The cabin is located about 1.5 hours from Trolltunga, about 1 hour to Folgefonn ski center or a small ferry ride across Hardangerfjorden to Rosendal where you can visit the Barony or take a trip to the top of the mountain Melderskin. The place is about 1.5 hours from Bergen/Flesland airport.

Leave the car, put on your hiking shoes and take the trip up to Bondhus lake (35 min walk), Gardshammar 745 m above sea level (2 h walk), Breidablikk or Fonnabu v/Folgefonna! Otherwise, there is an opportunity to relax on one of the terraces overlooking the Bondhus glacier or Mauranger fjord. 20 min drive to Odda and 30 min to Rosendal. Trolltunga parking about 1h15min by car.

The hike to Melderskin 1426 m starts in walking distance from the house. After the hike you can take a swim in Hardangerfjorden. 1 hour drive away are Odda and Trolltunga.

The cabin is handmade and a lot of timber has been used. Some of it is also recycled. There is also a wood-fired sauna and a hot tub on the property. To use this facility, you can contact the host or go to the reception to book. There is an extra charge for this.
