Waterfront holiday rentals in Oxford

Vicky and Jake were there to meet us and were very helpful with instructions on how to use heating and appliances within the apartment, we got good helpful advice on the local area and were made very welcome. Lots of little extras to help us feel at home and it was an extremely comfortable place to come back to and relax after a long day at the races or on the tourist trail. We would definitely consider using the apartment again in future visits to Cheltenham.

This was our second stay at Susie's property and both times it has been exceptional. The location is perfect, quiet but close to everything. Free parking is a huge plus too. We had a fabulous break and would love to visit again some time.

I really enjoyed my stay at Karl's flat. It had a separate kitchen & bathroom. It was very easy to find and get checked in. It was very easy to walk to various places we were visiting. Karl was happy to recommend somewhere we could keep the car over night etc. I loved the fact we could see the Thames outside our window and on our last morning we walked to a lovely cafe called The Paper Boat. Thank you so much.

Very well set up flat overlooking the Grand Union canal with a pub opposite. The place was very comfortable and a 10 minute walk from the centre.

A cosy contained flat sitting about an absolutely stunning valley, overlooking a wood beyond. Holly's flat was absolutely perfect for what I wanted - an away from it all, peaceful location where I could study and write. I love nature and I was surrounded by deer, incredible birdsong, red kites, pheasants and so much more. I was lucky to be here for the bluebells and also the golden fields of rapeseed. Ideal location for anyone who likes hill walking, hiking and / or is doing the Cotswold Way. It takes less than 10 mins to drive into Cheltenham, but this place is truly an oasis of calm and serenity. A 6-min drive to the nearest large supermarket, so that was handy. The furniture etc might be a tad dated but, honestly, the price reflects that fact and, frankly, I loved that this wasn't a show home, but rather a well-loved country place. Holly was wonderful to interact with. I recommend this flat in the heart of the Cotswolds. The bed is super comfy too!

Thank you, we had a lovely stay in Oxford. It was a short walk to the center, with a nice walk by the river. The apartment was well equipped, clean, great beds. Bujar was very responsive and an excellent host.

Stayed for 3 nights for a get together with old friends. Weather was lovely and so we sat straight by the lake with a beer and spit of fishing. The views are fantastic and the surroundings are beautiful. Inside the place was spotless with lots of Room even with 5 of us inside. All the amenities we required were on hand. Good WiFi meant we were all able to communicate without any issues. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. Pure bliss! Walked over to the old boat house for a meal and drinks and then also walked to the Eliot arms for another great meal out. Didn’t want it to end. Would highly recommend this to either a family or group of friends. Awesome!

We had a very enjoyable stay with the family for a major birthday celebration. The accommodation and location are really lovely. The kayaks with life jackets were available. We had a few minor cleanliness issues which couldn't be resolved during our stay but we did receive modest compensation. One observation; the ladder style steps up to the mezzanine are very steep and not suitable for young children on their own and the beds up there are too small for fully grown adults or tall teenagers!. This is not addressed in the spec of the accommodation. We ate at a local restaurant, The Crown at Ampney Brook. Food and service exemplary.

We had a great stay and with all the amenities at the location there was something to do for everyone.

Such a wonderful location with use of the lake for paddleboarding and sailing……. Property was brilliant and well presented. Kate was always on hand to answer any questions and very responsive. Would be more than happy to return again.

Just stayed at the woodshed with my family, it's a beautiful place in beautiful surroundings and loved the decor. Mel the host couldn't be more helpfull .

A really lovely stay in South Cerney - the place was perfect, clean and comfy, with everything we needed/wanted including a BBQ and games, and in a beautiful setting and with lots to do on the doorstep. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay. The lodge is in a really quiet location overlooking the lake. Watching the goslings whilst having breakfast was so lovely. The lodge is as described and everything was clean and welcoming. Would stay again. Frannie is a great host, with excellent communication.

I had a birthday weekender with friends and the apartment is really lovely and suited us perfectly. Not just clean, but comfortable too with everything you need. The host is great and helpful. It all made the stay so much more enjoyable. 100% would recommend.

Beautiful home, perfect place to stay. The garden is absolutely amazing. Claire Marie was very welcoming, made us feel at home. Went out of her way to ask if we needed anything. Generally a lovely, friendly host. I would highly recommend to stay here. Everything was perfect and it made our weekend.

The Hideaway was perfect for our stay. Very clean and modern with ample storage in the bedroom. We found the information provided on places to visit and where to eat very useful along with helpful instructions on how to access the lake from the accommodation. The patio doors from the living area do overlook the owners garden but the beautiful view of the lake more than compensates. There is a private courtyard area with seating to the left of the entrance for guests who require more privacy. All in all a very relaxing place to stay after a busy day exploring as well as lovely walks on your doorstep. We would be more than happy to return.

Cozy and clean, perfect location to explore London and Windsor as Sunnymeads train station is only a few minutes walk away. The George steakhouse is 20 minutes walk, well worth a visit, friendly staff and lovely food. Welcome basket left by Linda was a lovely touch. We would definitely recommend and hope to return next time we want to visit the area.

We had a short stay of only two nights and didn’t really get around to using the many amenities provided, but never felt we lacked for anything that we did need. House and bed were comfortable, bathroom shower fixtures were easy to work. Good stay.

oh my goodness what a position actually on the River Thames. It was perfect for my 93 year old mother as no stairs to climb. Accurately described, a little rustic. Great communication replying in a few minutes. Feel very lucky to have stayed at Waters Edge.

I wish I could find the right words to describe how amazing our stay was, but I will try! First of all, Karen is the most amazing host. Always friendly and happy to help me. We had a peculiar situation as we were relocating from abroad and she was so kind and generous with us. The apartment was spotless and had good quality linen, towels and amenities. The bed is very comfortable and the wardrobe is very big, making this place ideal also for long stays like ours. The parking space is safe and convenient with the lift taking you in front of the door. The view from the balcony is so nice and peaceful with birds and ducks around all the time. We enjoyed the place so much, but we also appreciated the pleasant walk to the train station to go to central London or Reading. Overall, I couldn’t have wished for a better place for our first home in the UK. I know that when I will have people visiting, I will always try to book Karen’s place and I will miss it so much.

Evie's place was the perfect location - right in the heart of Oxford but very quiet on a private street. The apartment was perfect for our group of four women. Highly recommend!
