A really great loft, close to the center of Roelofarendsveen, but a short walk to the lake and a nice bike ride to the green heart of the Netherlands. Highly recommended.

It is a great place to be. You have all you need close to the house. There is a bus that goes to schipol and the public transport is amazing. Astrid and Ed welcome you nicely and if you want for an extra fee, jessey or sydney can pick you up at airport. They are great guys.

Our stay was fantastic. We were first greeted with a fresh coffee and a walk through of the area with maps and explanations. Our room was super comfy, warm and clean. The bathroom was clean and right across from our room. We had breakfast including fresh eggs from their chickens, coffee and fresh juice. The place is walking distances to cafes and restaurants and about a 20 minute walk to the main train station to Amsterdam which is a €10 return trip. The neighborhood is super safe, clean and quiet with a real local feel which is what we wanted. Highly recommend if you want that home feel and well definitely be back!

Our stay at Aukje's place was absolutely splendid. Her home is stick full of worldly pieces and old Dutch charm. She is so friendly and hospitable as is her daughter and boyfriend Peter. They gave us great recommendations for both dinner and breakfast. Would love to stay again!

Had a very nice stay, Aukje is very friendly, welcoming, and always offered coffee in the morning :) About 5 minutes walk from the center with restaurants ad things to see. Right on the water in a very safe feeling neighborhood. Easy to come and go as you please. New bathroom was very nice. Room certainly is pretty small for 2 people with suitcases, as the listings warn. Be sure to check the “amenities” section if you do not, I have always just looked at the listing and reviews, which lead to some miscommunication. We read “treat the space as your home”, as we could use the kitchen, but it is not in the amenities section so we did not get to use the kitchen when we checked. Completely our fault and we still had a nice stay :)

The location is great, it's near the beach and you can hang out in the city, too. If it is raining day or you want to do something indoor, you can book the jewelry work shop with Aukje, I learned a lot while making my own ring, and have an awesome time in Aukje’s place !

Aukje is a rare bird of great warmth and energy and quiet intelligence, experience and kindness, also wisdom to allow her guests a sense of being at home without being fussed over. Great location-calm lovely neighbourhood by the river-a short walk of a few minutes into the centre of lovely Haarlem. My winter break was wonderful-next time I shall take advantage of the other facilities Aukje provides like bicycles and boat. This was a relaxed lovely place to stay .

Lovely cosy space, 12 minute walk from Haarlem station. Really comfortable bed, good shower! The place isn't very soundproof so you can hear footsteps and voices from upstairs and next door (but this is expected from being downstairs in an old building) Haarlem is a very quiet city, almost a ghost town compared to nearby Amsterdam! Its actually a breath of fresh air. Its very picturesque in places and you feel very safe. My partner and I used Haarlem as a base and visited Amsterdam, Leiden, Zaandam, Zaanse Schans, and Den Haag in our 4 days there.

Anita's place is in a great location and is decorated beautifully, a really cosy and comfortable stay. Also the check in was really easy and close to the train station and town centre

A perfect accommodation for two people. Close to the train station and in an unbeatable environment. The accommodation has the necessary equipment to avoid having to worry about anything.

Nice place for a big group, for 10 persons the number of beds are on the low/tiny side and just 1 bathroom, but the house is very nice...so no complaints at all! :-) We had a great stay

The house is beautiful and stylish. It is a great space for a group of people with plenty of room and comfortable beds. We had plenty of room to loung around, cook and eat. It was lovely to be close to the canal. We travelled in and out of Amsterdam a few times, mostly by taxi as using public transport meant a walk to the bus stop, a bus journey, then a train journey. It was easy to book taxis. We walked to the shop which was just under 15 minutes away. I would recommend the house to people who want to enjoy the space and comfort of a house while being able to travel into Amsterdam or Haarlem.

