Cabin holiday rentals in Oak Hill

Nice little cabin in a prime location, close to all Hocking Hills attractions. It was perfect for my husband and I on our weekend getaway. Peaceful and quiet setting. Wifi was definitely a plus. I would suggest an ottoman for the family room or a reclining couch and a gas grill. Overall, it is a really great place to stay, and we enjoyed it!!

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect cabin! It’s beautiful, quiet and felt like home. It’s also worth noting that our cleanliness standards are very high, and this place met our standards! It was spotless! We very much enjoyed our stay & we’d highly recommend!

We had a great time at Grace's place. We were there for our daughter's graduation at OU and this was super convenient, only 20 minute drive from Athens we were able to get out of the hustle and bustle of Court st. on grad weekend and have a peaceful cabin getaway. The wraparound porch is stunning, the hot tub was perfect and although we didn't get to use the firepit, it is a nice touch for a late evening hangout. The cabin itself is well stocked with the necessities, Grace has done a really great job of keeping the cabin cozy, modern, neat, tidy and comfortable. There are two convenient bedrooms downstairs then upstairs is a fun space with three more beds and plenty of games and activities. We have already recommended this place to OU families we know to stay at when they are visiting, we will definitely be back next time with are in Athens!

We really enjoyed our stop here to check out the Hocking Hills area on our family vacation for Spring Break. Beautiful quiet place :)

Cute and comfortable cabin located in the state park. Very clean and Jonathan was a wonderful host. He was quick to respond to questions and inquiries.

We really loved this place! We were looking for something outside of cities just as a getaway spot as we were going to the Mothman Festival, and we couldn't stop talking about how much we loved it there. Ruth and her husband were incredibly kind and responsive to things, despite having almost no issues (only thing was a dead door battery but that's not their fault.) Highly recommend, and we plan to be back!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the stayed at this cozy cabin last night before heading home from school for the summer. It was everything we hoped for and more! The place was spotless, had very organized institutions, and a beautiful ambiance. Lori even provided complementary waters, coffee, and chocolates. The place comes with everything one would need for a stay in hocking hills: A scenic fireplace, a hot tub, and a grill on the patio. We were disappointed that we were only able to stay one night, but will definitely be revisiting when we’re back in the area!

Great place - just as promised and shown in photos. Very convenient & close to OU. Communication with host could very been better-no responses to questions. Still well worth it!

My husband, 3 children and I had an absolutely wonderful stay! Karen is a wonderful, gracious host and truly goes above and beyond. She stopped by and made sure we knew where everything was and answered any questions we had! She made sure the kids had plenty of toys/books and even left them some snacks, making sure what we allowed our children to have first. It was a no screen weekend for us, and no cell signal made it all the better!! We hiked around her stunning property, watched the sunset over the icy pond, built a few fires and cooked dinner over them each night. We cannot wait to come back this summer! We made a weekend filled with core memories for our kiddos and wonderful memories for us. Thank you so much Karen, can’t wait to come back!

We had an amazing stay at this cabin in Hocking Hills! The cabin was incredibly clean and well-maintained, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The peaceful, quiet location offered the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and the hot tub was the cherry on top after a long day of exploring. We also loved that the cabin was dog-friendly, so our furry friend could join in on the fun. The hosts were thoughtful and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone looking to unwind in nature!

Had a quiet romantic weekend with my wife and had the absolute best time. Airbnb is prepped with everything we could think of and forgot to think of. Close to Hocking Hills so we got some great hiking in and then came back and played some of the games that were there. We didn't bring the fur babies along with us this time but definitely would in the future, it's very much a puppy paradise. Didn't get a chance to use the fire pit or the hot tub but that was all available to us. Overall just a wonderful weekend <3

Very tidy, lovely spot, with a great view of the Ohio river. Rebecca was quick to respond, and every thing we needed for our stay was prepared prior to our arrival. The breakfast was delicious, and served on-time. (I’d particularly recommend the veggie lover omelette). A great spot, I’d definitely recommend!!

If I could give 100 stars, I would! We had such a wonderful experience, and Margot & John are the most lovely, welcoming & kind people. They were so generous with their time and space, and it was a blessing to get to know them! We learned so much about farm life, and were so grateful for the opportunity to be hands-on with the farm chores. My daughter loved gathering eggs, feeding the chickens & caring for the goats. We loved Tibby the barn cat and Barron the horse. It was so fun watching Jim the border collie (the friendliest dog ever) herd the sheep and goats. The cabin is perfect - cozy & comfortable with everything we needed. The location is so peaceful & quiet with beautiful views of the pastures. Roasting marshmallows around the fire pit & admiring the stars was the perfect way to end an evening. Also close to the popular hiking trails (Old Man’s Cave, Rockhouse, etc) & 5 minutes from Lake Hope which has beautiful trails. Perfect trip for families. We can’t wait to go back!

We absolutely loved our stay at the farmhouse! The house was very clean, comfortable, spacious, and had everything we needed for a long weekend stay with our dog. The house was full of thoughtful homey touches such as plenty of hooks for our gear, phone chargers, extra towels, coffee pods, oatmeal packets, etc. The close proximity to hiking trails at Hocking Hills State Park was also a huge plus! We would definitely welcome the opportunity to stay again!

Laura’s cabin in Hocking hills was lovely. Clean with great views of the woods. The hot tub was nice and relaxing and was clean. Laura was fabulous to work with and responded quickly to texts. A great weekend getaway!

Amazing place! Very accommodating for pets - inside nooks set up for dogs to stay in, etc. Almost every amenity you can think of - above and beyond any AirBnB I’ve ever been in. Kitchen well stocked with seasonings, appliances and dishes, etc. Thanks for a nice get away!

Bed was super comfy! Overall, cabin was clean but decor and appliances are dated. The stove was dirty and the dishes were questionable. The sides of the fridge were rusty. Broken patio chair and the wooden beams holding up back patio were weak and bowed. Wasp next also on back patio. Location and setting the cabin is settled on is beautiful!

Lovely little private cabin with access to a small trail right on the property. The location is amazing and there’s lots to do in the hocking hills area. Julie and Klaus were wonderful hosts and Julie was on top of it with the information and clear instructions. Which is always appreciated!

Our family stayed at Dragonfly Retreat for 4 days this weekend for a little rest and relaxation and absolutely loved it! Ashley & Clint were quick to respond with any questions and were overall very accommodating; they even went as far as explaining to us how to connect our Xbox to the theater screen to make it more like "home" for our stay. We are a family of six and had plenty of space for our children to spread out and enjoy themselves and they still decided to spend one night in the bunk room together! We would happily recommend Dragonfly Retreat to our family and friends! Our kids loved it so much they want us to make the Dragonfly Retreat our yearly tradition and my husband & I agree!! We had a wonderful time. This cabin was peaceful and secluded. It was well worth the money and is in driving distance of many different things to do.

Perfect home & worth the hype. Wish we could have stayed even longer! Plenty of spaces to be together or apart, plus all kinds of amenities & thoughtful touches.

Everytime I stay here, I love it more! The private setting and beautiful woods are great. I highly recommend this for anyone looking to get away and enjoy nature.
