Cottage holiday rentals in Porlock Weir

Debbie’s place is a little piece of paradise, the setting is stunning, the gardens are fantastic and the cottage is warm and cosy whilst also being spacious and really well laid out. We had everything we needed and immediately felt at home. The open plan kitchen into the cosy living room left us all feeling connected, utility space was really useful, conservatory with stunning views allowed us to dine together and relax during the day. Outside area is also stunning for meals on the patio and bbq’s and the hot tub was great to relax in on an evening looking at the stars in peace and tranquility.. there’s a slight walk up to the property across a field but once you’re in the cottage and its gardens it’s worth every step. Great for the dogs too. Loads to do in the area, our highlight was Lyme Regis beach.. many thanks to Debbie and everyone who made us feel so welcome. We would go back to Debbie’s place in a heartbeat!

Very lovely place, me and my girlfriend stayed here for a weekend and had no complaints. The host responded quickly and the property looked exactly like the photos. All the extra little touches like the fire wood, slippers, eggs and etc really made us feel welcome. Overall we really enjoyed our stayed and would happily stay here again.

We spent the half term break at Little Burston with our two young children, we had a wonderful time. The accommodation was everything we hoped from the previous brilliant reviews and more. A clean, bright and large space. Well equipped with everything you could want (games, DVD’s, kitchen utensils). A tranquil and peaceful setting not far away from Dulverton and within striking distance of lots of activities. The hot tub kept the adults happy and the kids loved the garden, trampoline and games of football. Carol was a great host, instructions left at the property were clear and easy. Walking recommendations all great. Goats and chickens out of the kitchen window was a highlight for the kids. Up there with the best Airbnb’s we’ve been to in the UK. We would not hesitate to return, if visiting North Devon again and couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.

Just back home after 5 very relaxing nights at The Net Loft. A beautiful, secluded hideaway with everything anyone could want/need for a few days away. The accommodation is extremely well equipped with the best appliances. The bed is so comfortable! With the bifold doors open sitting in the lounge area was so relaxing. It is a quick walk into the centre of Croyde where there are plenty of bars and restaurants to appeal to all tastes and budgets. Would definitely recommend The Net Loft. We will definitely be back. Wow! What an incredible 6 days we had staying at Nicola’s place. It was for my partners 21st birthday and Nicola put up banners and balloons which was lovely of her. We both had the best time, it was both of our first time in Cornwall and we explored so much in the time we was there. Boscastle is an amazing place to stay as St Ives was just over an hour away, Marazion was an hour away, Newquay just under an hour. Even the local beaches and exploring Boscastle was so much fun. It really was a great location, the views, the sunsets/ sunrises everything truly was amazing and we will 100% be back in the future. Thank you so much for having us and as I say we thoroughly enjoyed our first time in Cornwall.

What an amazing stay! It was everything we were hoping for and more. The cottage had everything we needed and also some nice personal touches too. It was so relaxing sitting in the hot tub, listening and watching the birds . The weather was a little unsettled for us but not a problem, as we could sit in the summer house, and look out at the lovely view and our neighbours the sheep! Claire was very responsive with messaging and will look forward to visiting again soon. 🙂

Garden View is tucked away right in the historic centre of Llantwit Major. Closest pub 130 steps away and the others not much further. Good choice of pubs and food locally, takeaways and supermarkets too. Cottage is extremely quiet, well equipped, comfortable and cosy. Easy 30 minute walk to coastal path. A very restful stay for a few days.

it's our second stay at Fish Cottage, the kids love it, we love it. As we are originally from devon we can access all our favourite places on day trips due to the location so really works for us Cottage is spacious, interesting and really well equipped and comfortable for our family. will continue each year if we can !! thankyou

A very pretty cottage in a stunning location. Dave and Lucy were so welcoming and helpful. The well equipped accommodation has everything you could need for a most comfortable and relaxing stay. The private garden with various outdoor furniture (including hammock and barbeque) is a real plus. The location is ideal for visiting the beautiful Devon countryside and coastline, RHS Rosemoor, and the nearby Tarka trail is ideal for a wonderful cycle ride along the river to the sea.

