard to be Superhost and so she will be soon !! People who don't like cats do not need to worry. Jeannines are very well behaved, and doesn't bother her guests.

    Jacob2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Jeannine was a perfect host for our two night stay in the Tucson area. She was very helpful and offered tips on what to do in the area, where to eat, and even where to go next on our trip. We would definitely stay there again, if we are in the area

    Daniel2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jeannine was an awesome host! Very friendly, funny and has a great amount of knowledge of the area. The room was cozy, comfortable and clean. The neighborhood is quiet, beautiful and safe. Jeannine made my visit to Tucson much more fun 👍🏾👍🏾😊! P.S. the towels in the bathroom are for you to use.

    Garmar2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying at Jeannine’s property. She was an amazing host, very warm and accommodating. Her place was sparkly clean and very conveniently located. It took us only 15-20 min to get to the convention center. Very nice quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed comfortable bed and ability to use kitchen and common spaces. We loved sophisticated, spiritual and peaceful atmosphere at her house. Highly recommend this place!

  • Beautiful place where you can park directly in front of the private door. Direct TV with local channels was a bonus!

    Rebecca2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as we expected and it worked out well. While the road is a bit rough, I thought it easy enough and added to the experience. I'd definitely stay here again.

    Kyle2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my time and found it to be very peaceful, quiet and relaxing. I also enjoyed walking and jogging on the dirt roads and the natural beauty and remoteness. There was rain and water on the road which must be unusual but not unheard of this season in the desert. We had a sedan and as I learned to drive in Vermont and Idaho I was not shocked by the road conditions. I observed that at least 1/3 of neighbors and others on the dirt road had regular passenger sedans but I do not recommend taking a low rider or fancy sports car on any desert dirt road. I hope this is helpful to other potential guests.

  • I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here at this Airbnb. I was staying in Tucson for the Gem show, but wanted to experience some nature as well; I also value privacy and prefer Airbnbs that are not a shared rooms in house etc. The space was cheerful with a comfortable bed, television, and a spacious hot shower with great flooring detail. Joe and Pam are lovely, approachable, and were generous to help me with recommendations and some help in working out some travel changes/ details etc. The area is quiet, scenic, has wildlife and even the occasional river.

There is one queen bed available in this space- very comfortable new queen mattress. Cable, WiFi, privacy, enclosed yard/doggy door, kitchen- microwave, griddle, George Foreman grill, toaster, coffee maker, fridge.
Best perks include- fully enclosed yard for any pet, doggy door, DirectTV (record your favorite shows), WiFi, please inquire about washer and dryer- in process of getting these. Laundromat very close. Our place is a clean, comfortable, and cozy Fifth Wheel Trailer. Although it is an older model, we tried to update the living space a few years ago by putting new tile on the floors, adding wood flooring to bedroom area, drywall to living room area, staining cabinets, replacing original toilet (still has a “trailer” toilet, but new), and added tile to bathroom sink area. We’ve had issues with cracking grout lines between tiles, we were disappointed that grout didn’t not hold up to test of time and a few moves- unfortunately, we used regular grout, not designed for mobile floors, end result- doesn’t look as good as it did. Trailer is sitting in the far corner of our 1 /2 acre lot/residence, with its own little fenced yard, door has built-in doggy door for any pets. We recently added a newer manufactured home to land, which is currently vacant. The far end sits along east side of trailers yard. When we are moved in, any facing windows e My husband, our son and I live in the smaller manufactured home farthest from trailer. It survived a fire that burned down our once beautiful patio, but thats a priority that’s being placed somewhat last- after our work of getting moved into the newer home. I would rather be clear about what is going on and our approx timelines here, rather than try to explain in person. Our final work mostly is what I call “quiet work” (texturing walls, putting in kitchen sink, etc, etc, etc), so don’t worry, no one’ll have to listen to “loud work” (tile grinding!) part of this setting up. Unless suggested otherwise, we leave the key in the lock of the trailer door around expected arrival time. We do appreciate knowing when you expect to arrive so we can set temperature and turn on water heater. Extra blankets and pillows are available, by request. In cold weather, space heater works great (additional heaters also available, by request please) and on hot days, we have two very good air conditioning units to cool it off quickly. We prefer our guests to only use the air conditioner in the window- and the one on the roof as needed. It blasts a lot of cool air and does the trick, but also wastes a lot of energy, so we just ask that it not be left on for long periods of time- unless you, using your own discretion. In the kitchen, there is hot water as long as it’s been turned on a while. The kitchen oven does not work, but we have 2 portable/convection ovens you can use to cook, just ask. There is a microwave, large griddle/skillet, toaster, coffee maker, and George Foreman grill. The 2 convection ovens are in storage building next door, just bring it in or ask us to get it (one is very big, fits a large turkey; the other is standard size.) Kitchen also has a small fridge, with little freezer that fits ice tray. The shower is not the newest, as seen in pictures. In order to take a hot shower, hot water heater switch must be turned on at least 20 min- an hour or more (switch located near corner of wall above ottoman, below shelves- can see it when entering in through front door)It’s an older trailer, hot water capacity only allows for at least a ten minute shower, longer if used sparingly. I recommend leaving hot water heater on most of time, if you like having hot water a lot. We have a BBQ- but it looks like something you might use camping. Circular style BBQ w/ashes that empty into a can, uses charcoal, but it does the trick- just please ask and we’ll bring over the charcoal, lighting fluid, etc. We are located in the small town of "Catalina" (but still considered Tucson), we are just off of Oracle Highway- not too far from the beautiful, majestic views of the Catalina mountains and Catalina State Park. Being at a slightly higher elevation, lower temperatures are unique to our area, and there are many popular hiking trails as well. Up the road is the town of Oracle, which is known as the gateway community for both the Arizona National Scenic Trail and Oracle State Park. For longer stays, there is a laundromat less than a half mile away. There is also a nearby grocery store, and large shopping center that includes a Walmart, Regency Movie Theaters, PetSmart, Best Buy, DSL, ULTA, etc (too many stores to list). We are about a half hours drive from downtown Tucson. JerryBobs right across the street, as well as many other locally owned restaurants. We welcome and love meeting all the different new people who stay here. We especially love when they are happy with their stay- which is why I do not want anyone to misunderstand or not realize that our trailer rental is not for the renter who treasures and values modern comforts and luxurious details. We do our best to make it as comfortable and clean as possible. But if you don’t mind living in a smaller space, possibly hearing the neighbors chickens crow in the morning, and foregoing the cemented sidewalks and driveways built-in to all the surrounding tract neighborhoods- then we would love to hear from you. I like to think we offer the best place for the lowest rate, but we are also willing to work with some renters request for a deal or discount- especially for longer stays, every offer is considered. We have some pet cats and there are different neighborhood stray cats that I see pass through our yard. Most of all, we like to stay out of your business as much as possible, but will always be available to answer any questions or help when asked.
We are very close to the neighborhood pool, this neighborhood looks like it has been here for a while- mostly mobile and manufactured homes, some more modern than others- while not the most beautiful neighborhood in the world, it is very safe here, crime not being an issue.
  • Very, very nice hosts, newly installed stairs, and a big television with DirecTV were the highlights of the trip!

