Holiday houses in Rappahannock River

The location is truly as beautiful as the photos show. So many special touches from decor to the spa like bathroom made the stay extra cozy. The house is extremely well stocked, especially the kitchen and the shed! We loved kayaking. Much more shallow than we anticipated which for us was perfect. The stars were visible while in the hot tub at night. We loved all the available spots to sit and relax. We used the fire pit to stay warm one morning while enjoying the sunrise with our coffee. We used the grill for dinner one night as well as dining out at the recommended local spots. The only minor inconveniences were not having screens on the sliding doors, running out of toilet paper (but the DG grocery is close) and the WiFi went out and Robert never responded to my texts. (I was able to locate and restart the router on my own.) All in all it was a wonderful spot for a quick getaway to unwind!

We had a wonderful weekend get away. Cape Charles and The house were perfect.

Maria was very communicative and hospitable before and during our stay for anything we had questions about. The house was charming and was the perfect cozy stay during our March weekend at cape Charles! The beds are very comfy! Wish we stayed longer to enjoy more!

Cheryl’s stay was so peaceful, comfortable and fun — even before pool season started. We could not believe how large the yard was and how quiet it was. Amazing wildlife. We saw bald eagles, heron, geese and lots of ducks! The house was squeaky clean and had everything we needed. We watched the stars at night and slept soundly. Downtown St. Michael’s is only about 10 minutes away and full of fun things to do. We’re so happy to be acquainted with the area after staying at Cheryl’s!

Fantastic place - about 20-25 minutes from the national park and great spot for other places to visit in the area. Family friendly with a host and property manager who were very helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this AIRBNB. It was walking distance to a nice Mexican Restaurant as well as to a brewery. We spent hours on the front porch in the nice rocking chairs. The back of the property overlooked the water which was beautiful! It was close to everything in town! The house was clean and had all of the necessities. We also enjoyed the front sitting area during the morning. The owner was responsive and helpful! We would definitely recommend this property.

The place was private and extremely beautiful. I loved every bit about being out there at the Ecapes and would recommend it to anybody that is looking for a relaxing get away from any hustle and bustle.

Michael's place was perfect for our spring break getaway. I really liked the laid back beach vibe and how kid friendly the house was. The kids were able to walk to beach themselves and had a great time on the trampoline! We loved seeing who could find the most shark teeth.

The stay was nice for our honeymoon in April we stayed for a week,we visted luray most of our trip. As it says in her information guide, be prepared for the ride up the mountain, it is 8 minutes from the main road and you will need 4WD and it's extremely bumpy and the driveway as well. Also be preared for a gravel steep path up to the main door which is located in the back. For us it wasn't a huge issue since we had the truck. Also we forgot to prepare for bugs which is our fault, on warmer days even when it's 60s the Nats, bees, and ticks were terrible even with a little wind, our dog had 8 tics on him the 1st night unfortunately. The views from the house were great of the mountains and only 20 minutes from Luray Caverns and town.
