Alvaret is available within a ten-minute walk where Slottsruinen and Solliden are located. It is about 3 km to Borgholm's bustling city life. Bicycles are available to borrow. There is a bike path to town. The cottage is 16 m2 and the balcony 8 m2. The cottage has a fridge, microwave and kettle. Bathroom (toilet and bathtub) and access to water are available in the host's home with a separate entrance.

There is a cafe and a shop with fine craft products and self grown plants for sale. The Vickleby Alaska attracts many flower lovers. In the month of May, a sea of orchids is spreading out.
