From the windows to the courtyard, the border mountains to Lower Franconia can be seen, e.g. Dammersfeld, Beilstein and Eierhauck. From here, many well-known excursion destinations can be quickly reached. For example, Wasserkuppe, Kreuzberg, Fulda, Bad Neustadt or Würzburg, as well as hiking and bike trails. Horseback riding is possible in the neighboring village.

Good starting point for hikes to the Kickelhahn, to the Bobhütte, Gabelbach or Rennsteig, for bike rides on the Ilmradweg or individually, motorized for tourist destinations in Thuringia

At night you will find complete tranquility, because there is no main road here. On request, there are eggs from our own chickens or what the garden has to offer. The in the inside renovated house is more than 100 yrs old and is located on our organic farm with a small farmer´s shop. Our home is located in franconia: known for its tasty cheap food, an amazing nature and our historically important and our beautiful city Bamberg. By all means of transport (car, bike, train) you can easily reach city and nature. The self-checkin gives you great flexibility. Everyone, no matter from which culture or country is more than welcome!

Guest house on the Schleusehof... enjoy nature!

Our guest house (about 89 m) is located on our mini-farm, which we run as a hobby. The Schleusehof is idyllically located on a small river, where you can cool your feet on hot days. The house sleeps 4 people (2 adults + 2 children). On request, we also have a baby cot for the little ones. The farm offers space to romp and relax. It is located on the first floor, is fully equipped, free parking spaces are also right by the house. The apartment sleeps up to three people. One bedroom with double bed (190 x 200 cm) and for a third person a sofa bed.
