Cabin holiday rentals in Östergötland County

It’s hard to express just how much of a fantastic time my partner and I had at this stunning cottage in the Swedish countryside. The outdoor greenhouse was perfect for a romantic candlelit dinner and the hot tub was wonderful underneath the stars in peaceful surroundings. Nils left us a useful guidebook containing a wealth of information for local walks, hikes, activities and recommended restaurants, complete with clear instructions for navigation. We enjoyed a beautiful local nature reserve based on this. Two electric bikes were available for our use - this was a lovely touch which would enhance any stay. We travelled here primarily as it is within a 40 minute drive of Kolmården, which is probably the world’s best wildlife park and zoo, featuring one of the world’s highest ranked RMC rollercoasters. It’s also easy to reach this place from Stockholm via train to Nyköping, before a 10 minute drive to the property. A 10/10 Airbnb which we look forward to returning to in the future.

We enjoyed our stay at Kathy’s converted barn. It is in a very convenient location, just off the main road down a small lane, at the end of which is a petrol station and supermarket. It is only a short stroll into the pretty centre where you can find historical sights of interest, pretty streets , independent shops and a variety of restaurants. Kathy has taken great care in ensuring the barn is comfortable and clean, ensuring her guests have all they will need for their stay. The bed is comfortable and she provides good quality linens and towels. The hot tub was immaculate and a real treat, as was the cava and chocolates that were part of our welcome package. Kathy’s attention to detail makes this accommodation stand apart from others. Thank you Kathy.

Cozy cottage that has everything you need except TV but that was stated in the ad.

Very nice place close to both Oxelösund and Nyköping. Susanne was very helpful and responded quickly to the questions we had.

The gas bottle for the grill was out, but it worked out by us having to drive to a gas station and buy and the host paid to me, so it was ok. Guess it was the guests before us who ran out of the gas without notifying the host.

we had four wonderful nights at Christina's place. The Airbnb is nicely furnished and you have everything you need. We immediately felt comfortable and also used the jacuzzi. After the hike, this did very well. You have many excursion options and also to the sea it is not far on foot. We will be happy to come back and highly recommend Christina. She was very helpful and was quick to help us with any questions. thank you for everything :)

Very nice, small house directly on the lake. From the conservatory you have a great view. Niclas was very friendly and helpful. We will be happy to come back!

We were very kindly received by Hans-Olov. A clear explanation was given about the property and its accessories. It is a super cozy cottage in a beautiful setting. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the jacuzzi. We stayed here for two nights, but as far as we were concerned, it could have been two weeks. Thanks again to Hans-Olov for the hospitality. The location of the accommodation is gigantic...the view over the Vätternsee unique. The house is in complete secluded locations, a café run by the owner of the apartment 300 meters away. Wonderful for a Fika. The house is lovingly furnished,has Bullerbü character!The kitchen has everything you need to cook deliciously and on top of that the view. We enjoyed our time very much and will hopefully come back, definitely recommend to friends!!

We had a very nice stay! The accommodation was clean, nice and just like in the pictures. The location was good and the area felt safe. The host was helpful and easy to communicate with – we felt welcome from the first moment. We would definitely stay here again and can highly recommend it to others!

We had a great few days in the cottage and especially for the children it was a special experience. The place was even more friendly on site than in the photos. There are many beautiful forests and lakes to discover in the area.

Katarina’s place was great! We used it as a home base to visit the eco park to the south and it was easy to go to a from. We were there a bit outside of typical summer dates so the surrounding areas were essentially shut down, but we were able to find what we needed. Also would highly recommend Restaurang Hörnet in Vadstena, it was incredibly good!

Cozy little cottage that is secluded on the plot. The location was great, walking distance down to the water with an ice cream kiosk and restaurant. Good distance to Kolmården.

This is a unique little cabin. Rustic and yet it has everything you need for either a short or long stay.
