It was a wonderful weekend away. The location is definitely tops once you have seen what the town looks like! Lamberts Bay Municipality has a lot to learn from Vredendal and Van Rynsdorp. The police station is an absolute embarrassment.....

Still Waters is a lovely guest house at the historic Louw family homestead on the vlei, with a beautiful view thereof. Hosts are delightful. Well equipped homely space, tended to with care and thoughtfulness. Peaceful and relaxing environment. Bath and shower in bathroom, and well equipped kitchenette en suite. Fire pit and braai cylinder available. Hosts are helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be back. As for activities, besides enjoying the quiet and pure natural environment at Still Waters, we visited Bird Island at Lambert's Bay (25 mins by car) to see the Cape Gannet Colony, and then Eland's Cave to see the ancient rock paintings made by |Xam-ka !'E, including the hundreds of hand prints made !giten with red ochre, which are magnificent and moving. This is a secret treasure of a space.

Booked accommodation for one of our truck drivers that only needed a place to sleep for the night. This place was perfect for his overnight stay and had everything that he needed to make his short visit comfortable. He enjoyed it a lot and will definitely book there again if we are in the area. Lara was also very helpful in helping us sort out a parking spot for the truck! Thanks so much Lara!!

located in the heart of lambert’s bay, this modern yet homely unit made for a perfect getaway! the house was equipped with everything you may need and carol’s hosting exceeded my expectations 👏🏼 she was attentive and proactive from the moment we booked up until the very last minute from active communication to going the extra mile in terms of making us feel welcome, the host went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable from start to finish. the unit is located a stone throw away from the beach and is centre to many wonderful restaurants, so it would come highly recommended if you’re looking for a neat, spacious and peaceful break 🙌🏼
