Eclectic Hideaway with Backyard Pool & Hot Tub

Embrace the blissful ambiance of this tastefully appointed retreat. The home features terraced living areas, rustic wood accents, an array of furnishings and decor, central heat and air conditioning, well supplied kitchen and a backyard patio with a dining space, lounges, gas grill, a solar heated pool and a hot tub. Four bicycles are available for guests to use. Note: Solar heated pool is usually comfortably warm from May to October. It is not heated during the winter months. The hot tub is heated year-round. NO PARTIES: including bachelor, bachelorette, wedding rehearsal dinners, etc. Our 4 bedroom, 3 bath home is approximately 2000 sq. feet. It accommodates 8 guests. The sleeping arrangements consist of 1 Cal King Bed, 3 Queen Beds. The house is located on a small, private cul-de-sac. The neighbors are all friendly, mostly original owners making for a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Noisy parties are NOT appropriate. The dining room boasts a beautiful wooden dining table that seats 8. The fully equipped kitchen has granite counters, custom cabinetry, gas range, microwave hood, dish washer, and an island with counter stools and recessed lighting. Feel free to use all the kitchen appliances, pots, pans, coffee maker, etc. The living room includes a 60-inch smart TV and a Bose surround sound system. The family/game room (stocked with an assortment of board games) contains a fireplace/wood stove, wet bar and opens to the patio area. The backyard has a solar heated swimming pool (cold in the winter months, generally comfortable June to October) and 5 person hot tub (heated year round), and is furnished with comfortable, matching dining and club chair sets. The master bedroom boasts a cal-king sleigh bed with quality bedding and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom includes a queen size bed and a window sitting area. The third bedroom has a queen size bed. The fourth bedroom is located downstair; has a queen bed and is adjacent to the third bathroom. Other amenities include: • Free wifi • Washer/dryer • Gas BBQ grill • 4 Bicycles • Central air/heat Note: this home is a standard "tri-level". There is a shorter than normal stairway (9 steps) between the main floor and the second floor. There is an even shorter stairway (5 steps) from the main floor down to the family room and backyard. Total of 14 steps. This is the same total number of steps (treads) typically found on stairways between the first and second floors of most two story homes. (Additionally, the foyer is raised a little less than a normal stair step.) So, it has the same number of stair steps as most 2 story homes. However, the steps are divided into two shorter stairways. Lockbox code and instructions provided prior to your arrival. We are always available by phone/text and we have a local manager who lives very close by. The property is located on a quiet, private cul-de-sac with friendly neighbors and easy access to downtown, parks, and wineries. Home is located just off Arnold Drive near the golf course. Wine/Apple Country Cottage, Centrally Located

Play golden oldies on an upright piano in a home filled with antique furniture, folk art, and lots of books and games. The kitchen and bathroom also retain their vintage vibe. A drop leaf desk and 100 mbps Wi-Fi provide a comfortable working space. Come in the spring or summer to see the garden in full bloom! (Photos included here do not do it justice...) The dappled shade of a grape covered pergola is a wonderful place for lunch. The house has two bedrooms that look out on the gardens. The master bedroom has a queen bed, and the second bedroom has a double bed. There is a well-equipped kitchen and laundry room. Water in the house is delicious, purified well water. A 55" tv is in one of the bedrooms (disguised by a pull-down map). It has Roku but no cable. Enjoy lots of games and books to read, a piano in the living room and access to high speed internet and WiFi. Wander in the gardens or orchard in the back. Relax or dine under the shady grape arbor. I live in a small cottage in the back of the property. While I respect your privacy, I enjoy meeting new guests and welcome your questions. On parle francais. Se habla espanol. The house is located in apple country, outside the small town of Sebastopol. It's very easy to find in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood across the street from a Christmas tree farm. Apple orchards and vineyards are within walking distance. The quaint town of Graton is half a mile away. It has an art gallery operated by local artists, an antique store and a variety of restaurants including the Underwood Bar and Bistro, rated as "number 4 of America's 50 Most Amazing Wine Experiences by the Food and Wine Magazine." A recent article in the local paper describes nearby Graton well: https://www.pressdemocrat.com/news/9514352-181/explore-graton-west-county-town?artslide=1 In the town of Sebastopol, there is a large variety of popular restaurants. We also have over 40 wineries, including the top rated: Merry Edwards, FEATURED IN JULY 2014 ISSUE OF SUNSET MAGAZINE and just 0.2 miles from the house! Graton Ridge Cellars, FEATURED IN JULY 2014 ISSUE OF SUNSET MAGAZINE and 0.6 miles from the house! Red Car Wine Company, 0.3 miles away. Iron Horse Vineyards also featured in July 2014 issue of Sunset Magazine and 3.6 miles from the house! Other recommended wineries in Sebastopol include: Lynmar Iron Horse Taft Street Cahill Dutton-Goldfield (one third mile from house) Scherrer Freeman Marimar. Enjoy several hiking trails close by, or drive on scenic country roads directly from the house to a variety of attractions. There is a gorgeous half-hour drive through the town of Occidental to the ocean. The Russian River Steelhead Beach is 5.6 miles away. Drive ten minutes farther to visit Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve where you can walk through a towering forest of trees that are hundreds of years old. Historic Healdsburg, with its central plaza, shops, restaurants and wineries is also a scenic 25 minute drive away. The 9-hole Sebastopol Golf Course is a little over a mile away. There is a variety of grocery stores in Sebastopol. My favorite is Andy's, a fruit and vegetable stand that also carries other food. It takes 3 minutes to drive there. This area was not impacted by the fires.