  • Brittany and Jesse are friendly, welcoming hosts. The 5th wheel was clean and fully functional. The electric heater was adequate to keep it warm and comfortable. Also has Direct TV.

  • This RV was excellent value and in a great location in the far north of the Tucson metro area. Brittany and Jesse were excellent hosts and really made us feel welcome.

  • Perfect cozy space outside of the busy city. Hosts were relaxed and respectful of privacy. Very clean and had everything we needed! Would definitely recommend.

  • Easy to find, and commute from, at very north end of Tucson. Rooster next door, and Christmas lights are neat accouterments! Nicer and so much easier than driving our antique motor home. Look forward to future visit.

Additional closet with a mini-fridge/freezer. The master bath includes double sinks, granite counters, tile floor, and large tile shower. There is also a microwave, toaster, and coffee pot/coffee. Large outdoor space with 2 fire pits. Garage parking space available.
Large outdoor courtyard with 2 fire pits . I use disinfectant on everything including towels, sheets, mattress protector, pillow cases, and pillow protectors. I also schedule at least 36 hours in between guest stays in order to lessen any airborne germs. I have surface disinfectant available in the room for guests to use during their stay. I provide disinfectant soap.
There is a playground just a block away and access to honeybee park trails right behind the house. Honeybee park has 2 large picnic areas with barbecue and a restroom. These areas are about a 30 minute walk on the trail from your room.
  • Tracy is a very friendly and helpful host and her guest suite is like — correction, I mean, better than — a hotel suite! It is bigger than it looks in pictures and there are all these very nice amenities and touches Tracy put in that are most appreciated.

  • This was a lovely little studio. It was in a nice location, with a great view. It was peaceful and quiet. The bed was comfortable and we had a coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, and mini fridge. (The only downside was the lack of a sink, other than the bathroom sink, so my recommendation would be to plan to eat only simple foods in the room, in disposable containers for the most part.) We enjoyed our stay very much and we lucked out with a beautiful, sunny week. One of the highlights was a trip to the Kitt Peak Observatory, about 50 miles from Tucson. It is a must for anyone into stargazing!

  • This place is beautiful and just perfect. The views are amazing. I was here for a convention. It’s outside of the main town but for me that was the attraction. I rented a car so it was easy to get around. I’d absolutely stay here again.

  • Anne place is very nice , in a quite and nice position, we liked her place. Too bed was February and cold , so we cannot enjoy the porch and barbecue that must be great during warmer days

  • My family had a wonderful time at anne’s place. The place was clean and quiet. Also, Anne was an amazing host. she made sure we were fully comfortable at her place. she responded quickly and she was there when we needed her help. We would love to say when we visit Tucson again.

  • A great location for us! It felt far enough away from everything but it wasn’t. Loved having the upper and lower patio to enjoy sun/shade as well as the fireplace on colder nights. Thanks again for everything!
