Holiday rentals with a fire pit in LaSalle County

This was one of the best stays my family and I have had! The barn itself is beautiful, but what my boys enjoyed the most was the property. We got lucky with a beautiful 50° December day. We walked the trails, threw rocks in the pond and went on scavenger hunts. Highly recommend staying here!

Everything was perfect! The location was close to everything we needed. The house was clean and organized. It was so chilly outside, we made some soup in the crockpot. We appreciated the containers to take our extras home! Thank you!

We absolutely loved our stay. The house is beautiful and immaculately kept. The kitchen was well stocked and there were tons of towels in each room. The beds were cozy and the heat adjusted quickly. The two highlights were (1) the beautiful deck overlooking the river, where we saw a bald eagle and sandhill cranes migrating and (2) the game room, where we enjoyed family games of pool and poker. The house was 15 minutes from Starved Rock and 2 minutes from a grocery store, so the location was super convenient as well.

The place was exactly what we were looking for, to get away and do some spring hiking. Vanessa was great with communication.

We enjoyed our stay, the house was clean and well cared for, our hosts even sent their cleaner over for a freshen up before we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed for cooking meals, including a cookbook we enjoyed. One of the best things about this house is how close it is to Starved Rock, Buffalo Rock and Mathison parks!

Thank you Michelle, we had an excellent time this weekend. Pool and hot tub were so much fun and really added an extra element of fun for our mini family reunion. The entire house is super cool, hope to stay there again!

Nice clean home, close to the state parks, and perfect for a weekend trip from Chicago. The hosts were very thoughtful and welcoming.

Comfortable and cute place right by the restaurants. Very helpful in recommendations for places to eat! Greatly appreciated an easy checkout with not many responsibilities on our end. Would definitely stay here again!

The place was exactly as pictured and we had an amazing stay! The bed and couch were very comfortable and all the personalities they have made were so nice! Hosts were very response and place was easy to find. We loved that everything was in walking distance as well.

Positives- Cozy king-size bed and pillows. Jetted tub w comfy robes a plus! Enjoyed a bonfire at one of the fire pits available on the property. Amy responds very quickly to any questions! Microwave only and smaller fridge on-site so come prepared as needed for food/beverages/cookware. Only negatives-Not a lot of “lounging” furniture (more modern couch and wooden chair only in living room) and would be nice if there was a tv available in the loft area but not needed if you’re out hiking or site-seeing for much of your stay. Also probably would not have enjoyed ourselves as much if all cabins and units available were occupied. Quite a bit going on there between I’m guessing two city lots. Was nice to seemingly have the place to ourselves though! There are a number of restaurants in walking distance. We really enjoyed sandwiches from Bruce and Ollie’s for lunch. Overall great stay and would recommend as an alternative to Starved Rock Lodge or other Utica visiting needs.

A wonderful cottage just a few minutes away from Starved Rock State Park. The cottage is very modern, private, and comfortable. Also, Amy is very friendly and extremely responsive to messages. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and private stay with plenty of room.

Loved my stay! The location is perfect. Being within a block of quaint downtown Utica is ideal! My unit was spacious, comfortable and stocked with everything I needed. I can't wait to come back!

Dragonfly Landing was a great place to stay. It was easy to find and directions were spot on. The decor inside was very well done and made it feel very homey. They have everything you can think of available in the kitchen/bath/bedrooms although we didn’t use too much of it. What we did need they had. We wanted a place we could bring out 4 legged kids and the settled in easily. The only negative was being so close the railroad tracks but we knew it when we booked and it was a very minor piece of our stay. We would highly recommend.

Had a wonderful stay at The Lodge with my significant other! Loved how parking was always available outside the area and everything is so close by! Parks are 5-7 mins and great eats throughout the area! Accommodations were thoughtful and appreciated easy to check in super cozy loved it thanks guys!!! Will be back!

Very nice place. I’d love to come back and try another cottage or stay in the same site. Clear instructions/communications. Perfect location/distance from highway (came from Chicago). Really good food nearby. Quiet time and privacy - great for a peaceful getaway to recharge and reconnect. Clean and organized space.

Super clean and absolutely beautiful! This cabin is amazing and the perfect location to Starved Rock. The rooms are huge and amazingly clean! We would absolutely stay here again.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay for our girls trip. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed the deck, firepit and hot tub. We were only a 10-minute drive to the store if we needed anything. We are looking forward to our next stay we have booked this summer so we can enjoy the inground pool! Thank you!
