No crowds of tourists. (They're in Giethoorn Zuid.) Here, you can still enjoy the wonderful tranquillity and beauty of the historic village of Giethoorn. Unfortunately not suitable for infants/children from 0 to 8.

A beautiful wooden house located on my parents' property. Relax in an oasis of greenery from spring to early autumn, a beautiful warm autumn feeling when the trees change color or seek coziness in the winter months. In the beautiful surroundings, there are many places to visit. Giethoorn, fortified town Steenwijk and the Havelterheide. Furthermore, there are three national parks nearby, NP Weerribben Wieden, the Drents Friese Wold and the Dwingelderveld.

Sleeping with the sheep & a whole herd of horses.

Wake up to the view of the dining room of a herd of horses that live in freedom, 2 pigs who make their bed every night in front of the window and sometimes a sheep walks by. Closer to the pure things in life. Therefore, there is no Wi-Fi and no TV. There is a large table for playing games together and a lovely sofa for enjoying a glass of wine together. Making beautiful memories together! And even better, the first lambs will be born in early October!

Fully furnished, with a cosy pellet stove and a wood-burning stove, this is truly a place to unwind! The cottage has its own fenced garden with a wood-fired Finnish sauna and is adjacent to a forest where you can take a pleasant walk. You can also walk from the cottage to a lovely swimming lake in about 20 minutes.