Simone was very welcoming and very responsive to questions/requirements. The place is very large and we had 10-12 people staying comfortably, all with enough room to do what we want in different rooms without stepping on eachothers toes. Place was clean when we arrived aside from a few small cosmetic dings, expected from an airbnb though. Kitchen was very large and nice, and location next to the river was pleasant. The travel to the nearest bus stop is about 10/15 minute walk, not terrible but not super convenient either, we all just ended up ubering most places. Beds are comfy and there is 1 master with a double, 1 with a double and single, 1 with a double and 2 singles, with a sofa bed too, and then a double out in the hallway, plenty of room. Was 2 toilets, both with sink/mirror, and 1 shower/bath combo with 2 sinks. Getting everyone ready in the morning with this amount of people and one shower was a bit tough but we knew this coming in, so good prep is needed! We stayed in the middle of summer so it got pretty hot but the house was mostly bearable in that heat actually, especially in the master room, it was hot but not unbearable. Loved this place and would absolutely book again in a heartbeat!

Aukje’s is wonderful! The location is super great and we loved fitting right in with the family life going on in the house. There are quite a few stairs but they did not cause us any trouble. We also love a house with pets because we feel even more at home! Aukje is a fantastic communicator and hospitable host.

A very warm welcome in a beautiful house of character close to the historic heart of Haarlem

Me and my partner stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it! The apartment is even more spacious than the photos make it seem, and its makes for a lovely space to stay in overall. The interior design is great, and the room is both very clean and comfortable to stay in. The projector and the notebooks are also a lovely touch. :) The room is also in a really convenient location, with shops and transport being less than 5 mins away. Haarlem is a lovely town to stay in, and a perfect place to use as a base to travel elsewhere (such as Amsterdam and Leiden), with good bus and train links. Daniel and his mother, are both really great hosts. They responded to all our queries quickly and were always very helpful. Thanks so much!

Very clean and comfortable stay. Easy, fast and inexpensive to get to Amsterdam by train. The host was friendly and guided us through the apartment. He even gave us a small guidebook for Amsterdam and surroundings.

Great little city. Will take about 40/50 min to get to central Amsterdam. Loved the place.

Daniel has a really lovely place, which was perfect for our anniversary long weekend in Haarlem and Amsterdam. We really liked the style of the space, and the little thoughts like the coffee pod machine and the projector. We also love house plants, so Daniels many plants were a treat too! Haarlem is a great area, either for exploring in its own right or for commuting into Amsterdam via the excellent train service. You can also get a bus from the airport which drops you very close to Daniels place. We thought this was a great base for ourselves. The best features for us were: - nice clean space, with a bit of an ‘organic minimalist’ vibe going on - great local bars, coffee shops and food options - lovely welcome from Daniel’s mum, and great communication - nice shower room, and everything in the kitchen that we needed. Highly recommended!

Our stay at the paradise island has been great! Between a little piece of calm and quiet to yourself, hot tub, abundant bird life and Greek like experience - we can only hope to be back next time!

This is without a doubt the most beautiful place we have ever stayed and somewhere we will be coming back to for years to come. We could not recommend Paradise Island highly enough! If you’re looking for a romantic escape surrounded by beautiful grounds and wildlife but also want a convenient location to visit Amsterdam and Harleem, it really doesn’t get much better than this. Our highlights included talking walks around the grounds and exploring the beautiful statues and architecture, playing giant chess in golden hour in the evenings and taking in the stunning views whilst soaking in the hot tub (glass of wine in hand). Lovely place, a little piece of heaven on your own temporary island in paradise. And all this in the busy 'randstad', looking out over your own pond from within the hottub, the space shared by your love and a few lovely duckies, even if it rains cats and dogs - like we had - it is one of the most cosy places in the area to spend the night..

Great accommodation in the dunes at the beach side. The communication upfront was super fast and very friendly. We stayed with a 3 month old baby. For us the floor heating was a little difficult to adjust as it was only in the bedroom and bathroom. With a baby we needed it to be warm in the living room but cool in the bedroom at night. That was a little too much asked of the heating system 😜 But we could still work around that. Everything else was awesome-even the food of the restaurant on the premises was delicious. I would always come back and advise everyone a stay

Unique and special location! Nice the gas stove, record player on beer at the bar. Close to Haarlem, Zandvoort and Amsterdam. There are quite a few cafes and restaurants in the area where you can go. In short, an ideal location to go with your friends.

