Day trips to Lübeck (old town), Kiel, Bad Segeberg (Karl May Festival), Hamburg or the Halligen or Heligoland are easily doable.

If you are into nature in the summer, we have an amazing forest and lake in walking distance with a rich wildlife, a barbecue in the garden and a lawn to play on. If you arrive in the winter months, Flensburg town is just 7 km away, with a sea of cafes offering both hot chocolate, coffee or the whole big dinner. If you're into homey, the fireplace and candles are waiting for you.
