Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Ottawa

Great one night stay for two adults and a teen - and would happily choose for a longer stay if we’re back in Ottawa. The place was super clean, comfy furniture, updated and well decorated. Within blocks of great restaurants and a grocery store just down the street. Area felt very safe and peaceful.

This was one of the best air bnbs we have stayed at. Extremely clean and very peaceful location. We had everything we needed! Our children appreciated the toys and the playset in the backyard. Only 15 min drive to starved rock. Lots of great restaurants and parks in Ottawa. Jennifer is a great host and we will definitely be back! Would 100% recommend!

We loved the place. House is big and has many rooms. Lot of games to play while staying. Location is easy to find and close to everything. Love the backyard. Would love to come back again.

Very cute, clean and comfortable! Had everything we needed. Love the location-very close to Starved Rock and Matthiessen which was our reason to be in Ottawa. Hosts sent a guide of things to do in the area and now we plan to come back! Loved the information they provided. Excellent communication and instructions. Highly recommend!

This is a great weekend getaway for friends or family! Michelle was a great host by checking in with me during the first couple hours of our stay making sure that we were satisfied with everything. We had zero problems with the state of the house, pool, and hot tub. Our stay was great!

We enjoyed our stay at the Nautical Nest and especially appreciate our host’s flexibility and kindness. The nest is cute and comfortable and located in a safe community. With State Parks nearby and great local eats you can’t go wrong booking here!

Clean and homey, my crew and I stayed here for an out of town job. It was nice to have a spacious place to come back and rest. Checking in was smooth and Alissa was very responsive. Thanks again.

This place is what air bnb is supposed to be. Comfy, cozy, all the necessities and also some extras. Hosts were great and left us snacks and even some treats for our dogs. The yard was very spacious and private. Firewood was included for the fire pit. Laundry supplies also were included. The bed was comfortable too. Water pressure was also pretty good too which was a very nice change of pace! Some good hiking is very close by as well as some good food options in the dow town area. I don't give out five stars often, but this is one of those times for sure. 👍

An incredible experience connecting to nature and others! You're really afforded the choice between an intimate private stay or an inspiring communal experience, and both are incredible. My favorite part (aside from the delicious wood-fired pizza) was the farm tour and learning about regenerative agriculture. It's an optional tour that we're so glad we opted into. We had no kiddos with us, but it's probably helpful to note that it's extremely kid friendly! We star-gazed at night and woke up to a beautiful chorus of birds. Overall: 10/10 would recommend!

The place was exactly as pictured and we had an amazing stay! The bed and couch were very comfortable and all the personalities they have made were so nice! Hosts were very response and place was easy to find. We loved that everything was in walking distance as well.

My husband and I had an incredible time during our stay in The Rock Cottage. I reserved the place as a getaway for my husband’s birthday, and Amy and Laura made the visit particularly lovely. We loved the privacy of the fire pit after hiking and exploring all day, and walking around town was beyond easy given the location of the place. And for moments needing a bit of tech, the WiFi was flawless and we had no problem accessing streaming services. Without a doubt, we recommend this place for anyone looking to slow down and enjoy greenery.

Our stay was perfect. The location was walkable to all the nearby restaurants. Check in was straightforward and our room was secure. We will be staying here every time we visit Starved Rock.

this is by far the nicest ABB i’ve ever booked at this price point! exactly 6 minutes from Starved Rock State Park & right “downtown” in the cutest little town- literally next door to restaurants, cafes, ice cream, pub, shops. i stayed in the Log Cabin room, & had a bathroom all to myself, super clean room, comfy bed, fresh soft linens.. even complimentary waters in the fridge- perfect after a long day of hiking. i watched a movie on the big screen TV with Roku, & slept peacefully. parking was right at the front door! super easy checkin & the hosts were always quick to respond to my messages. wish i had booked for more nights! loved it.

Everything was clean and very nice and comfortable. It was private and cozy, just what we were looking for. It was quiet and peaceful. I would definitely come back.

We had a very relaxing stay here! The ambience of the home matched well with the experience we were hoping for during this getaway. Jacuzzi was a nice extra touch. Great for a couple’s getaway. Conveniently located to the shops and restaurants and a quick drive to Starved Rock for hiking!

We highly recommend Kishauwau Cabins!! We loved our stay in Pines cabin. It was sparkling clean, spacious, and had every comfort. The front porch swing was our favorite spot, so relaxing to listen to the quiet forest. We appreciated the binder with information on all the local attractions and restaurants. We were impressed with the books, games, and DVDs for checkout in the office as well as the items for purchase we might need. Terisa was great to work with and obviously cares about providing the best for her guests.

We loved the peace and quiet of the area and spent quite a bit of time relaxing at the cabin and enjoying all the amenities, such as a full kitchen, grill, outside firepit and jacuzzi tub. It’s close to Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Park for some scenic day hiking. We also did a wine tasting in downtown Utica and stopped at Lodi Tap House, which has a great selection of craft beers. It was the perfect getaway from city life. We will definitely be staying here again!

I had my bachelor party here and it was a perfect location for 13 guests! The house was very spacious and had tons of places to hang out and activities to do. The back yard was also absolutely beautiful. The host was very friendly and communicative. I would totally stay here again!

This Airbnb is a great getaway. Easy to find in rolling hill country and tucked back in the woods. We enjoyed the quiet and serenity of the location. There is a short walk to the cabin but a wagon was provided to cart your belongs over. Our dog loved being off leash and given you're in a part of the property with like to no activity it as perfect for us.

Cute log cabin with three fireplaces, two jacuzzi baths and a pool table for competitive games in a large gathering area.

Great place place to wind down after a long day at work. Very cozy and private. Good place to fish 🎣

Had a wonderful visit. Th kids loved the room upstairs. Would love to visit in the summer.
