An ultimate English cottage with nearby Highclere Castle a 10 minute drive away. Lovely walks and pubs nearby and shopping in Newbury town centre. A lovely retreat for couples, friends, artists, writers, and those just looking for a peaceful getaway. The cottage is NOT suitable for children under 12 years of age because of the spiral staircase and pond. NO pets because we have severe allergies. We are in the middle of the village of Highclere on a country lane with many beautiful walks on the doorstep. The accommodation is within walking distance of our local pub 'The Red House' which serves delicious food and takeaways. A 10 minute drive from Newbury and all its amenities. As well as Highclere Castle, we are ideally located for Newbury Races & Bombay Sapphire Gin Distillery.

Lovely self-contained annex with outdoor space

A lovely self-contained annex furnished to a high standard in a quiet rural location on the Berkshire/Hampshire border, close to Newbury and Oxford and walking distance to Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey). Fenced secluded garden area with seating and BBQ for outdoor dining. The Annex is completely separate from our house with its own entrance and there's an allocated parking space for one car. Well behaved dogs are always welcome and there are some lovely walks on our doorstep.
