A lovely quiet place to recharge body and soul

Our home is in the heart of 'Poldark Country' in West Cornwall close to the cliffs and moors. The area is renowned for the views, the light and the open space. The accommodation is a self contained flat attached to our house with it's own separate entrance. We are in a small village with a pub and Meadery less than 2 minutes walk away. Other attractions nearby are Geevor Tin Mine and St Just. St Ives, with it's artistic buzz and beaches, and busy Penzance are an easy drive or bus ride away.

This old miners cottage has been colourfully transformed by the artist owner. Traditional granite walls keep the rooms cool in summer and on chilly evenings you can cosy up around the log burner. There is a good size garden with mature trees, a BBQ and outdoor dining area. It's the perfect base for exploring the mines of Botallack, where Poldark was filmed and is also close to many local beaches including Sennen Cove and Porthcurno. The house is not suitable for people with mobility issues.

A comfortable double bed invites you inside: there is a pull-up table under the window. It is a short walk across the lawn to a shower room with towels, robes and toiletries supplied. A simple healthy breakfast is provided e.g. fresh fruits, yoghurt and granola. A cooked breakfast is available for an extra £10 pp.

You’ll love our place because of the location and views. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers and young families. Pines at Carminowe Farm, a peaceful rural retreat

Cozy flat located at Carminowe Farm, just outside the village of Pendeen, slightly off the beaten track with no close neighbours, making it extremely peaceful and a haven for wildlife. It's a short walk to the shop, pubs and local facilities. The coast path is approximately a mile and a half away. The flat has ample parking and its own courtyard seating area. The hosts live in the main part of the house and have a border collie called Bill and a cat.

The Shepherds hut is situated in our substantial back garden . It is a quiet, private space. The perfect base for exploring the scenery of west Cornwall or as a stopover on route to or from the Isles of Scilly.
