Wonderfully peaceful surroundings, nothing to hear apart from the birds and the sheep. The Byre is near to the house but far away from any others as it's down it's own little lane and next to the fell. The light pollution is so low that you can see a sky full of stars. The accommodation itself is super cosy and has just what you need without being cluttered. w We very much enjoyed baths by the log burner and the pretty little outside area with the lights. We would definitely recommend Jon as a host and the Byre as a peaceful stay away from the city.

My friends and I had a great stay here. The place was very comfortable and felt like a home away from home. The bed was especially comfy, and everything seemed newly furnished and well taken care of. It had all the general amenities we needed, which made the stay super convenient. One of the highlights was the beautiful patio—perfect for relaxing in the morning and stargazing. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy and well-equipped stay!

We have just spent 3 lovely nights at Joanna’s beautiful home. Town End Cottage was everything we expected it to be and more. The space is absolutely beautiful with everything you could possibly need. Only a 35 minute drive away from Windermere and 25 from Aira Force waterfall, we had endless options of sights to see. Thank you to Joanna and family (including the lovely kitties) for a peaceful stay. We hope to be back soon!

All 10 of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this quaint AirBnb at Bowerdale. It’s a cozy property with everything you need located in a gorgeous farm. We were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by Alpacas in our backyard on Day 1. The kitchen was super well equipped and had everything we need for all meals of the day. The heating worked well and the AirBnb stayed warm despite the 1° weather. There were many extras that were very thoughtful (e.g. disposal bags, cakes, BBQ materials) that made the stay extra comfy. It’s only an hour drive from many of the popular Lake District sights as well. We wished we could stay here longer and would come back in a heartbeat! Highly recommend.