A lovely cottage which is clean, cosy and comfy. The check in process was really smooth and Rebecca was very responsive. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we could have needed. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We had a lovely stay, cottage was perfect, well maintained and had everything we needed. There was visitors parking available but we used the cheap parking at West Quay as just a few steps from the cottage. Perfect for Watchet and surrounding areas. Thank you. Steve and Anna 😊

Excellent accommodation. Peaceful and beautiful surroundings. High standard of cleanliness and clutter-free, yet all facilities we needed. Would 100% stay here again. 20 mins walk to beach. Really great local pub/food.

What a perfect spot to stay in Wells! It is absolutely adorable and so well thought out. An easy short walk to do many great shops, restaurants and of course the cathedral and Bishop’s Palace. We really love everything about Wells and this stay added another level of charm.

Such a lovely place to stay. John and Sian were very friendly and helpful. The cottage is cosy and the location is a short drive away from the coast and lots of beautiful walks in the surroundings. Highly recommend.

A beautiful restored Water Mill with artistic history linked to Picasso through Clementina’s Father , fascinating with book written in the Mill . On the day we were to arrive the weather was horrible and Clementina lit 🔥 a beautiful log burning stove and turned on the central heating to make us feel at home , she welcomed us a little early and showed us around and explained in detail about how to use the facilities in the mill . We have eaten at at 4 of the 5 restaurants she recommended and our favourite by far was The Boar at Barrington ( must book to be sure ) all the others were good but The Boar stood out by far . The Coach House at Porlock Weir Is such a lovely property so comfortable, well positioned & much closer to the sea than the pictures would suggest. Absolutely stunning location. Beautiful views. So peaceful. The accommodation is of an extremely high standard and has been decorated beautifully. Lots to do in the surrounding area. Would highly recommend.

I cannot fault this place and honestly, the pictures don’t do it justice. We booked here for our first anniversary weekend and Tracey was so helpful with recommendations. There were lovely touches during our stay and extra bits for the dog too! Property was immaculately clean and very quiet surroundings. Kitchen had everything you needed and more- one of the best equipped air BnB kitchens we’ve used. Beds are gloriously comfy and slept really well. Good size shower with great pressure. Body wash provided-bring your own shampoo. Would 100% recommend and would definitely stay again.

Enjoyable stay in this home from home!

peaceful, high quality through out, easy parking right outside, super WiFi, magnificent view and well kept garden. we said we liked walking and there on the table was a perfect collection of walks.

The house sits snugly up by our hosts' house, surrounded by well maintained rockery banks and with a view of the busy bird feeder and stables. The plot is very well maintained while not overly manicured and unlesss a car passes along the lane there is no traffic sound to interrupt the peace. The house has everything you need for a short stay; the beds are very comfortable, kitchen spacious and sufficiently well equipped for cooking. Wifi may drop out in the sitting room but this didn't bother us. There is one family bathroom which may trouble some people but we were four adults and managed perfectly well for showers etc There is also another separate loo. Not a modern minimalist style property, more homely and immaculately clean and fresh decoration. The location is stunning and very convenient for coast and moor. Perfect for us.

We spent the weekend in The Yellow Welsh Cottage with our two young boys age 7 months and 4 years and had a great time. The cottage had comfortable beds, lovely decor and a small but well equipped kitchen (we cooked both nights). Coffee, milk, Welsh cakes and a selection of cereal/granola was provided which was a nice touch. My 4 year old was overjoyed with the toy selection, and we enjoyed the views of the village at sunrise/sunset from the large window in the living room with a coffee/glass of wine. Debs and Than were very prompt with communicating, which was a relief when we weren't sure if we'd parked in the correct place! It was the perfect location for us, just 30 minutes from Dyffryn where we have family, and around 15 minutes from villages/towns/beaches such as Ogmore-by-Sea and Cowbridge. We would definitely stay here again.
