Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Monteverde

We had a fabulous stay at the Genesis house. Jose and family were so kind and inviting, we felt like we were part of the family! The horseback ride was a highlight of our trip - very fun and informational. Jose had to take the washing machine to be fixed the morning we arrived but he took our laundry and washed it (and folded it!) for us due to the inconvenience and made sure the washer was back the next day. The pool was great and we felt very safe. We felt like we were leaving friends when it was time to leave!

Daniel and his co-host were amazing. They informed us of places to visit and assisted us getting to some of them. (We would want others to be aware however,that they might lose connection with google maps at some points on the way finding the location) Nevertheless we were truly impressed with the place and felt at home. They were quick to respond to any queries we had and offered helpful suggestions. Truly value for money! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and recommend this place 100%

Los anfitriones nos dejaron canasta con café, cervezas, comestibles, etc. Realmente destaco su atención. La casa muy cómoda. Al fondo tiene una cabaña de 1 cama grande con baño privado. El jacuzzi le aporta un plus. Muy completa su cocina. Excelente atención de sus anfitriones.

It truly is a little slice of heaven! Pictures don’t come close to doing it justice! We stayed 3 nights. It was easy to get to and close to the La Fortuna area. We can’t recommend pie in the sky enough! From check in to checkout it was wonderful!

Beautiful setting, clean place and just as described. We had an issue at check in with door code but the host was quick to respond. Would stay again.

Just a short drive to the downtown of La Fortuna! Nice gated community with your own private tub and a shared pool. Lovely large beds in each room, clean space and overall a great location.

Great stay- while it was rainy during our stay it was a great place to be at since we could walk right across the parking lot to get to the sloth tours! Super great location- also very close to the chocolate tour we did (6 mins away!) and loved the hot tub

Die Wohnung hat alles, was man für einen Kurzaufenthalt benötigt. Heydi ist eine tolle Gastgeberin (sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit). Die Lage kam uns sehr gelegen, da nicht in La Fortuna und schon Richtung Vulkan. Dennoch sind in direkter Nachbarschaft Buchungsoptionen verfügbar und ein kleiner Laden für das Nötigste. Bedenke, dass nur eine Kochplatte verfügbar ist, weswegen sich die Zubereitung komplexer Mahlzeiten nicht anbietet. Das Schlafsofa hat an einer Klappstelle einen harten Bereich und könnte daher für Erwachsene etwas unbequem sein. Wir hatten damit aber kein Problem. Besonderer Pluspunkt ist die kostenlose Nutzung der gegenüber liegenden Therme mit Mineralbädern. Würden dort definitiv nochmal buchen

Our family of four with two teenagers loved this place. The instructions and YouTube video were super helpful when we had to find this gem hidden back from the Main Street. The jacuzzi was great and they really used all of the space so well to create a little oasis that was close to the action but felt a world away. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay! The place was super easy to find, and from the moment we arrived, everything felt clean and welcoming. The bed was incredibly comfy. One of the highlights was definitely the pool and jacuzzi—perfect for relaxing after a day out. Everything was just as described, if not better. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable getaway!

Highly recommend booking Villa Calathea if you are staying in La Fortuna. The pictures listed on Airbnb are exactly what you are getting. The view of the Arenal Volcano is simply breathtaking, after a busy day of exploring and hiking we always looked forward to unwinding at the Airbnb. The jacuzzi in the backyard is so peaceful. Santiago is a great host and sent a bunch of restaurants to check out in the downtown area, he also explained we had access to the amenities of Los Lagos property which we enjoyed on one of the days. Santiago also kept checking in during our stay to make sure we were enjoying the property and didn’t need anything.

I stayed at this place for 3 nights in April 2025. Great value and location, also very clean. I highly recommend getting the massage! I would stay here again. Thanks!

Best airbnb I’ve stayed at, and I have stayed at a lot of different ones in various countries. The view overlooking the rainforest, the patio with a hot tub and shower, the level of thought and detail that was put into the house and amenities, it’s all absolutely incredible. Would not hesitate to book here again.

Very nice Airbnb that is beautifully furnished with love. It has a nice big terrace where we loved to have our coffee in the morning. Perhaps you will get visited by a cat or a dog from the neighbourhood. Both are really adorable and we enjoyed chilling with them. They are not aggressive in any way. It was a bit difficult for us to find at first, but our host helped us very quickly. Once we arrived, we immediately felt at home. The only small drawback: The neighborhood is a bit remote from the town center with all the restaurants, which means you have to take the car every time to get somewhere. But that wasn't a big problem for us. However, we did not feel unsafe or uncomfortable at any point. To sum it up: We fully recommend this place and would live to come back.

Our stay at Villa Calibri in Refugio Verde was wonderful. We were only able to stay 2 nights but it was beautiful. This home has a back garden and plenty of walking trails. It is right across the street from the sloth night tours. Speaking of tours and transport, Elvis and his team made certain we had all the help we needed. The home is spotless and the way the villa is separated was perfect for our party. Definitely stay with Elvis when in Monteverde!

We had a family of four and stayed in Monteverde for 2 nights here. The airbnb was easy to find with the clear instructions from the host and place was very clean. It is just a few minutes drive from all the restaurants and shops and next to a night tour as well. The kitchen was well furbished and we were able to cook a meal and drink some wine in the comfort of the airbnb. The host was very responsive and had great suggestions and also offered to book tours for us. We would definitely come back!

Magical honeymoon escape in Monteverde! This place was absolutely perfect for our romantic getaway. Tucked away in the lush cloud forest, the cabin was cozy, beautifully designed, and felt like something out of a fairytale. We loved waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying our coffee with those stunning views. The privacy, peacefulness, and charm made it an ideal honeymoon spot. The host was incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Monteverde is such a special place, and staying here made it even more unforgettable. Highly recommend for couples looking for a dreamy escape!

Excelente lugar, súper privado y muy acogedor. La vista es espectacular y está muy bien equipado. Alex e Irma fueron muy amigables y nos ayudaron en todo momento (incluso con los objetos que dejamos perdidos😅) Viajamos en un carro bajo y no tuvimos problema con la cuesta para entrar, es calle de lastre pero se sube bien, incluso con lluvia el carro subió bien.

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin in the forest! The location is absolutely perfect—nestled in nature, yet just a short drive from both the village and the national park. The cabin itself is cozy, well-equipped, and has everything you need for a few relaxing days surrounded by peaceful scenery. It’s the ideal base for exploring the area, whether you’re hiking, enjoying the forest, or simply unwinding in a quiet, charming setting. Highly recommended!
