My family of five (three of them young children) stayed here for a few days during a three week journey around Europe. It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to visit the D-Day sites and this home made our stay 100% enjoyable. It is my favorite AirBnB I have ever stayed in. It was perfectly clean, had everything we could have thought we needed, and the location was absolutely perfect. Thank you for letting us stay in such an amazing place!

We feel pleasantly transported back in time to this house, very well-located. It will appeal to children and adults. The house is well equipped, the garden allows you to have your meals alfresco (I hope you get this chance because the bad weather took away this pleasure from us). Do not hesitate to choose this large house, you will be able to enjoy not only Port en Bessin but also Bayeux, the landing beaches.

My stay in Port-en-Bessin was wonderful. Johanna's small apartment is right on the harbor and it's just nice to sit by the window and watch the fishing boats. Supermarket, bakery and restaurants are almost right outside the door, just like the beautiful market on Sundays. From Port-en-Bessin you can start great tours in the area and Omaha Beach is only 15 minutes away. The apartment is small but has everything you need and the neighbors from upstairs are actually a little noisy. But since I read it in the reviews before, it didn't surprise me/bothered me. Would definitely return!

From the warmth of the welcome, the beautiful house and amazing gardens, the history, the graciousness of the building and the generosity of our hosts. It was impeccable. If you are visiting the Normandy beaches I can’t recommend this Airbnb enough. A truly special place that will stay with you for weeks afterwards.

One of our favorite airbnbs! This space has it all: Situated right on the water, the living spaces were pristine, tons of space to relax in the serene environment, walkability to restaurants and shops and the bonus was the “kids club” upstairs :) Great location for D Day tours and Normandy food. A memorable stay we will always look back on. Thanks for an amazing stay!
