Monthly Rentals in Palliser Bay

Great temporary stay for 1 person at a quiet and peaceful place. Had all the amenities and facilities plus great host who was always very helpful.

We had such a great long weekend here. The house is in a quiet area with a nice view of the sea. It is a short drive to the lighthouse and pinacles in either direction. It is dark at night and we got great views of the stars (and even the aurora on the last night!!). The place is well laid out, very clean and more than enough space for 6 adults. The living area is larger than it looks in the photos. The bbq is around the side of the house so not very communal but it was good and clean. Kitchen was well equipped and easy to find and operate everything. We didnt use it but there is an outdoor shower for coming in from the beach and loads of beach towels for use. Great communication from Jenna with easy instructions to find the house- and the early check in is such a good bonus.

The place as well as the hosts are absolute gems! Michael and his partner are great and caring, and it was a privilege to meet them and share in their corner of paradise. They are readily available and nearby, yet you feel completely secluded within the beautiful forest. I think this is the best Airbnb I have stayed in: the unit is newly built, the appliances are top notch, the place is generously equipped with high quality products, cooking essentials & more, and the open space design with large windows allows you to enjoy an extraordinary view of the natural surroundings - both under the sunlight and moonlight. We were traveling with our baby and we had plenty of room for all the essentials needed for sleeping, eating and playing. Even if it is a bit of a drive to Wellington, it was beyond worth it. For hikers, there is so much to do with this home as your base camp. We even extended our stay to make the most of the trails and enjoy the home a little longer. Loved everything!

Beautiful stay at the Washpool and just as we remembered it from over 10 years ago. Amazing views and surroundings and the house had everything we needed. The kids enjoyed petting the horses and playing games on the front lawn. Fun had by all!
