Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Outer Banks

Wonderful place and very pet friendly. The location of the house on a beach access point/path was such an important benefit that I had not realized when booking the house (I did not know that there were specific beach access points and if you were not on a beach path, you had to walk to one and then head east to get to the beach) The beach cart and all of the beach accessories were terrific (shibuni, chairs, towels, cooler, beach mat, toys, bikes ect.) no need to pack/bring anything for the beach with you! Thanks for a great stay!

This was our second year at Serene Retreat. It’s just such a wonderful place for young children to enjoy the beach. The fenced in yard is great for their outdoor play. We enjoy cooking in the fabulous kitchen and feasting at the table with a view. Better than any restaurant around! Thank you again.

We had a great three night stay, my three adult children and I. The beach was surprisingly almost ours to ourselves. For an older traditional OBX house, it was well updated and very well appointed. The central floor plan is very open. I love it when you can be in the kitchen cooking while talking to everybody in the living area and those around the dinner table at the same time. Awesome view of the ocean off the back deck. We sat in the hot tub and still see the ocean. Im sometimes leary of hot tubs at the beach, a lot of times they are not well maintained. Danielle's was spotless and the water chemistry was perfect and safe. There was absolutely nothing we needed or any place where we needed to go that was not within a 5-minute drive. All of my family are fisherman. if you like to fish, there's not a better place to stay. getting from the house to the beach to surf fish takes less than a minute. we walked up to the OBX Pier several times to fish, probably less than a 5 minute walk.

Kite's Inn was exactly as advertised and more. The home is beautiful, well-furnished, and the kitchen was well-equipped. We loved the location with great views of the Pamlico Sound. The House was ideal for pets and small children. The grass yard allowed our dogs to play outside and to swim in the Sound without having to worry about stepping on burs and the beach was ideal for our 1 1/2 year old grand child. The house is easy walking distance to nearby attractions and restaurants. Joshua is a great host who was responsive and proactive with ideas when we had a rainy day.

We had a wonderful time at this adorable beach cottage. It was well stocked and very clean. I would definitely stay again.

This home was absolutely gorgeous and suited our needs perfectly. Lots of parking for our trailer and a big fenced yard for our pooch. Felt right at home. Super clean and comfortable. The host was very hospitable. We would definitely stay here in the future when we aren’t on a work trip so we can enjoy the home and surroundings more.

Our stay at changing tides in the Outer Banks was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning ocean views and the short 30 second walk to the pristine beach. The house itself is a perfect blend of coastal charm and modern comfort, with a fabulous kitchen, hot tub, and very well appointed living spaces. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the thoughtful touches made our vacation effortless and relaxing. The location in Duck was ideal—close to local restaurants, shops, and attractions like iconic duck donuts haha, nearby cute places to eat , yet tucked away in a peaceful neighborhood. The host was incredibly responsive. We will definitely return.

This house was so clean and spacious! We had five adults and a dog and were so comfortable there. The house is a short drive to the beach which was very convenient. Sasha is so thoughtful about how she’s decorated the house and the supplies she provides. We had everything we needed down to a recipe book holder and a USB agnostic charging pad. Sasha thought of everything that I usually leave in private comments for AIRBNB owners. The linens were very clean and the towels were fluffy! As a heads up, the three bedrooms are upstairs with one being a primary suite. Downstairs is the area with the dark blue couches. The layout worked great for us!

We loved that we were able to walk to the beach and to the bay. Also loved the beach parking pass to give us the option to drive to the beach. We used the beach chairs, boogie boards and bicycles and all of them were fantastic! Very comfortable house, felt right at home there. Perfect house for a family to use. Also very helpful that Target, Publix and tons of restaurants were very close.

We had a great stay at Toes in the Sand. It was even better than pictured. I was originally worried from the photos that maybe you couldn’t see the ocean from the main living floor, but you absolutely can see the ocean from nearly everywhere in the house. It’s lovely. Such a charming house, quiet, beautiful beach, and near enough to groceries, gas, and anything else you’d need. Also, had a great Oceanside dinner at Fish Heads <30 min north! Would definitely come back!! Beautiful views and sounds of the ocean waves crashing from the deck. The bed was extremely comfortable. The pool, and all of the beach gear made our stay so nice! We saw wild horses every day of our stay here. Special place and home!!

Hands down my favorite stay in the OBX, great location, perfect for my puppy, can walk to the beach, local convenience store/food. Host was amazing gave me great recommendations!

This is an excellent location for the entire Outer Banks. Recommendations on things to do and places to eat were very good. The automatic lights for taking the dog out at night were perfect. Check in/out instructions were very detailed. Jenna & Tim were great hosts. Lots of amenities and great layout. Lots of fans, lighting and outlets. We would definitely recommend this place to family and friends. When we return to the Outer Banks this will be the first place we look for availability. We had such an amazing time here! She was quick to respond and the place was beautiful! The backyard was perfect for our toddler to play in and I really appreciated that there was a baby gate for upstairs. We will definitely be coming back!

Shelli went over & beyond to make sure our stay went smooth. She responded to any of our needs very promptly. The Airbnb felt cozy yet spacious enough for 3 adults & our golden retriever. We would all stay there again.

Kalid's house Las Palmas was the perfect place for my family and I. The location is perfect for getting right onto the beach. This is the cleanest and most well kept house I've stayed at. I've stayed in the Outer Banks several times and this is the best experience we've had by far. Kalid and his property manager a very responsive to whatever you need and make sure your stay is the best it can be. If you plan to travel to Rodanthe and this place is available, book it right away!

We had a great weekend getaway! It was very clean and quiet. We loved how dog friendly it was and the parking pass for the Avalon Pier made getting to the beach very easy!

This place is absolutely beautiful! You can hear the waves all night long and the the AC works beautifully! You do need 4 wheel drive as there home is in-between dunes and the parking situation with other Airbnbs cause for some 4 wheel drive action but it's part of the experience and we loved it all! Everyone around is extremely friendly and we were able to enjoy our pup on the beach at all times! EXTREMELY dog friendly vibe! Beware this location is about 30 minutes from more urban city areas BUT there are plenty of local markets and deli's to make your easy! Ice machine is fantastic and honestly makes up for no freezer! We will be booking yearly

The home was clean and instructions were very easy to follow. Since we were looking for a peaceful location on this trip, it fit the bill. The view was worth the cost. We knew there would be others around, as it was described accurately and clearly as a condo community. Supplies were very sufficient for us, and the owners were responsive. Enjoyed this trip!

This is our third time staying at Diane’s place and it was wonderful as usual. It’s always refreshing to experience the quiet atmosphere and peaceful surroundings. Great place to relax.

This tiny house is perfect! It is located less than a 5 minute walk to the beach/pier, coffee shops, and restaurants. The hosts were kind, and gave local recommendations. The bed was so comfortable, and we had everything we needed to cook dinner in at night. The shower water was hot, and shower toiletries were provided. Everyone we spoke with in Rodanthe was so wonderful! We truly couldn’t say enough great things about this tiny home and the location it’s in. It was such a great stay, and we hope to return one day.

Amy and her wonderful beachside cottage was such a delight for our first trip to the OBX with our pups! From the moment we checked in we felt so welcome, and the cottage with Amy’s personal touches was incredibly comfortable, FULLY stocked with cute dog bowls and CLEAN. Sometimes when traveling with dogs, you stumble upon a truly diamond in the rough place, and this is a diamond. The fenced in area and front deck is secure, the beach is a very short walk and you can hear the waves. It was peaceful and a home away from home for the week. Thank you for a great stay, all the local recommendations, and simply being a joy.
