Darley Abbey Mills Cottage

This 1840 Mill Cottage is ideally located for strolling to Darley Abbey Mills, now an exclusive wedding venue with its Michelin listed restaurant, wine bars and Spanish tapas. Located on the banks of the Derwent it's exceptionally placed to walk by the river to Derby cathedral. Fabulous Grade 2 Listed Cottage

This unique grade 2 listed cottage was built in circa 1790. It was originally one of 5 cottages for workers of the cotton mill next door whose chimney is still standing (almost in the back garden!). This is said to be part of the oldest sloping roofed terrace left in the world. The property still has some original features including the red and black tiled floor in the living room and original stone fireplaces. The cottage has been lovingly restored and has all the space and comforts you need.
