Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Portpatrick

Kirkcudbright is a very nice town. Worth a visit: peaceful, green, clean and probably the friendliest people I have come across. The house really is perfect - one of the best we have stayed at. Host is friendly and proactive in communication. Getting there, getting in and getting comfortable is all so easy. I cannot think of anything to find fault with- everything you need is here and how you want it. Lovely welcome pack too. Lots of space in the house and dog friendly (lots of good walking areas behind the house).

What a fantastic place to stay! Beautiful views from every window and so quiet and peaceful. Nice to have fenced in secure garden for dogs, lots of parking space and bike storage. Bedrooms comfortable, immaculately clean and provided with bath sheets and hand towels. Great showers and plenty of facilities. Kitchen with AGA and lovely big table for family meals, plenty of crockery and cutlery. Appreciated having two TV rooms for different generations and good Wifi for the workers. All in all a delightful place to stay, peaceful, yet near to local shop and main road and easy to get to everywhere. We hope to return...

The Old School House is stunning Air BnB , super clean, very well appointed and Elizabeth is an excellent host. Would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Newton Stewart.

Rachael’s home was one of the most relaxing stays in an Air BnB we’ve had, the location is perfect for exploring the Ards Peninsula. Rachael is a lovely and relaxed host, her home is beautiful and comfortable, she was not at all fazed by our boisterous dogs which put us straight at ease. The gardens around the cottage are lovely and perfectly designed for our 9 year old to explore and enjoy an Easter Egg hunt. Overall a wonderful experience that I would highly recommend.

Perfect house for our break. Spotless, comfortable, warm, well equipped, all facilities in perfect condition, central and close to all landmarks, easy parking. Highly recommended

We had a very relaxing short break at the cottage. Everything had been provided for an extremely comfortable stay. The cottage is very well equipped, even down to the holiday dog tag for Archie to wear during his stay! We loved the garden, the sunroom and sitting out on the private patio. Melissa is a great host and you can tell a lot of effort has been put into making her guests stay very memorable.

Great place. Photos make it look like it is secluded but in really there are a number of properties around. The Internet in the property was not the best but good phone signal meant we got by.

The appartment/terraced house, although not massive, was fine for a family of 4 with a very well equipped (kitchen, dish washer, washing machine...) with everything at hand and clean. The welcome pack of some food and wine was appreciated. The area was calm in a reatively ancient seaside town. Would recommend it!

Super convenient little place in the heart of Gatehouse of Fleet. The property was well presented and absolutely spotless. A parking space conveniently right outside the property. My stay was quite short and I didn't need to cook or use the kitchen, but it was well equipped and clean. A complimentary bottle of Prosecco was a lovely touch, even if I didn't manage to drink it! There were no problems at all with check-in and Julie left clear instructions. I will definitely rent again if available when I next stay in Gatehouse!

Dylan was a lovely host and very friendly. He replied very quickly to any messages. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, modern and beautifully decorated and in a great location. The bed was really comfortable and after a good nights sleep we enjoyed a walk on the nearby beach. We would definitely stay there again… a very pleasant experience!

Absolutely amazing apartment. Had everything we could have needed and wanted. William is a terrific host and helped with any question we had. Would 100% come back if in the area again!
