We had the greatest stay at Kosti’s ! He’s the best host we could ask for. He’s always available when you need anything, and makes sure for your stay to be as welcoming as possible. The sauna and pool are really nice to enjoy, and the location is perfect. The (then frozen) river next to the house offered us the possibility to watch wonderful auroras, and the proximity the Ounasvaraa ski station allowed us to enjoy it as much as possible. I could only recommend you to stay at Kosti’s place if you want your stay to be the best, and feel as a local.

Amazing experience. The location is great for seeing auroras (we saw them!) and only half an hour from Rovaniemi. The lake is very beautiful. The cottage is very well equipped and cozy. The only issue we had was the door locks which are not intuitive. The host's communication was very good. I highly recommend this accommodation!

What a lovely place! We had the best time with our two kids. So peaceful, well designed and exactly what we were looking for. Sauna, hot tub, toys for kids and many other perks included. We had a great weather in the end of March (sunny and snowy), but I’m sure it’s also lovely in the summer months. Overall very happy.

Outstanding accommodation with Madeleine and Sandra being exceptional hosts. We couldn’t fault anything. Breakfast was perfect and brought over to us every day, with choice of foods including eggs, cereal, fresh bread, homemade jams and yoghurts. The house was very clean and tidy and the facilities were great, especially the jacuzzi and sauna. Great shower and good range of kitchen equipment to prepare meals at home. Everything was straightforward to use, including the jacuzzi, sauna and open fireplace. The stairs were steep but that didn’t affect us and added to the charm of the house. Excellent personal touches. They even baked us a Birthday cake as a surprise!. We booked this place as a base for visiting Overkallix (20mins) and doing winter activities there, which proved perfect for us. I wouldn’t hesitate staying here again or recommending this place to others.

Thank you for a wonderful country style rustic authentic and super pleasant stay! Sandra and Madeleine were so welcoming and kind. This was far beyond a regular airbnb experience, and we couldn't thank them enough so we strongly recommend not to think twice. They brought us a wonderful breakfast every morning, took care of every little thing whole also giving us space. Thank you, we hope to be back!

Our stay at Tarja and Scott’s house was one of the best adventures of our lives. Even before the trip, they were very kind and helpful. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and had everything we needed. The house was cozy and warm, with plenty of firewood. There is also a beautiful kota near the house where we could cook on the fire and watch the northern lights. We were lucky to see the aurora five nights in a row. Scott also gave us great advice about hiking and kindly let us stay a bit longer on our last day. Before we left, we had a nice talk and learned more about his life. We will always remember this peaceful place by the lake and hope to return one day. :)

Sanna was a super nice host, and reacted very fast when we needed something. The Appartement had everything we needed. We spend a lot of time in the whirlpool, we were even so lucky to see aurora from the jacuzzi one night.

We spent 5 days at Daiva's fantastic home. The house has everything, super comfortable, super close although we had a rental car. The sauna is a plus,the sleds for the little ones another plus. I highly recommend this house and would happily repeat again

This place was awesome, walkable distance to nearest bus station to the city centre. Nice warm place with wonderful facilities, homely stay. Both Sinikka and her husband were pretty helpful, allowed to checkin early. Place was clean, with lots of helpful instructions. Highly recommended. Five stars 🤩

We loved our stay at the cabin. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was great to have during our stay! We loved staying a bit further outside of Rovaniemi city center so that we could really get to experience more of the natural wonders that Lapland has to offer. We wish we would have been aware of the smaller hot water tank before booking. This was not a problem this trip but if we were traveling with family and cooking we can see where the limited hot water tank size could be a problem. Overall, we would book this cabin again!

We felt really comfortable. We particularly liked it when Sara's husband lit the fireplace and we could spend the whole evening by the fire. We will be happy to come back!

I would like to say a huge thank you to MaRi for such a wonderful home and hospitality. The house is located a 45-minute walk from the city center. By bus, it takes only 5 minutes, and the ticket costs €9. The house itself is very cozy. Mari, as a host, is very responsive and welcoming. She replied to messages within minutes and was very understanding. If any help was needed, she was always there to assist. The house is very warm, the sauna is amazing, and everything is exceptionally clean and cozy. Thank you so much! I will be recommending this place to all my friends and acquaintances. I would rate this home 100 out of 100!

We spent 2 nights in Sanna's house and everything was perfect. Before you even arrived, communication with Sanna was very quick and easy. Her house is very nice, very well decorated and filled with little touches. The sauna is a real plus. This is the first time I've stayed with someone else and felt so good there. There are people who have a sense of service and Sanna is definitely one of them. I can only recommend, everything was just perfect.

Wonderful location, there is an open area nearby where aurora was visible in the night.

Johanna’s place was perfect for our family of four. It included everything we needed and was centrally located. We appreciated the special treats she left for my husband, kids, and me.

Good value for money. Super Clean Good location (airport 20 mins /bus stop 20m / 2 nearby supermarkets 5 mins drive) Quiet place We loved the sauna. A few small flaws: missing a few utensils, the back room remains a little less hot from the rest of the house. We recommend this place.

Pasi is a very responsive and friendly host. The house is typical and at the same time very pleasant with all the necessary comforts, the bedding is of good quality and there is everything you need in the house and nearby. We recommend and thank Pasi for our stay.

Robin's house is a real gem. Everything is available for a wonderful stay and the area is beautiful. There is a ski slope close by and you can do a trek with huskies or a snowmobile. It is not super touristy so you can also take beautiful walks without encountering someone. This way you can enjoy winter wonderland at the fullest. Communication with Robin also went very smoothly. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to go to Lapland!

Such a great home minutes from the center of Rovaniemi and on the river, clean and welcoming space, comfortable accommodations, responsive host, and everything you can ask for. Would highly recommend to visitors.

Tila and Jukka made our trip 10 folds better. Their place is big enough for 4 people to be comfortable in. Tila is a very welcoming host. She gave us plenty of snacks and food. There’s a grocery store in a walking distance and a well equipped kitchen, so you can definitely cook from home. The sauna was very easy to operate and spacious. If you wanna have a chance to see the northern lights without going far, there is a bridge over a river about 20 minutes walk away where there’s a lil less light pollution (although I recommend you get a car and drive up further north to get away from the city for a higher chance). All in all, 10/10 host and 10/10 Airbnb!
