Monthly Rentals in Rumohr

We (2 families, total 4 adults, 4 children from 8 months to 5 years) had a very nice weekend at Silke and Birte in Schierensee. The place is very cute and the house as described. It has a nice large garden, very comfortable beds, 2 bathrooms with a toilet and shower. Everything was well maintained and the kitchen very well equipped. The swimming spot at Lake Schieren, which can be reached on foot in 5 minutes, was a great place for a warm summer day. The nice kiosk sells delicious ice cream, among other things. The personal contact with Silke and Birthe next door was very friendly and helpful. Maren also provided us with all the necessary information in advance and in between. An all-round beautiful experience, we'd love to come back!

We felt very comfortable. The house has a charismatic charm. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed a wonderful 11 night stay in Gut Marutendorf. Our apartment was a 2 bedroom unit on the second floor with a small kitchen and a bathroom. The view from all rooms was over the beautifully manicured bucolic grounds. Staying in Gut M. gives you access to the extensive nature trails of the Westensee nature preserve. This nature area includes some of the few old growth forests in Northern Germany as well as moors and fields. In the late spring, the scenery was incredibly beautiful. The ancient oaks along the paths directly in the property alone are worthy of the trip. During the bulk of our stay, we were able to soak in the beautiful environment in solitude, though the very social barnyard cats provided amusing company. Gut M. is a perfect example of the under appreciated beauty of N. German countryside, only a few miles from Kiel. It provides a beautifully maintained sylvan location for a very affordable price. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in a peaceful vacation.

I had planned a four-week stay… The reception was very friendly, simple and with a small instruction. Cornelis and Gisa were two wonderful hosts, who went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and have everything I need… And still left a big level of privacy. The hunting lodge is small but very nice, right in the middle of an idyllic garden and not far from the horses and surrounded by pear, plum and apple trees… With a wonderful, soothing tranquility... It was just a perfect stay!
