Holiday rentals with a kayak in Pennington County

Ken is extremely responsive and helpful! We enjoyed our stay with our two young sons and plan on visiting again in the future! Highly recommend Ken's place if you are in the Black Hills!

Great place! The code didn’t work when we got there and Brandi was available to help get in even though it was late at night.

we loved the history of the place. Also the bar across the street was fun at the end of the night, very friendly. We got in late the first night so didn't have time to get groceries and they re started the fryer for us to have so food! We loved that there was seperate bathrooms as we were in a girls trip! And we were centrally located to all of our attractions!

Our stay at Joy's French Creek Hideaway was nothing short of spectacular! The house is beautifully furnished with a warm and inviting ambiance, and the surrounding land is clearly nurtured with care. The natural beauty of the area is breathtaking and provided an unforgettable experience. Joy was incredibly responsive and supportive, making our stay even more enjoyable. We can't wait to rebook again soon! Highly recommended to other travelers seeking a peaceful, rejuvenating getaway!

Great location! Loved the kayaks and the grill was handy. The bin was cozy. Only thing I’d make a note of is that there are RV sites available at the same location, so it was a bummer that we didn’t know and that we didn’t have the space to ourselves. Otherwise, great stay!

We've stayed in a lot of "cabins", but this is the real deal! It took a bit of time to figure out where all the lights were and get our bearings, but once we had, we were soon settled in. It was actually way better than the photos, which was a relief, LOL. Cierra provided a helpful house manual and lots of labeling and notes throughout the cabin. We were far enough off the main road that it felt quite private, and the driveway was a good little walk for us and our pups. There was some road noise, but it quieted down at night. We slept on the jackknife sofa because it was lower to the ground, and it was very comfy. Washing dishes was a bit tricky due to no running water, but that was expected. The outhouse was no problem and was far cleaner than the average vault toilet in any public park. It was a great base for exploring the incredible Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and all the little tourist towns in the area. We enjoyed our stay so much, we hated to leave!

Jackie and Bret's place was conveniently located for planning visits to Mt Rushmore (35 mins), Custer state park (25 mins), Rapid city downtown (20 mins), Wind cave national park (40 mins) and Badlands national park (60 mins). The hosts were very friendly and Jackie even baked fresh cinnamon rolls for us. The night skies were full of stars and a good place to stargazing and capturing the milky way. Overall, a good value for money!

Karen's house was my oasis during my trip to the Black Hills. Comfortable, clean, relaxing, and convenient! Loved the hardwood floor and comfortable furniture as well as the backyard. So happy Iwas able to stay here.