The house is great. Very unique, and the grounds are spectacular - a huge Mediterranean garden with statues, pillars, Palm trees and exotic plants. It really is amazing. We visited at the beginning of March before spring. I can only imagine how beautiful it would be in spring, summer and fall. Be aware, it's in a very small town with limited entertainment options. Also, the entrance to the attic sleeping area is a ladder. If you are uncomfortable with ladders, it might be a challenge. It's in a beautiful neighborhood that's great for walking and there is a very nice garden center next door.

It was nice in the cottage. Yvonne is always there if you need help. A beautiful house where you can relax. We were really happy with our choice to go to the cottage.

A very nice and exceptional place to stay. A beautiful old Dutch farmhouse with a large living and kitchen area. Many cozy sofas and armchairs offer enough space for more than 10 people to linger. The adjacent park and lake are not only beautiful in summer. Bicycles are available and also a large terrace with a fireplace. Here you can really switch off and enjoy peace and quiet. Everything was very clean, everything is there that you need. As you have to climb a little steeper stairs to sleep, the accommodation is not suitable for older or restricted people. If you are looking for something very special, you should book here!

Yvonne was wonderful from beginning to end. We decided to take a very impromptu mini-vacation to get out of the city for the night and this cottage was perfect. I was able to bring my dog as well which was so fun for him. The grounds are like you’re in a fun house themed garden! It’s hilarious and quirky and such an adventure to explore. We absolutely loved it. The house was much cozier than even the photos showed. We were welcomed to a warm home, with all the amenities we needed for a night in. We cooked dinner, brought games, and played oldies on the record player in the cabin. A nice technology free night for my little family. It couldn’t have been more perfect. We hope to be back soon!

A super fine and beautiful Tiny house in a beautiful setting. We did not experience the Tiny house at all as 'Tiny' despite our somewhat longer stay of 4 weeks: there is enough living space, smart cupboards and storage space, nice separate sleeping place and (view of) the garden and nature is great. Interior is not standard and done with love for design. Received very hospitable and during our stay with questions good, friendly and quickly helped. Nice stylish tiny house in a great neighbourhood. Next to the "Kennemerduinen", one of the most beautiful dune area's of the Netherlands. Also close to train station, supermarket and small city center with some nice restaurants.

The house is a really beautiful and cost place surrounded by numerous beautiful mansions. It’s the perfect starting point for a long walk through the dunes and to the beach.

What can I say about my stay at the Hedgehog Cottage. I came to this country knowing no one and not knowing many things about the local way of doing things. I went into the Hedgehog Cottage a lonely soul and I left having a Dutch family. Mark and Marcel have been outstanding as hosts. So helpful, so supportive, so kind. The house is kept meticulously clean. Mark went out of his way to ensure that I was comfortable. I wish the world had more Marks and Marcels. People who are just so kind and giving. I will never forget my stay with them. It has made my transition to the Nethelands so much more easier. They were always available to give advice, to help when necessary and to encourage me finding my feet here. Mark's breakfasts are divine. Being a vegetarian wasn't a problem at all. Mark just accommodated me in his usual efficient way. So, all in all, my stay at the Hedgehog Cottage was first class. Absolutely superb. Thank you Mark and Marcel for a truly lovely stay.

Mark was a wonderful host!!! I have stayed in a lot of Airbnb over the years, and none of them literally none of them comes close to the hospitality and place you will get in Mark cottage. Like others said it felt like staying in a 5-star hotel with added benefits of Mark as a host. He was very thorough with all the instructions and was very prompt with his responses. Yes, it is bit opposite direction of city centre (from Schipol) but for the price and location, this is a great place to stay at. Even for the people who are coming to Amsterdam for the first time, he is a great help guiding through the city. Thank you Mark for the great hospitality again!!

If you don't mind a short drive by bus from the Amsterdam center (every 7 min) I would recommend everyone to stay here.

This appartment has a perfect location in Haarlem. We had all the equipment we needed and Inge has been available for us all the time. We had enjoyed a lot the big terrace and the nice view, it's a really nice and quiet place.

Lovely space close to Harleem. Perfect if you plan on visiting Harleem and Amsterdam.

The place was great! It was small but had everything needed aside from not having much of a kitchen (which isn’t a big deal as there are many places to eat nearby). It was nice and central to a lot of great places including Grote Markt which had many pubs and stores! Inge was very kind and was quick to respond when I had any questions! This place is highly recommended for anyone looking to stay and explore Holland!

