Historical Water Tower Montabaur

Built in 1879, the listed water tower in Montabaur offers a special and cosy ambience. In a prime location in Montabaur, between the ICE train station and the old town, pretty much everything the city has to offer is within walking distance. The tower is historically preserved, but still offers many modern amenities. Around 1990, it was completely renovated and converted into living space. In 2023 it was renovated with a new bathroom. The apartment in the Hasen-Haus is located not far from Lake Affoldern, right at the entrance to the Kellerwald National Park – the perfect start to wonderful hikes. It is about 2 km to Lake Edersee. Around the lake there are countless leisure activities for all ages: the wildlife park, the summer toboggan run, a treetop trail, the climbing park, bike tours, water sports and swimming on and in the lake, a canoe tour on the Eder and much more.

The apartment is located in a listed, former forester's lodge, less than 200m from the Rhine and its bike path. It is located on the edge of the forest and exudes a unique charm. The apartment has a kitchen, with a refrigerator, stove and oven. There are also two 1.40 x 2.00 m beds. You can either end the evening comfortably on the small terrace at the entrance or with a movie in the home cinema with a projector, screen and 5.1 system.
