The simple life personified. After a short time getting oriented and realizing there were no locks on doors (be sure to bring a small padlock if that’s a concern), we fell deep into the slow and restive rhythm of the place. Beyond charming with simple details to match the back-to-basics decor. Top it off with a private beach on the vlei, cozy hot tub, outdoor shower and a very comfortable bed, and what more could you ask for?

This Was an ideal space for our group of freinds. Very tidy, clean and spacious. Great place for families to unwind. Very hospitable with pool and trampoline. Sitting on the sofa watching the sun go down is an absolute treat and relaxing! Ideal for us!

What an absolute gem. Perfectly charming house. Attention to details. the surroundings of nature's is so peacefull. Waking up at the sound of birds and the springboks outside the window. The damn was absolutely perfect to cool off. Second time here and not the last.

J’ai passé un excellent séjour dans ce logement ! L’appartement était impeccablement propre, décoré avec goût et extrêmement bien équipé. Le lit était très confortable, et j’ai adoré les petites attentions laissées par l’hôte à notre arrivée.

After spending time in some remote locations, Tarantula Guesthouse was the perfect soft landing. The house is incredibly spacious, kept wonderfully cool in the heat, and felt like a true home away from home. We loved the lovely braai area and the pool, which were a hit for both us and our kids. The property is very private from the other cottages, which made it even more relaxing. The full kitchen and access to all DSTV channels added to the convenience, allowing us to unwind completely. We enjoyed our stay so much that we even requested a late check-out because we didn’t want to leave! Hendrina was exceptionally kind, and communication was seamless from start to finish. We can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be back. Looking forward to staying here again!

We had an incredible few nights at Michaels stone cabin, beautifully furnished, super cosy, amazing views, cold plunge pool, hot outdoor bathtubs - everything was perfect! Can highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Cedar House. The farm is breathtakingly beautiful, and Greg was a helpful and responsive host. He also makes exceptional sourdough bread! We'll definitely be back.

This place has it all. Huge kitchen and storage area with views over the mountain and clanwilliam dam on the ground floor. Great breakfast nook. Indoor fireplace, outside braai area and pool with pool net to keep the kids safe. Upstairs you’ll find a tv room & bar area with air conditioning and WiFi throughout. All 3 bedrooms have en-suites with ample shelving in the rooms to unpack on. There is a guest loo! Bonuses for us were a carport to park the boat under to dry out. Double garage & functioning alarm system linked to a quick response company as we learnt in error. Our Host Amelia was helpful and accommodating. We look forward to returning.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the place was clean, comfortable and close to the beach where we enjoyed spectacular sunsets and the waves crashing on the rocks. Only one note able drawback was that there’s no WiFi, which would have been great to have. Thanks for opening your home.

I stayed during a very cold weekend and Retha’s place was so cozy! I had everything I needed, a lot of thought has definitely gone into this place. Thanks Retha!

Superbe logement au rez de chaussée avec petit jardin et accès direct à la plage, vue splendide, très propre, décoration épurée, bonne literie. Céleste avait tout organisé, incluant une bouteille de vin blanc. Possibilité d'acheter du poisson directement au port quand les pêcheurs reviennent. Très jolie plage paisible. A savoir, il y a un autre logement au dessus avec un balcon, mais il n'était pas occupé pendant notre séjour. Bref, une superbe maison, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !!!

We loved our stay in Elandsbaai. Freda and Theo are the most welcoming, friendly people you will ever meet. They made us feel like old friends, and helped wherever they could. Freda even surprised us with an amazing bread, that we completely demolished for breakfast 😁 The house is very spacious and the photos really do not do it justice. We were surprised at the amount of room there is in the house. Inside, you will find everything you need for a relaxing stay. Thank you Freda and Theo for your kindness and for making our holiday memorable! We will definitely visit again soon. PS. If you are a train lover like me you will LOVE the Sishen Saldanha Train that literally drives through your backyard. It added a lot of excitement to our stay.

FABULOUS stay

Jodie was the best host you could ask for. Very response to all messages I sent him in a short time. The cottage was exactly as described. It was clean, tidy, and felt like a nice, safe, and peaceful place to stay. We stayed for just under a month and loved every moment of it.

Great location! The pictures are a small glimpse of what you can expect from the views. The hosts are very friendly and communicative. The house is fairly well stocked with kitchen utensils and crockery (if you'd like to do some cooking).

We had a lovely stay, Tuis Huis was a perfect base to view the beautiful spring flowers. It is a very clean, comfortable cottage, that is well located.

Very good accommodation. We were given a friendly welcome straight away and were offered a hiking tour, which we did the next day. Even though driving to and from the accommodation was very challenging, it was also a little adventure ☺️

We had a wonderful stay at Die Heks Se Huis! The location was easy to find, and the place was spotless. Our host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, she gave us some background information on the house and when it was built. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed, making our stay comfortable and relaxing. The best part was the peaceful and quiet atmosphere, which allowed us to disconnect from technology and recharge. It was the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We thoroughly enjoyed our two-day stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a serene getaway.