Loved the apartment. Was huge and has a lovely deep bath. Excellent location as a very short walk to shops.

We had booked the accommodation for four and were there for 3 days. We were welcomed very hospitable and received many tips on arrival. We were very satisfied with the accommodation and the equipment and can only recommend the accommodation. If we go on vacation in the region again, we will be happy to come back to this offer.

The house is great and warm, it is in a quiet area where it is summer. The parking lot is not right in front of the house as we thought but it is a pleasant route between houses in the neighborhood and green areas. They have two bikes that you can use. The house is beautiful and is warm, you have to walk a bit from the parking to the house but is a beautiful walk and not long.

I stayed here as my first trip to the Netherlands and it was such an amazing space. Very private in location and clean neighborhood. The house is beautiful and very quirky in decorations but so cool! The host was very helpful for directions and came to help me when I didn't know how to use the shower while I was there. She was very responsive and kind! The house had two bikes which came in very handy. Highly recommend for families and couples/friends!

A very nice stay for a single traveller in the peaceful village of Heemstede. Kiek and Joost are lovely hosts and provided many useful tips about the local bakery, etc. Convenient access by regular bus services to Haarlem Station and Schipol Airport. The scenic Groenendaal Park and Garden is also only a few minutes walk away.

The warmest room with fabulous amenities I have ever stayed. It is not very big but has everything you might need. Kiek's house is full of love and makes me feel like home. A wonderful experience!

It was an absolute pleasure staying at this Kiek's room. It is exactly as shown in the pictures, extremely stylish and sparkling clean! Kiek was very hospitable and made sure I had a great stay. A great choice if you don't want to stay in the bustle of a big city!

Johan provided us with his bedroom and a nursery for the night. The rooms were clean and functional. In the kitchen we were allowed to cook coffee. Johan is a friendly and reserved host, who has tried to answer our questions and helped us with helpful hints. Thank you very much.

Johan‘s house is very beautiful and stylish. He was a very nice host and helped us with several questions and request. Overall we felt very well. The location is perfect for a trip to the Linnaeushof.

Johan's house is light & spacious. It's well located in quiet surroundings backing onto a tree lined canal with a small private garden. Just great !

We looked for a stay close to Schiphol‘s airport. Johan’s is perfect for that. Not far away and really quite place. We really loved the layout of Johan’s house: even next to a canal! Lovely! As well we recommend the restaurant called Zen - 5 minutes by walking. Thanks again Johan - who was not present and communicated very well via AirbnB posts.

Very gracious and flexible hosts. My flight times were both early arriving, and late leaving and they allowed me to store my luggage, Bernice welcoming me inside to a lovely cappuccino and their kitchen table where they allowed me to work and gave me great recommendations for the area. Nothing short of exceptional hospitality throughout my stay, both are affable in sharing their home. Bernice has great artistic attention to detail, reflected in the beautiful decor throughout the house. It was really lovely to stay here and contributed greatly to a happy, short vacation to Amsterdam. I felt very welcomed and would return someday.

Bernice and Danny were very helpful! They gave me suggestions for activities in the area and were quick to warn me the train line was not running during my trip to their home. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable!

I stayed here for about a week and needless to say it was one of the best weeks in my life! The house is extremely clean, warm and cosy and always feels like a home when you come back to it. Bernice and her spouse are very nice and lovely people, I got to use their bikes to explore the area and Bernice was even king enough to take me to the airport. The house is also in a really good spot being close to the station and also just a 15 minute bike ride to the beach. If you ever need a place to stay in the Netherlands I highly recommend here :)

We had a perfect time in this accomodation and that too. It was very clean and everything was available, shower gel, towels and bathrobes. The nearest supermarket is only about 5 minutes. within walking distance. The nearest bus stop is about 8 minutes. away. By bus you can reach Harlem in about 20 minutes.

Had a lovely stay in Zandvoort despite the wet and windy weather! The room is simple but ticks all the boxes for a getaway.