Breezy hike to Cascade Falls and Three Wells. Take in the rustic-chic vibe of this century-old hideaway in the midst of towering treetops. Gather for alfresco outdoor dining off the kitchen. Following a day's hike from one of the many trail heads relax and take in the beauty from the decks. Views from every room to the surrounding forest. Down a long path is the entrance of the home. Not appropriate for guests with limited mobility. Renovated with new furnishings, beds and high quality linens. Refinished original hardwood floors throughout. Renovated kitchen features restored vintage Wedgewood range, Kohler farmhouse sink with Brizo faucet, new Kitchen Aid dishwasher, and custom cabinetry. Thoughtfully designed custom lighting, as well as lighting by Restoration Hardware & Rejuvenation. My husband and I live in the neighboring town of Tiburon, and use this home occasionally as a nearby retreat to rest, enjoy the outdoors, and spend family time with our kids living in nearby San Francisco. Kindly note our strict policy precluding any gatherings larger than 6 guests. To access the house, please note the entry includes a relatively long pathway leading to our home. The redwood steps are newly built and comply with code standards for outdoor steps (evenly spaced, graded with proper incline, and tread height). Due to the many steps it may be challenging for those with limited mobility or small children. You have access to the entire home during your stay, as well as nearby public walking trails into town. I will provide my guests with access information to the house a couple of days before arrival. There will be additional information about the house on a welcome letter there inside; and, while your privacy will be completely respected, we are happy to be available to answer questions. Nestled in the hills, the property boasts a scenic walking path which leads down into Mill Valley town square. The nearby station offers bus transportation into San Francisco. Muir Woods National Monument is also located within an easy drive or an adventurous two and a half mile hike. It is most convenient to drive to our place. To get around Mill Valley there are many interesting walking paths and trails to explore the immediate area. Uber and Lyft are convenient for rides leaving the town square. For day trips into San Francisco, ferries depart from nearby Sausalito & Tiburon. Also, bus transportation into SF leaves from the Mill Valley town square. House layout includes— upstairs: one queen bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining room, vintage style bathroom, deck with dining furniture, office, and music/art room—this level does not have central heating, but does have radiant floor heating in bathroom, remote control heater in bedroom, & radiant heaters in kitchen and living room. downstairs: three bedrooms, cedar lined bathroom, living room with TV, laundry room, and two decks with lounge furniture; this level does have central heating. Our place accommodates a maximum of 6 guests.The rate includes the City of Mill Valley 12% taxes (hospitality & tourism).

Sit quietly by the fire pit for a chance to spot deer. You feel as if your all alone and have private surroundings, yet so close to everything you may need. The house is open and inviting. Outside has an amazing fire pit with beautiful views with deer families traveling through the property often. It is a peaceful home and location yet so close to many incredible places to visit like Yosemite National Park. You have access to the whole house - garage excluded. Nestled among the trees, this home is close to the town of Oakhurst, where there are plenty of stores and places to eat. The home is a short drive from the entrance of Yosemite National Park. The home is very private. You cannot see neighboring homes. Public transportation is available to Fresno and to Madera from Oakhurst but not really in town. There is a company that will take you to Yosemite for an additional charge. New propane bottles are in the fire pit and bbq for your use. If they run out there will be a fee to fill them up again, $25 per bottle - please notify us if you do need a refill.
