Family-friendly holiday rentals in Nottingham

Location was excellent for our purposes (in the center of the city, few minutes walking distance from the University, the market and the railway station) The host was a bit slow in responding before arrival in the UK, but issues regarding were resolved upon arrival at the airport. Overall the apartment was in good to excellent condition apart from some issues which were considered minor due to the relative short stay of 8 days. (One window was very tricky to open and close, the freezer needed some defrosting, one of the faucets had a broken drainer, no towels or sheets were changed during the length of our stay)

Jennie greeted us and let us into her wonderful property, showing us the best places to take walks and visit in the area. An extremly lovely house to come back to after long walks or day trips out and even had the perfect weather to enjoy the hot tub. It was just two of us staying in the property so more than enough room for anyone with a party of 4 looking to book somewhere - a positive and amazing first Air BnB experience, highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying here!

The most beautiful place, the home was even better than we ever imagined, plenty of space, lovely views and walking trails. Most definitely would book again.

We had an amazing stay! Perfect for our group of 12 — spacious, cosy, and beautifully set up. The kitchen had everything we needed, the hot tub was lovely and hot, and the BBQ was a great bonus. Comfy beds, great location near Matlock, and even food delivery to the door. Would 100% recommend! The visiting and feeding the animals was incredible and was so lovely for all the kids and big kids (adults) we had space to run around and just couldn’t fault any of the place! It was so clean as well so hats off to all the staff 👏

We had a lovely week at Wood View, it felt like a home away from home which was surprising as often dog friendly places can seem uninviting. Karen was a fabulous host and couldn’t do more for us. We will be back!

Amazing stay, yet again. Second time coming and already planning the third. Amazing house and staff. The animals are such an amazing bonus which all kids loved. Vic was amazing with the egg collecting and the feeding of animals. The house was super clean and along with all the facilities they had to offer. Me and my partner stayed here for our anniversary. Sarah greeted us at check in and was very accommodating. We massively over packed as everything that we needed was already there, Sarah has thought of everything. The yurts were very peaceful and felt like each one had privacy but also they all have a communal vibe. Log burner and hot tub were easy to use and the hot tub was already warm on arrival. Would definitely recommend Sarah’s place to others and we’re keen to go back with our children.

We stayed here this week with my sister and family and there was ample room for us all, we LOVED having loads of bathrooms and a huge kitchen and the pigs, peacock and chickens outside the kitchen window were a constant source of entertainment for the kids (and our dog!). The setting is beautiful. It’s so peaceful with gorgeous views over the countryside. We will be back next year!

I had a fantastic stay at Wendy's place. it is set in a stunning location surrounded by open space and views of the hills from the garden. its has a well equipped kitchen and comfortable living room with a beautiful log burner. This house is great for a trip to the peak district. I would very much recommend this property!

Loved the house and location. Turn right out of the back gates and it's a nice 10-15 minute stroll into the centre of town. Only two of us stayed but definitely big enough for 4 people. It felt like being home. Vicky the owner has a great collection of vinyl LP's and kindly allowed us to use her player. Highly recommended! Mike Wood

wow, I was amazed with the views, the size of kithen and dinning area, rooms, numbers of toilets! it was all what we were looking for. The energy of house itself was very positive! thank you for a lovely stay!

An amazing property, best I’ve booked on Airbnb. Beautifully presented, extremely clean and very well stocked. You can tell the love and care that has gone into creating this rental and Julie clearly has very good taste. Everything you could possibly need - Julie has included it and she’s gone the extra mile with lovely extra touches. The cottage is well located right in the heart of Tideswell with walks and restaurants on your doorstep. If you have a dog, the boot room outside is fantastic with its warm shower and Julie even supplies dog towels and shampoo. I cannot recommend this property enough and we’ll most certainly be back!

I don’t usually leave reviews but for this special place I’d like to share that this cottage has it all. It’s in a great location, oozing with history and charm, well appointed, clean and has lovely furnishing. Also comfy beds, a good shower and great seating on the private paved area at the front of the property. There’s approx 100 dvds to browse. Kim was a great host, and I felt everything was thought out for our comfort and enjoyment, from the real log fire to the complimentary fizz and chocky bics. So many personal touches. When I reported an issue with the Wii, it was fixed asap. Just in case you’re wondering, I’m not related to the host (lol), it’s just that this is a really special place! Think of the cottage in the movie The Holiday. I look forward to revisiting.

What can I say. For me it’s exactly what air bnb is all about.. quirky extremely well put together accommodation in a beautiful location! Canoes.. bikes.. cooking facilities.. food storage.. shower. Toilets. Areas to play., the tiny house is just amazing. Beds are great and stove is perfect! Sitting out on the decking with the fire pit watching the river and inquisitive cows 😂 while roasting marshmallows! It’s just all perfect. John was the perfect host and extremely helpful and his doggy is so friendly, thank you for sharing what you have built. we will most definitely be back soon! Chris and Louise

Beautiful place and very relaxing. Disappointed that there was no coffee machine as listed as we had purchased coffee pods, but not the end of the world. Will stay again when we visit the Peak District again.

We had a large group stay for 2 nights, and found that the communal spaces worked really well. We appreciated having enough space for people to sit and eat together, with a separate lounge area that was similarly big enough for everyone to comfortably gather. The beds were comfortable, and the flexibility of the layout was appreciated. We had a nice meal out that was only 10mins drive away, and enjoyed the nice walks in the area. Communication from the host was responsive. There is only one small parking space at the property but there was plenty of on-street parking within close proximity.

our stay at staycation cottages in bakewell was lovely. the love nest Lodge was very quaint and well equipped. the bathroom was especially layed out nicely. I enjoyed the access to the football playing area, pool area and the swimming pool. we used the bbq area once and made full use of the boot room for leaflets and information for our stay would definitely return back

We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. The space is great and as an extra bonus, you get to use a heated pool and brilliant games room. We went early Jan and there was loads of snow, as well as pretty cold temperatures, but the house warmed up very quickly and we were always more than comfortable. The property is close enough to Bakewell for a short drive or taxi ride, should you want to venture into town. We're thinking about going back in the summer.

Biggest asset was as a peaceful base for a week’s walking in the White Peak. Great location for Bakewell and Hartington areas. Good mix of scenery and plenty of dog friendly pubs. Pool a bonus. Accommodation was comfortable and a couple of maintenance issues were resolved without fuss.

Brilliant location, we stayed at Clover House before and after our wedding in Sheffield with a party of six. Very comfortable, spacious accommodation and the hot tub was lovely and well maintained. Also loved the goats and great space in the field for taking our dog with lots of walking available nearby. We also visited Matlock farm park 5 minutes down the road which was a big hit with our 3 year old niece. Overall great dog friendly house and location, and host available and responsive to queries. Highly recommended.

Very beautiful surroundings and cleverly executed indoor swimming pool, sauna and massage rooms! Some minor issues with the heating of the Manners and sounds of the swimmers below however it’s a great little escape! Highly recommend it.
