Misty Mountain Hut-Ruapehu is located in the sleepy little village of Rangataua, 5 minutes distance to Mountain road going up to the Turoa skifield and Ohakune. The 1 bedroom colonial villa has a beautiful view of the mountain. Unlimited wifi and a new firebox with plenty of firewood and a heat pump ensure you are warm in winter. My favourite time here is summer for amazing walks/cycling up mountains to enjoy majestic views. Misty Mountain Hut supports local staff by paying $40/hr for cleaning.

This modern ground level, cosy & quiet apartment opens to a north facing Zen Garden soon to be completed by a local landscaper. The queen bed is noted as extremely comfortable with luxury cotton, wool & down linen with an electric blanket in winter.
