Cumfrey Yurt at Fairy Bell Wood

KimberleyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
It was mine and my partner’s first weekend away together and this place was absolutely amazing!! Such a lovely little yurt on a beautiful bit of land. The surrounding woods were a joy to explore and we honestly couldn’t be happier with our stay. Check-in was so easy and I really appreciated the privacy we were given our entire stay. The inside was so much better than the pictures, loved the flowers and note Emily left for us. It’s the little things that made us feel really welcome and we can’t thank them enough!! We were a bit on the fence about the shower and toilet situation but it ended up being better than we expected so if you’re debating whether it’s a dealbreaker, just go for it! It’s a place we’d love to return to one day and hopefully we’ll be able to! Thanks again to such wonderful hosts!!

Luxury Woodland Glamping Pod Heaves Wood - Yan

Great and relaxing location for hiking and painting in my case. Spent a couple of days in the area and really enjoyed it. The hut was perfect as a small base, clean and comfortable. Even has a rather social chicken who pops round to say hello.

Flat in Orton

What a stunning location and such a beautiful apartment! Windermere, Kendal, Ambleside and other main towns are a lovely drive, and the shops and pub in Orton are just down the road. Tom’s apartment was clean, comfortable and fully equipped for self-catering which was fabulous. The grounds are stunning, and we loved every moment. Thanks Tom xx

Miller's Rest

EleanorRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Had a lovely stay at Miller’s Rest, with a wonderful welcome in the form of homemade scones and a friendly chat with Claire. The hamlet is really close to the M6 but the noise was hardly noticeable and the area so peaceful and beautiful. Really refreshing to explore on foot, even in the pouring rain! Thank you, Claire and Dave, for a great stay!

A L’al hidden gem, in a L’al gem of a town!

CarolineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed at Harry's place for just one night but wished it was for longer after getting a feel for the place. The accommodation is beautifully designed with brilliant features in every corner. We had everything we needed at the cottage and Harry is a fab communicator giving us lots of helpful information. The town itself was buzzing with interesting characters and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Ulverston and can't wait to return.

A lovely, clean and simple pod in a peaceful garden setting. Watching the squirrels scampering around and playing in the trees was such a treat!

The Meadow Cottage at Scalebeck

CrispinRating, 5 stars11 months ago
Lovely and peaceful setting down narrow country lanes, yet convenient for Appleby and the M6. The Lake District is about a half hour drive away but the Westmoreland Dales are stunning anyway. The friendly village pub serves good food and beer at modest prices. The cottage is very well equipped with a big bedroom and a fabulous shower in the adjacent bathroom. Only slight downside is that, being downstairs, the bedroom gets cold in less clement weather. However, there is central heating and a fan heater can be borrowed if really necessary. Kay went out of her way to ensure everything was fine for us.