Donna and her husband were very welcoming. We enjoyed staying in the house. We stayed 5 days and our flight has been cancelled twice because of the weather but Donna managed to postpone our stay so we didn’t lost our money or any day. It was very very very kind of her. The AIRBNB look like the pictures. It’s true that it is cold there but don’t worry you will not be cold during the night. Just make sure to bring slippers. I will recommend 100%. Donna’s art is stunning. It is nice of her to put it in the airbnb so we can enjoy it and know a little bit more about her. You will find nice stuff such as books, mandala, colored pencils etc. Thank you again for the stay 🧡

The place is really comfortable. Very close to the train station, that saved us a huge amount of time to move anywhere in the nearby area, and even close to Amsterdam. I fully recommend this place!

We had a very nice time in this studio! It is small but well organized and furnished, perfect for a couple. Very well located in Zandvoort, must be even more amazing in summer! We didn't get the chance to meet Donna but she had organized for an easy check in and check out

We really loved to stay at EmMas place! It was just a short walk from the beach, the neighbourhood super quiete and our host very welcoming and friendly. We appreciated the coffee machine, the frigde and the bathtub! :) Would come back any time!

Amazing place

Emma was absolutely amazing!! We stayed a week in Amsterdam so it was really nice getting to stay in Zandvoort as well and experience the beach apart from the city. Emma was also very kind and helpful when we asked questions, and we learned how to use the train on the very first day. The room and the bathroom were also very beautiful and cozy. I definitely recommend this place!

Maria's house was the most magnificent place I have ever been to. The area is 20-30 minutes away from the airport which is a perfect hub for getting anywhere in Amsterdam, and the bus system is efficient. From the moment I walked into the house I felt welcome and was given a pot of tea and some biscuits. In the morning I was left a nice, filling breakfast, perfect to get me going for the day. Maria treats you like family, which made me feel even better since I was travelling alone.

Maria is an absolutely fantastic host, kind and incredibly helpful. My experience staying there has been superb in all aspects. Highly recommanded!

This option turned out to be the best of the kind that I came across. Nice, quiet, clean area. Very good house, with a good interior. The description on the site is completely true. The room is cozy, clean, bright, window with full-length curtains, good furniture, comfortable bed, Desk with table lamp, chair, wardrobe, refrigerator, electric kettle, coffee, tea, cookies. In General, there is everything you need for a comfortable stay. Room with shower and separate toilet in perfect condition. There is a strong wooden staircase between the floors. There is Wi-Fi and free parking in front of the house. Opposite the house is a beautiful canal where ducks swim. Within walking distance of the house there is a supermarket and a bus stop that takes you to Amsterdam, Schiphol airport, Haarlem, Hoofddorp. The bus service interval is about 10 minutes. Thanks to the convenient location of the house relative to the largest cities in the country, during these 8 days I was able to get acquainted with the main sights of Amsterdam, Den Haag, Rotterdam, Haarlem, Zaandam and other cities. But my impressions of the Netherlands would have been incomplete and not so vivid if it had not been for my acquaintance with the mistress of the house, Maria. Very hospitable, friendly, friendly, cheerful, beautiful woman, interesting conversationalist. I got a real pleasure from communicating with her. Staying with Maria has been one of my most memorable and wonderful experiences in the Netherlands. The room on top was clean, comfortable with sunshine and stunning aerial views. The town itself is a quiet place with clean air and surroundings and greenery all around. Daily commodities are easily available in the supermarket nearby. Bus services to Amsterdam, Schiphol, Haarlem and beyond are frequent. Maria was very helpful, jubilant, exuding warmth, care and interest . She has a beautiful home, and a colourful garden. I had a lovely stay.

I had a very pleasant stay at Sky's apartment. Both her and her son are very welcoming and willing to help with what they can. Highly recommend.

This spot is in a great location and ideal for someone who plans to be out and about exploring Haarlem all day! Only 15 min walk to lots of shops, museums, and restaurants.

A nice homely stay. the owner was really lovely and the Airbnb is located close from the Grote Markt in Haarlem and from the train station, which can take you to Amsterdam in less than 20 minutes.

Plenty of room to sleep in a small upstairs bedroom. About 10-15 minute walk to various parts of downtown Haarlem, and you can stay along the river so it’s hard to get lost. They have a friendly cat.

The location is great, but the space and friendliness of Sky is a great memory, feels really like a home away from home. Very nice home library to admire, and view from the private room window is amazing, fantastic to wake up and look out, or even admire lights at night before sleep. Highly recommended.
